Field Trip Day with Teo and Ikky

After being harassed day in and day out, the day has finally come. I'm standing by a fence on a farm north of the city and the mansion. The guys couldn't wait to come and bugged Leon and Scorpio to the point that if they didn't get out of their faces, something bad would happen.  Teorus and Ichthys were bouncing like kids in a candy store because they never had the chance to visit anywhere outside the city that wasn't part of their duties.

By my feet was a basket full of food for lunch and we're all dressed in casual clothing so as not to raise suspicion. The farmer we spoke to was very kind to us and allowed us to spend time on his land. I explained to him how they've never been to a farm before and beamed with pride that he even had visitors. He told us that we could spend as much time as we wanted and to look for him if we needed anything.

I'm day dreaming a bit as the gentle breeze grazes my skin when I hear someone calling my name in the distance.

"Hey! Hey, [___]! Come on," Teorus called from the field, arm waving in the air. Ichthys stood opposite him and a brown spotted cow ignoring the two stood between.

Taking in the scene, I laughed to myself. "I can't believe we're on a farm," I mutter to myself as I grab the basket and make my way to the gods. "What's up," I ask as I held the basket with both hands.
"Teo is too thrilled," Ichthys said with a huge grin on his face. "He's made a new friend!"

"A new..." I tilted my head in confusion as my eyes went from Ichthys to Teorus to the cow.

"Yup," Teorus replied, happy as a clam. "[___], I'd like you to meet Bonnie. Bonnie, this is [___]. She's a reincarnated goddess."

Bonnie blinked twice and nodded as she chewed her cud. I assume that she was acknowledging my presence.

Not to be rude, or judgmental, I smile and greet the bovine. "Nice to meet you, Bonnie."
Another nod and blink from the cow and nothing more.

"Oh, don't mind her," Teorus said to me as he brushed her side. "She's waiting to me milked."
"Didn't Mr. Farmer say he'd show us how to do that?" Ichthys had a pondering look on his face as he looked Bonnie over. I don't think she liked that as her eyes looked a little tense.

"He did, but he said might not be able to do it until later." Teorus looked disappointed. "i'm sorry, Bonnie," he said as he stroked the cow's side. "Gotta wait for Mr. Farmer."

Bonnie simply nodded and continued to chew.
"Well, since we have to wait, why don't we have lunch?" I held up the basket with a smile. "Yeay!" Teorus and Ichthys managed to be excited in unison and went to find a spot for us to sit.

"There's a tree with plenty of shade," Ichthys pointed out as he took the basket from me. "I'll go set the blanket down."

I nodded in agreement as I walked along side Teorus. Sighing in relief, I stretched my arms out. "So, are you enjoying yourself?"

Teorus was beaming as we watched Ichthys gleefully set up our picnic lunch under a huge tree. "Absolutely!" Turning to me, his smile got softer. "Thanks for doing this. I know I've been kind of a pain about this trip..."

"Kinda?" Ichthys retorted as we approached. "You bugged everyone every day about this trip." Grinning, he continued. "Not that I didn't not want to come."

"You were no better," I said half scolding. "Hued had to tell you about cow tipping."

"I thought it was something humans gave to cows for their offering of milk, but the actual thing sounded much more fun." Ichthys grinned from ear to ear. "Can't we just-"

"Absolutely not!" Teorus frowned. "What would Bonnie say of she knew we did that to one of her friends?"

"Besides," I added, "Mr. Farmer was too kind to let us visit on such short notice. We can't do that to him... Or Bonnie's friends."

Ichthys shrugged with a sigh as he took his seat. "You're no fun at all."

"Oh, hush and be quiet," I scolded him for real this time. "It's lunch time." I started unloading the basket as Teorus took a seat next to me, Ichthys opposite us. I packed fruit and bentos and other things. They joyfully helped out and we settled in for a peaceful lunch picnic under a huge tree and watch as Bonnie and friends grazed on the grass in the sun.
