Watching It I noticed something, Mike Halon is actully ... black, like african american. mind blown. Does Mike say "nigga" 24/7 NO, HE DOES NOT

I'll give you some tips on how to write characters of color, because yall been struggling recently

1. Try your best to not use stereotypes, not every black person says 'nigga' 24/7, steals, and has a real ghetto name like Daquan or some weird stuff like that.

2. Black people don't always complain about equal rights, I know it's a real issue but if it's all your character talks about then... you need a better OC. 

3. In the 80's racism was... a thing ( no way, omg )  So your OC's life isn't gonna be all rainbows and sunshine, they're gonna have to deal with some rasim SOMEWHERE in the story, SOMEWHERE. 

4. Not every black kid has a HORRIBLE background

etc; Dwayne had a hard life, both of his parents died in a car crash, he almost went to jail, he got beat up for being "queer" and he was an orphan for all of his life 

Some black kids have NORMAL life's, other than the fact that there's a clown named Pennywise who likes to eat kids and their trying to kill him BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!
