If you are planning a same sex relationship in your story, good for you. But there are somethings you need to remember about writing these types of relationships.

1. Not EVERYONE is going to be so accepting of your relationship, in the 80's gay marriage wasn't even allowed, heck even in 2017 some people still aren't accepting of it, so don't expect everyone to be fine with your relationship.

2. Now if you plan to place an OC with Mike or any other african american in the It movie, or if your OC is african american and you pair them with a caucasian not everyone is going to like it, again interracial marriage wasn't legal until in all U.S states until 1967, it's sad but the truth so not everyone's gonna be accepting.

and remember some people can be welcoming but some won't
