Hello my lovable psychopaths and genius rouges before the chapter starts I'm giving a warning that this arc will contain a lot of dark themes to it I'll try and keep it at as light hearted as I can but I can't make any promises other then that enjoy!

*it has been over two weeks since the teams battle against team sin and everyone was currently just relaxing in the living room*

Alfred:*playing darts with gembuddy and currently winning*hell yeah!
Gembuddy:*grumbles*
Cassee:*reading a book on the couch*
Antimorta:*taking a nap against the balcony window*zzzzzzz
Cooley:*appears to be teaching her kids their times tables*'lright 'ow wha's seventa six times twelv'?
Rouch: uhhhhhhh four?*got bonked with a rolled up newspaper*ow
Cooley: 'rong sena?
Sena: 'ine hundred and twelv'!
Cooley: atta girl*rubbed senas head messing up her daughters hair a little*

Seven:*bored out of her mind as she looked out the window*ugh when are we gonna see some action I mean we're mercenaries now we gotta get some sorta job right!
Alfred: oi they don't come out the woodwork besides I like the down time beats having to see that tiny what's his name
Egg: the names egg
Alfred: right th-*jumped back along with gembuddy as he was randomly on a lamp stand*oh bloody hell!!!!!

Cooley: will ye qui' doin tha ya tinya nihtmare spawn!
Egg: nope*pulls out a cup of god knows what and takes a sip from it and turns to the four wall*don't ask what's in the cup you'll go insane trying to find out*turned turned back to everyone else*congrats team gamble you have your first mission!

Cassee:*hiding behind her book*team gamble?
Egg: well that is your team name every mercenary team here has one
Gembuddy: yeah those guys from two weeks ago called themselves team sin didn't they
Alfred: think so?
Egg: yup your team name is team gamble but back onto point you all have your first mission!

Seven: about time we got one so what we doing assassinations,protecting a politician,going undercover!
Egg: going to a lab!
Seven:............
Egg: let me finish your going to a lab under the suspension of conducting illegal human helix experimentation now we don't have much to go off of but we know for a fact there's something going on due to a leaked video from a tour from last week

Antimorta:*yawns as he wakes up and looks at egg*oh when the egg man get here?
Egg:*roll his eyes and turned the tv on*just watch the video*presses a button on the remote next to him as a amateur video was being shown as a tour group was walking down the doors to a lab were suddenly blown off as a guy who looked to be in their late teens had swirling masses of what seemed to be ice behind him and said to the camera "no more no more!!!!!!" And that's were the video cut*

Alfred: well blood damn
Egg; and because of this incident they haven't been giving anymore tours and have denied any press from entering the facility we got a permit for a private "safety" tour in reality though once you six enter there your job is to see what's really going on and if possible get enough proof so they can be shut down

Gembuddy: and what if we get captured or something because I've seen how these go down and more then likely we will be captured
Egg: if that happens try and get out in any means necessary but no killing the people there so get ready you all leave in one hour!*opened gembuddy like a door and exited through him before closing it*
Gembuddy: I feel violated........

Alfred: feel violated later we gotta get ready for a mission!
*everyone pumped their arms in the air with excitement except for gembuddy for obvious reasons with Cooley giving a less enthusiastic version*

*one hour later everyone arrived to the hanger they were told to go to dressed ready for a fight if needed seven and gembuddy clearly excited about finally getting to see some action*
Cooley: well ye two seem 'cited now don' cha?
Seven: hey it's our first mission as mercenaries this is our chance to prove ourselves!
Gembuddy: and ya heard what the talking breakfast item said we get bonuses if we take on missions!

*suddenly egg was next to them*
Egg: I said for high risk missions
Team gamble: AH!
Egg: oh please you should be used to this by now
Alfred: can we just get this over with where's the bloody thing we're supposed to get on*looked around the hanger for some sorta plane or aircraft*

Egg: well before that arrives you all take these*threw pocket watches at them and as they all caught them with antimorta getting hit in the head by his*im sure you all know what those are by this point but allow me to explain those are pocket watches a small device that acts like the star crews primary communication device this doesn't mean you have to get rid of your phones though but they have a nifty little feature

Antimorta: and what might that be egg man?*rubs his head as he looked at his*
Egg:*pressed down on his closed pocket watch's star emblem and it opened to show a portal in it*the primary feature of the pocket watch is it has a personal pocket dimension to it it can store practically anything so I recommend you all store backup weapons food water any sorta supplies you may need in there it could save your life

Gembuddy: zeheheheheh this is gonna be fun!
Alfred: but back on topic where's our transport-*egg snapped and a massive portal opened beneath them*NOT FUCKING AGAIN!
Egg: have fun don't die!
Team gamble: AHHHH!*as they fell through the portal they soon landed outside of some sorta lab groaning in pain from their landing*

Seven: I swear he just does that to mess with us......
Cooley: aye da little feck's 'ore annoyin then anyboody I've ever met.......
Gembuddy: you all mind getting off me!
*everyone got up and stretched their bodies they saw what appeared to be a scientist walked up to them*
???: uhhhhh excuse me are you the star crew?

Seven: yeah who's asking?*rolling her shoulders as she looked at them*
Gus: my name is Gus I'm one of the scientists here we were told people from the star crew would be taking a tour of our facility today*he had combed brown hair and was wearing a heavy looking lab coat he was wearing a plain yellow button up and work pants*

Antimorta: nice to meet ya Gus the main skulls name is antimorta!
Gembuddy: names gembuddy
Alfred: Alfred luxline
Seven: seven luckbile
Cassee: cassee
Cooley: 'eople jus call ma Cooley
Gus: wonderful so shall we get on with the tour then?
Alfred:*he and the rest of the team gave subtle glances at one another*sounds fine with us

*as they followed gus into the building for the most part it seemed to be a normal lab*
Alfred: so what do you do here exactly we got sent here because of that video about a tour from here last week
Gus: oh I can assure you that we're not doing anything illegal or anything against the law either we're a lab trying to develop medical care for people with helix's that are more harm then good to a persons body

*this caused Cooley and gembuddy to look at each other*
Gembuddy: you know helixes only appear when a persons under extreme stress or life or death situations right?
Gus: correct but sometimes helix's can become to overdeveloped before the persons body has adjusted to it hence why we're researching ways to help people with such cases

Cooley: first time I'm 'earing of this*gave Gus a look of suspicion*
Gus: well I'm not surprised these cases are very rare and when they do appear there's no pattern as to why if I may ask I'm guessing you have a telepathy helix since I haven't seen you move your lips once since we've met

Cooley: yea tha's ma helix*team gamble knew this was a lie but they could see gus didn't know this*
Alfred: yeah she lost her vocal cords and her helix manifested as telepathy
Gus: I'm so sorry that happened to you miss Cooley
Antimorta: then mind explaining to the main skull and his buddies what that video was about last week then science man?
Gus: well you see we have two people with the cases I've described to you here that poor young man almost died during a blizzard and he gained what I believe you people call a ^double helix a elemental and manipulation helix I believe are the correct terms

^a double helix is helix that takes on two of the four helix types or two different helix's working together as one Alfred and Drake are examples of a double helix

Alfred: makes sense I've got a double helix and took awhile for me to get the hang of it but that guy seemed like he was being tortured from the way he sounded*gave a subtle glare to gus who looked like he froze for a split second but regained his composure almost immediately*
Gus: well for the most part he was in a coma when he arrived but he suddenly woke up when we were giving treatment and he tried to run away he must have still been delirious from his prior experience of the blizzard

Seven: well we're gonna have to see that area to since this is a safety tour y-*then they heard gus's phone ring*
Gus: sorry I have to take this*he walked away far enough so they couldn't hear him*
Alfred:*whispered to everyone*ok something is definitely up helix's don't just "overdevelop"

Cassee: as the only person here without a helix I don't understand what they mean very well
Gembuddy; let me put it like this when someone gets a helix they just don't "overdevelop" their just uncontrollable at first the only way something like their describing is if some outside force is causing it
Cassee: and your saying they may be this outside force
Gembuddy: bingo

Antimorta: the main skull says we get the answers we want out of these science men and women with good ol punchin
Alfred: no we do that we blow our cover we lay low and play along besides when they slip up we take full advantage of it sound good
Antimorta:*mumbles*fine

Gus:*came back over seeming incredibly nervous for some reason*I hope I haven't keep you waiting to long let's continue the tour*as they made their way through the lab they began to see a lot more security guards*
Cooley: lot of securityy ye go' 'ere
Gus: the site director is a rather paranoid man he hired  more security guards than we really needed*wiped some sweat off his forehead*
Cassee: are you feeling ok you aren't looking to hot?
Gus: I'm fine just a bit overworked is all*mutters to himself*and soon you'll be gone

*while Gus and the security guards weren't looking seven and gembuddy wandered off to where the video was taken*
Seven: thought something was off he was taking us somewhere else
Gembuddy: well it's about time we bag us a baddy then*smirked as he and seven took down two security guards positioned at the door*well this is the place shall we
Seven: eh whatever you are first
Gembuddy: I'm a gremlin.....*grumbles as he opens to the door to reveal two covered medical tables*hm?
Seven: oh that's not a good sign now is it......

*they went over to the tables and when they took the covers off they both gained looks of shock and disgust as it revealed two corpses both horribly disfigurement one of them the man from the video half his body was frozen completely solid and his skin was so pale they could see his veins the other was of a girl she barely looked older then 15 and most of her body resembled that of charcoal with dried blood around her mouth*

Seven:*covered her mouth*sweet mother of the gods......
Gembuddy: we've gotta get back to the others........
*then a speaker turned on and a mysterious voice came through it*
???: I don't think so
*then both the corpses seemed to stand up and looked at seven and gembuddy as the doors slammed and locked shut*
Gembuddy and seven: ah shit

*back with the rest of team gamble and gus they were in a open area with the sky overhead and Gus suddenly stopped*
Alfred: something wrong?
Gus: yes somethings very wrong
Antimorta: what's the problem science man and the main skull can help ya fix it
Gus:*walked forward til he was on a platform of some kind*the problem is you

Cooley:*looked down to see the floor started to jet open*SHITE!
*they all fell through into separate rooms and in them were doors and they could all hear......crying?*
Gus; initiate experiment-7462 star crew mercenaries vs bio helix weapons*pressed a button and the doors began to open slowly*

Team gamble: ah shit......
