My Cousin's Wedding

Alex's POV
—————-
After being together for almost seven years, my cousin Jasey was getting married to her girlfriend Holly.
Everyone in the family was here, ranging from racist uncle Jeffery and emotional aunt Alice to mute cousin Kaeden and awkward cousin Nicole. They were all off bothering the newlyweds, while I was standing in the corner next the exit with my little cousin.
"Lexi!" Six year old Sydney spoke quickly and in a very excited tone, "Where's your girlfriend?" She asked, a huge, slightly toothless smile across her face.
I chuckled lightly and scooped her up in my arms, "Syd, you know I don't like girls! They're yucky, like you." I joked.
She looked at me, like she was slightly offended, but then laughed. I placed her down and ruffled her hair gently and she ran off to her brother Greyson, who was running around outside with Kaeden and Nicole.
I stood in that corner for a few minutes, watching everyone, such as couples making out or taking multiple shots with family members. I recognized every face, except for one, who was standing by the buffet table.
He had dark brown hair with a blonde/almost white kind of stripe in his spiked up hair with dark brown eyes. His skin was slightly tanned but not a dark kind of tan. What baffled me was that he wasn't dressed up for the occasion at all, just wearing a plain red t-shirt and tight black jeans. He was tall and fairly skinny, and from where I was, he was fucking hot as all hell.
I watched him from afar for a good few minutes, before he noticed me and waved. When I noticed that he saw that I was staring, I almost panicked, but waved back to be friendly.
'Maybe I should go say hello?' I thought, beginning to walk over to the buffet table. He ate all the food stacked up on his plate, which was basically towering up on the dish, about to fall over.
"Hey, I'm Jack, how are you?" He asked as I stood on the other side of the table.
I shrugged, "I'm Alex, I'm pretty good, how 'bout you?" I asked him. I was still skeptical over why he was here, as I've never seen him before, but I would ask him about it in a few minutes.
"It's great that those two got married, marriage is a beautiful thing." He muttered through a mouthful of food, motioning over to Jasey and Holly over by the bar. They were locking arms and taking shots together, laughing together.
I nodded and took a plate, putting a small piece of cake on it. "So, what's your relation to either of the brides?" I questioned him.
He basically froze up, looking straight ahead, "Uh...." He muttered, "...I'm her cousin?" He said as if it was a question.
"That is some fucking bullshit, I've never seen or heard of you before." I told him.
He looked down, "Okay, I've never met the two before, I just came for the free food." He laughed.
I rolled my eyes, "Fuckin' knew it." He chuckled warmly and continued to eat the pile of food on his platter slowly, watching the bar.
He muttered, "I could totally go for a drink right now, but I'd look like a loser if I drink alon-" He spun around on his heels and pointed at me, "Come drink with me."
I furrowed my brow, "Uh..?" I laughed and he placed his plate on the buffet table. He took my arm and led my to the bar and we both got onto bar stools.
"Bar tender, two red headed sluts." He said calmly, while I just looked confused.
"I don't think you can get two sluts at the bar from the bartender.....you'd have to look around. And not many people in my family are red headed, which you'd know if you were actually related to us." I replied.
He laughed so hard that he was completely red and looked like he was about to cry, "No, fucktard, that's the name of the drink!"
God, I'm a fucking idiot.
——-
About forty-five minutes into taking shots, we were so drunk that Jack needed help walking to the bathroom, and I couldn't stand properly to help him. We had to get one of the bar tenders to help us.
"H-Hey..." He slurred, gripping my torso and pulling me off the bar stool. I stumbled forward and he weakly held me up, my face at the same level as his chest. He gripped my face, squishing my cheeks and giggling. "Squish, squish." He whispered.
I quickly scrambled to stand up, stumbling over myself slightly before sliding back onto my stool. I did a quick 360 degree spin before facing the bar.
"Barteeeender." I stretched out the e, "Can we- can we get a couple of Alabamaaaa s-slammers, pleeeease" I giggled.
"Don't you guys think you've had enough?" The bartender, Tony, asked as he cleaned out a glass with a rag. I shook my head and he sighed, placing the empty glass on the counter.
He made the shots and slid them on the counter towards us. Jack lifted his up and locked our arms together weakly, muttered out a quick, "to the newlyweds," and we took our shots.
He basically slammed the shot glass on the counter so hard I thought it was gonna break, then spun around to face me on the stool, "You knoooow what would be greaaaat." He asked, face still adjusting to the taste of Amaretto, and began to spin around in his chair.
I giggled at his antics and began to do that same, "What would be greaaaat?"
"If yooooou would go on a daaaate with meeeee." He giggled as the words left his mouth.
I stopped spinning abruptly and almost stumbled forward, snickered slightly to myself and sat up, looking around as if I were confused. "Yeaaah, sure, I'm gonna go on a date with yooooou." I jabbed his chest when I said you and giggled.
He gasped at my poke and began to poke me back, before turning back to the bar, "Get-get us some Kami-Kamikaze's pleeease."
Tony sighed and made us the drinks relatively quickly. Jack picked his up and locked our arms together again, with more strength than before.
He hiccuped lightly before basically yelling, "To-to us!" and downing our shots.
