"Don't tell them anything, Jungkook." Jin had whispered to him at last, before the boy was taken into the interrogation room. "Fuck." He turned to the others behind him, standing helpless at the entrance of the police station. Pointing a finger at them, especially Lola, "Stay calm. I'm gonna call my lawyer." and we t back outside.

Her eye had started to twitch. Lola gulped. Her fingernails seemed to be digging in the back of her neck harder than she realized. Namjoon was beside her to offer held, a gentle hand around her wrist. "He gon' be fine." He whispered.

Lola didn't have the time to even give him a smile, before Destiny and Giselle swarmed her. "Lols, it's gonna be okay!" Giselle reassured her. "Hear what Jin said? He's gonna bring a lawyer."

"Exactly." Destiny snapped her fingers. "He ain't even kill that girl, he gon' be fine."

"What if now they start questioning him, though?" Lola suggested, making the others circle around her with wide eyes. "Like, what if, now that Jungkook's a suspect on this case, he's a suspect on all of them? Or what if this is another one of my brother's games? What if they finally decide to give the video to the police- I'm so fucking stupid! It's all my fault-"

"It's not." Namjoon shook his head.

The others did the same. Yoongi tried cooing her with his hand on her back. "It isn't anyone's fault."

"Yeah." Jimin nodded. "This is gonna be over, trust us. I know Jin hyung's lawyer, met him a couple times before. He's the best in his field."

Speaking of it, Jin came back smiling through the door. "Alright." He said, while shoving his phone in his back pocket. "Kingsley's on his way. He's just checking the bar's security footage of that night. Everything's under control."

"Jungkook's gonna be fine, right?" Lola stepped forward, holding Jin's arms tightly. "Because I swear, if they lock him up I'm confessing too-"

"Shh!" Jin sushed her, a wave of panic crashing into all of them. They circled Lola in hopes none of the cops around heard. "If you keep quiet, everything will be fine! I just hope he doesn't say anything stupid while he's in there, and blow our cover."

"Yeah, I killed her." Jungkook told the interrogator. The same one from Halloween.

He stood perplexed. His thumbs, that were nestled behind his belt, coming undone the same way his sterness did. "I'm sorry?"

"That was a joke..." Jungkook told him.

The interrogator nudged a finger at him. "You're aware everything you say can be used against you, right? This isn't a funny little game."

"Why y'all accin' like a buncha clowns, then?" Jungkook laughed in his face, his pearly whites on display.

Jaw clenched, "Watch your mouth or-"

"Or what?"

Interruptions seem to be the room's forte. The door opened close after a triple knock, revealing a face Jungkook wasn't so excited to see... Hernando Gonzales. He scoffed and brushed his cuffed hands through his hair.

"I'll take it from here."

"But Officer-"

The interrogator's pleas were cut short, once again. He rolled his eyes, though did so without showing Hernando. It was always the same. Officer Gonzales walking in right when it was most convenient, and taking over the job. Frustrated, the interrogator left with a sigh, shutting the door harder than needed.

It was Jungkook and him alone. Hernando took a seat opposite the tattooed boy, his elbows on the table. "You're here again."

"You too." Jungkook shook his head in disbelief. "You always come in here like this? Ain't you 'posed to be outside, shootin' innocent people instead of locking up actual criminals...?"

Hernando let out a deep and throaty laugh. "Woah, woah, woah!" He raised his hands, eyes shut in irritating giggles. Under the flickering ceiling light, he cleared his throat. "Seems like you got a personal problem with the police."

"You don't?" Jungkook scoffed. "Ion know why y'all keepin' me here. I didn't kill that girl. Ion even know who she is."

"That's what we're trying to figure out, too." Hernando nodded, eyes squinted suspiciously. "Isn't it weird it's the second time you ended up here? The second time you're somehow at the crime scene...?"

"Watchu tryna say?"

Hernando leaned in, as much as the table allowed, and placed his hands on the surface. A chill ran down their spines, though not for the same reason. Jungkook felt the cold pierce his skin, setting goosebumps all over. Hernando, on the other hand, felt his gaze pierce through his soul. Jungkook looked at him in a way no one dared to look. With fury. Like death was written behind it. "I'm not trying to say anything, Jeon Jungkook. I'm asking you... Why were you at the crime scene, again?"

"Can't hang out anymore?"

"You're nineteen..." Hernando reminded.

Jungkook shrugged, a certain smirk on his face. "Wasn't drinking."

"Doesn't matter." Hernando countered. He sighed. A deep breath, Jungkook wasn't going to be easy. "Listen kid, I just wanna know what you were doing there. Some people who were there that night said you left your car there."

It was true. Him and Namjoon were far too drunk, and far too angry to drive. Lola had to drive them back in Namjoon's car. She had scolded them the entire way back, and it hadn't once crossed their minds that Jungkook's Benz was still parked in the shadow of the trees.

"That don't mean I killed her...?" Jungkook argued.

Nodding, "It doesn't." Hernando hummed. "But it does make you wonder, doesn't it? Why your car alone?"

Jungkook didn't want to say it. Giving Lola and Namjoon's names might put them in danger too. He threw his head back and groaned deeply. It was clear, Hernando had a personal vendetta against them. Or at least that's what it looked like. Maybe he was aware of everything. Of what his son was doing. Maybe he was in on it, even. Maybe it was him killing all those people, and not Carlos or Penelope.

Hernando pressed his lips into a thin line, but before he could peel them back open to talk again- "Officer Gonzales?" a cop opened the door, calling for him.

Jungkook had been left alone, once again, to tap his foot on the naked floor, and chew around his lip ring.

"My name's Kingsley Brown." Kingsley held out his hand for Hernando. "I'm here for Jeon Jungkook. He would be my client." Behind him stood Jin, and the others. All wearing wide grins. Hernando seemed to be intimidated by Kingsley.

"Officer Gonzales." Hernando introduced himself. He glared at Jin every now and then, scoffing, though his eyes were glued on the tall lawyer in front of him.

Kingsley smiled, nodding. "I'll cut to the chase." He said. "After checking the camera footage from that night, I can confirm Jungkook left the bar exactly forty-five minutes before the murder took place."

"But-"

"According the law," Kingsley began again, cutting Hernando off. "there must be solid evidence, or a probable cause to make an arrest, which you do not have." His authority over the situation made Hernando melt into a pathetic puddle of shame. "If you don't let my client go this very second, I will have to take legal action for police misconduct."

He was a stuttering mess. The eyes of Jin and the others towering over him. They enjoying seeing him huff and puff. "He's still a nineteen year old attending bars-"

"I'm afraid I have already talked to the authorities about it. I'll take it from here on out." Kingsley nodded and snapped his fingers. "Please let my client go." And left without leaving room for another stutter.

Giggling, "In yo face!" Taehyung pushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek, nudging his chin at Hernando to tease him further, before Giselle dragged him along with the rest, following Kingsley.

Not long after, the group embraced Jungkook. He had been uncuffed, arms wrapped around Lola immediately. She shivered within his touch. "I was so scared." She sniffled. "Thought this was the end."

"What I tell you?" Jungkook laughed, planting a kiss on her temple. "Ain't lettin' nothing happen to us, yeah?"

"Yeah." Lola held his face in her hands, caressing his cheeks before latching her lips on his. She smiled into it, whispering small 'I love you's' into his mouth.

Kingsley approached the group, folders in his arm. "You didn't tell them anything, did you?" He asked Jungkook.

Throwing his arm around Lola, Jungkook looked over at Jin through the corner of his eye, hesitant. Jin gave him a signaling nod, reassuring that Kingsley was aware of everything... Everything.

"Didn't say shit." He finally confirmed.

Nodding, "Good." Kingsley gave him a pat on the back. "You guys go outside, I'll come later. Paperwork."

The group did as they were told. Leaving the police station, and waiting outside its door. Clouds of smoke blew out of their mouths. They were on the verge of dread. All of them were scared in their own ways.

"That was close..." Hoseok sighed. "I don't think I can take this anymore."

"You're gonna have to." Jin told him, then turned to all of them. "All of us. We need to bite through it, if we wanna do this right. Understood?"

They gave him a collective nod, though, something tugged at the silence. It was Taehyung. He cleared his throat, "Hyung...?" licking his lips. "They said someone filed the report..."

It was exactly what had been bothering them.

Someone...

"I hate to say this-" Jin began, pulling them in a hurdle, before nodding. "I think we all know who it was..."
