Chapter 20
Nadia's pov
We just finished paying tribute to Mary. Everyone that she worked with and people from the other world that she helped that weren't here when Apocalyptic Michael possessed me and made me kill them.
Even Bobby's back as well. He killed a wraith that he and Mary found in their last hunt to gloat.
I am in my room, calling Axel to check on him. "At least you're doing okay. How's Victoria?" I asked.
"She's better. I actually made her a vampire like me," Axel said. "That's good," I said.
"Yeah but she only drinks blood from the blood bags I get," he said. "I'm glad you guys are okay," I said, smiling.
"So how's everything in Lebanon? Sorry for your loss," he said. "Thank you. We're doing okay. I don't think Dean's going to be okay," I said.
"I bet. He just lost his mom. I know how it feels to lose both parents," he said. I nodded. "Well, I better go check on Dean to make sure he's okay," I said.
"Okay. Take care of yourself," he said. "You as well. Keep Victoria safe," I said, ending the call.
I headed to the main area, seeing Bobby, Sam and Cas. "Where's Dean?" I asked.
"He left just a moment. He needed to get out for a while," Sam said. "I better go check on him," I said, grabbing my winter jacket.
I zapped myself to Dean's location. I see Dean sitting on a log, slowly walking behind him.
I can hear him in tears. I sat next to him.
Dean gasped softly. "Hey. It's just me," I whispered, touching his shoulder.
Dean nodded, and continued to shed tears. I held onto him, kissing his cheek.
Dean turned to me, hugging me. He continued to cry on my chest as I held him.
"How was your case in Chicago?" he asked. "Long...," I said.
Dean nodded. "Was it solved?" he asked.
I nodded. "Ligeia's minions abducted three women that Colt, Steve and I saved. Two of them are dead but the third girl's still alive. She's safe now," I said.
"That's good. At least Ligeia won't find you in Chicago," he said. "True that," I said. Dean and I held each other.
---
Dean and I made it back to the Bunker. We headed downstairs.
"Hey, you two just got back?" Sam asked. "Yeah, Nadia found me," Dean said.
"How are you feeling?" Sam asked. "What are you working on?" Dean asked.
"Trying to find Jack. We got to find him before Bobby and his crew do 'cause if they find him first," Sam paused.
"He's gonna kill them all?" Dean asked. "Seriously Dean?" I asked.
"I don't know," Sam said. "I'll grab some beers," I said, heading to the kitchen.
Next Day
Dean, Sam, Cas and I are in the library talking about Jack and the angels to help us. "So the angels are gonna help us?" Sam asked Cas.
"I was promised every effort would be made to locate Jack," Cas said. "Heaven promised? Great. We should take that to the bank," Dean said.
"Jack's powers could be a threat. It serves them to help find him," Cas said. "Same with Nadia," Dean said.
"But Jack's stronger than me," I said. "Yeah about that. I've been looking for anything weird. A university professor was found dead in his office in Ohio. His body was crystallized into a block of salt," Sam said.
"Yeah, that's weird," I said. "Salt, why does that sound familiar?" Dean asked.
"It's a pillar of salt. It's Biblical. Lot's wife. Punishment by Heaven," Cas said. "Hmm..," I said.
"This guy was an atheist. He wrote a bunch of best-selling books, trying to disprove God and Heaven," Sam said.
"I remember being taught about this in bible study when I was younger," I said. "So an angel iced him?" Dean asked.
"Not any angel," I said. "No ordinary angel could do something like that," Cas said.
"Wait, there's another. A few hours ago, the professor was killed, a lady in Texas says she fell into a crevice that opened up and she was killed," Sam said.
"Like a sinkhole?" Dean asked. "That's what I thought. A witness said it was more like a fissure opened up under her feet then closed back up with her inside," Sam said.
"And Earth opened her mouth and swallowed them up and their houses and all of the men pertained upon to Korah," Cas said.
"Numbers 26:10," I mouthed as Cas said it. "The lady was a TV evangelist. She was under investigation for thousands of dollars through fake charities," Sam said.
"EIther Chuck is back, well never gonna happen," Dean said. I raised my head up, realizing.
"Jack...," Cas and I said together. I started groaning, grabbing my head.
"Nadia?" Cas asked. "Cas, don't. Nadia's having a vision," Dean said.
My eyes went back to normal, gasping. "Nadia, what did you see?" Sam asked.
"Jack heard a church members' prayers. This pastor interferes and Jack curses him with worms coming out of his face until his dying breath. He's still alive," I said.
"What's the pastor's name?" Cas asked. "Pastor Ames," I said, telling the location. Dean, Sam and Cas nodded.
---
I am in the bunker, waiting for Dean and Sam to return. I am having more visions of Jack, creating angels and Dumah's behind it all.
My phone starts ringing. I looked at it, seeing Cas's name.
I answered it. "Hey, Cas. Pastor Ames okay?" I asked.
"We just interviewed him. He saw Jack but after we left the room, he died," Cas said. "Cas, Jack's not just making new angels," I said.
"What do you mean?" Cas asked. "Ask Dumah. I think she's making Jack do this. You need to get Jack away from her," I said.
"Please tell Dean and Sam what you saw in your vision," Cas said. "I will. See you later," I said, ending the call.
I got up, heading to the library. I see Sam and Dean. "Hey, guys," I said.
"Nadia!" Dean whispers, shushing me. "What's Sam doing?" I whispered.
"Praying to Jack to come home," Dean whispers. "Ohh," I whispered softly.
Sam finishes praying to Jack. "I guess he didn't hear me," Sam said.
I felt a wind and saw Jack appear. I sighed in relief at Jack's back.
"I did. So glad I did. I didn't think I'd ever see you again. I've been working with angels to purify Heaven and make angels. I make angels. But I really missed you guys" Jack said.
"Well, I am," I said, hugging Jack. Jack smiled. "Yes, us too, right Sam?" Dean asked.
I moved away from Jack. "Tell us, Jack, how we want to clear things up, you know, between us," Dean said.
Sam moves closer to Jack. "I know things are bad and if it helps, I regret it. The accident. What happened to Mary. She kept talking about my soul, that I didn't have a soul, she kept pushing," Jack said.
"You snapped?" I asked. Jack nodded. "She made you do it?" Dean asked.
"No, it wasn't me but I didn't want to, but this no soul thing has become an issue between us. Like Nadia said; I snapped," Jack said.
I nodded. "Once I saw what I did, I knew it, it was all over," Jack finished.
Dean looked at Jack. "So you mean... "It" being the "Accident"," Dean said.
I looked at Dean in disbelief. "I wish it didn't happen," Jack said.
"Yeah, Jack, so do we.. But we understand and we forgive you, you know for the accident," Dean said.
I looked at Dean and Sam, being scared of Jack and I can sense that they're lying to him and planning something.
"That's what you want, right, Jack? I mean you like that?" Sam asked. "I'd like for things to go back the way they were. I knew you'd understand," Jack said.
"So if we told you we were close to being able to fix your soul. We just need to keep you safe until everything's ready. You'd be okay with that?" Dean asked Jack.
"Safe? What do you mean?" Jack asked. "Well, you could hurt other people. Have another accident," Dean said.
"Oh," Jack said. "We want to keep you safe, Jack. Even Nadia does," Sam said.
"I believe he's safe in the Bunker. I can help him prevent him from snapping again," I said.
"Well, that's not what we ment, Nadia," Sam said.
I looked at Sam. "Excuse me?" I asked.
"We have to keep him safe from himself and you since he makes your power weak when he uses them. So he doesn't hurt Deanna or Jamie when come to visit until we get him better," Sam said, touching Jack's shoulder.
We head to room 5B, Dean turning on the lights. I see the Ma'lak box.
"There she is," Dean said, staring at it.
"The Ma'lak box that you made for yourself, Dean?" I asked.
"I was gonna use it when Michael was still in my head but we didn't. Plus, it's comfortable and the best feature is that it's warded. So it keeps your powers below the meltdown level," Dean said.
"Yeah, so you can't hurt anyone and nobody can hurt you," Sam said. "I understand," Jack said, looking at it.
Jack walked towards it and looked at it. "Do I just," Jack paused.
"Just hop on in," Dean said. I sighed softly, walking away since I don't believe that this is a good idea.
I want to tell Sam and Dean to stop because I saw that Dumah was using Jack. I stood behind the wall as I had seen in my vision of Dumah.
I know Dean and Sam are lying to Jack. I can hear Jack's thoughts with someone else in his thoughts that are not Jack's thoughts.
I hear the Ma'lak box being closed and locked. Dean and Sam leave the room.
I don't think this is right to keep Jack locked up like a wild animal. I can hear Jack's voice calling for Dean and Sam.
"Nadia?" Jack says my name. "Are you sure this is a good idea?" I asked.
Sam and Dean don't listen to my question as we head to the kitchen. Dean opened a bottle of scotch, pouring it in three glasses.
"Are you sure that this is a good idea? I don't think it is," I said. "It's a good idea. We have to lock him in there to prevent him from snapping," Dean said. "If I had no soul and I caused an accident by hurting people, would you put me in there?" I asked.
"We know you'd never turn bad even though you have killed pedophiles, rapists, abusers and traffickers," Dean said.
"Doesn't feel right," I said, chugging mine scotch down. "So what do we do now? Just keep Jack locked in there forever?" Sam asked.
"We have too," Dean said. "I don't know if I can do that," Sam said.
"Well, I'll tell you what. This stuff that Ketch left, is not that bad," Dean said, drinking his. "You know, I never thought it would end like this with Jack," Sam said.
"Sammy, we knew from the beginning. It was a long shot with him," Dean said. "Yeah but long shots are kind of our thing," Sam said.
"Well, you guys let me join you guys to do good things and I'm a long shot," I said. "Nadia, you are not a long shot. You are good because you have a soul and you can control yourself," Dean said.
I sighed softly. "Guys, there's something to say. I saw it happening before you two prayed for Jack to come back," I said.
I can hear Cas's thoughts as he comes to the kitchen. "What do you mean?" Sam asked.
"Castiel, tell them for me since they won't listen to me," I said. "Sam, Dean. Nadia told me to go to Heaven because she saw something about Dumah and Nadia was right," Cas said.
"What do you mean, Cas?" Dean asked. "Did my vision come true?" I asked.
"Yes. Dumah was manipulating Jack into doing those things. She told him it would please you," Cas said. "So now it's our fault?" Dean asked.
"I'm saying it's urgent that we find him and tell him," Cas said. I closed my eyes.
"Damn! I tried to tell you it's not a good idea," I said, sighing angrily. "What's not a good idea?" Cas asked.
"He's safe. In the Ma'lak box and he's gonna stay there," Dean said. "No! You didn't," Cas said.
"I tried to tell them it's not a good idea," I said, getting up. "Nadia, where are you going?" Dean asked.
"To let Jack out. It doesn't feel right. You two were manipulating him like Dumah," I said, walking away. I headed to room 5B.
I start feeling a tremor, the alarm blaring. I moved away from the door as it burst open, getting down to cover.
I coughed. "Nadia, you okay?" Cas asked, helping me up.
I nodded, getting up. We headed inside the room, seeing the mess.
"What happened?" Dean asked. "I told you this was a bad idea! Next time, listen to me!" I yelled.
I see Jack's eyes lighting up, seeing Jack coming through the smoke. "Oh no..." "Jack?" Sam asked as Jack stood there.
