[Naval Station Pearl Harbor] - VADM Joseph Radford's POV: Admiral's office: Dec 5 1330 hours

(A/N: Vice Admiral Joseph Radford is the CO of the USN Ship girl fleet based in Pearl with other stations like NS Midway island acting as a FOB and Everett Washington, and San Diego, Norfolk and a few others being the bases for American ship girls that they've summoned ever since the U.S started its own program alongside the Japanese) 

VADM Radford: Well this week went swell the 7th fleet just reported that they lost 2 guided missile destroyers in a battle near Yokosuka with a third crippled and the two JMSDF destroyers forced to disengage with reports that modern weapons are ineffective against, Abyssal forces its been a while when Japan reported, young women started to appear through a summoning gateway in Japan which they claimed they are ships of the former Imperial Japanese Navy, with that news the US Navy went with our own program and have successfully recalled most of the warships of the Pacific fleet with the exceptions of the surviving second world war ships like North Carolina, Alabama and Massachusetts, and Iowa and her sisters, the USS Texas BB-35 for battleships while for carriers the remaining Essex class hasn't yet shown up but the current summoned Essex class fleet carriers are half already and Midway and a few others for carriers while for the submarines and destroyers they but all have returned except the two remaining Forest Sherman class destroyers preserved. he thought as he reads a report from 7th fleet

As the Admiral was reading the report his new XO for the administration staff Captain Evelyn, Shirley. Smith walked in with a fresh batch of paperwork and more reports for the admiral to handle given that the ship girls and the abyssals remained top secret from the public until recently when someone in the Japanese public got a glimpse of the ship girls or Kanmusu as they call it over there during a battle thus making the JMSDF declassifying the ship girls and the abyssal threat which surfaced a year ago with most of the old Naval powers picking up the tab  with the British and Germans just started theirs last month with the French and Italians is still trying to debate over the subject while the Russians are eerily quiet.

Capt Smith: Good day admiral! she greeted

(A/N: This is the Admiral's new XO Captain Evelyn, Shirley. Smith her appearance is that of a 25 year old she has dark blue eyes and she has somewhat blonde short hair)

VADM Radford: Good day Captain, please be seated. he said as he sets down the report he was reading

Capt Smith: Thank you sir. she replied

VADM Radford: So captain i have read your file already but can you tell me some of your self first? he asked

Capt Smith: Of course sir, as you know my name is Captain Evelyn Smith I am a Annapolis Graduate, served on the Nimitz a couple years as a Officer, as of current reassigned as your XO sir on the American Ship girl program. she said

 VADM Radford: Tell me captain where are you from again?

Capt Smith: Oh sir i'm from Portsmouth Virginia, me and my family lived near Norfolk Naval Base since my dad used to work there before he retired, I was born in 24th September 2001 is that enough as an answer to you sir?

VADM Radford: Yeah another thing though why did you join the navy in the first place? Sorry if I asked.

Capt Smith: Well sir I've always been an Awe with the Navy and the fact of me being attracted to the sea also adds to that during my college and high school years i was very active when it came to any water sports or activities. she explained

VADM Radford: Fantastic thank you captain, have you met any of the girls on base?

Capt Smith: I've met a couple mostly are destroyers but i did meet Enterprise yesterday.

VADM Radford: Is that so what do you think of the legendary Grey Ghost and the most decorated ship in the U.S Navy?

Capt Smith: Well sir she is something, she has that sisterly figure when i met her yesterday. she chuckled

VADM Radford: Well then i'm glad you made yourself some new friends on base.

Capt Smith: Thank you sir.

As the Captain stood up and shook hands with the Admiral he couldn't ignore the fact that the Captain has a nice birthmark on her arm

VADM Radford: That's a nice birthmark your sporting there captain. he smiled

Capt Smith: Well sir it just happens I have that there. she laughed

VADM Radford: Verry well then Captain your dismissed.

Capt Smith: Thank you sir. she said as she leaves the office

VADM Radford: Well isn't she something. he mused

???: Indeed sir but I saw something from her! she said

A sudden voice coming out of the shadows of the office

VADM Radford: Albie were you listening while me and the captain are conversing?

Albacore: Yes sir, sorry for eavesdropping though. she said while she smiled sheepishly

VADM Radford: Its fine Albie, i thought you should be with Gato and your sisters doing recon?

Albacore: Well sir we got back rather early from recon.

VADM Radford: Well what did you find on the recon mission?

Albacore: Nothing much sir the abyssals on our sector for the most part is quiet although we intercepted a small abyssal fleet.

VADM Radford: Composition?

Albacore: two Light cruisers, one Escort Carrier, and four Destroyers of different types sir!

VADM Radford: Did you sink any?

Albacore: Gato and the others got the Escort Carrier and 2 Destroyers while the two Light cruisers are sunk by me and Nautilus and Bowfin. 

VADM Radford: Good to hear that, now what was that again that you saw with the captain?

Albacore: Well sir I don't know your gonna like it to hear it..... she trailed off

VADM Radford: For goodness sake spill it Albacore!

Albacore: Sir you heard the report from the 7th fleet right? she asked

VADM Radford: Yeah what about that?

Albacore: Well sir did you heard they have three new American ship girls with them?

VADM Radford: Now that's new, no I didn't heard that before, wait let me check the report from the 7th fleet.

Albacore: Go ahead sir.

A couple moments later of shuffling around the reports from 7th Fleet from Japan

VADM Radford: Well I guess your right they actually have three American ship girls with them but the 7th Fleet didn't yet specified on who they got there and how the heck three American ship girls just popped out of no where while not being summoned. he said

Albacore: Exactly sir according to my fellow submarines from Japan the Jap Sub's told me on who the three are sir.

VADM Radford: Well then who are they?

Albacore: USS Barry DDG-52, and USS Mustin DDG-89 both are Arleigh Burke class destroyers sir.

VADM Radford: Now that's interesting modern American ship girls since all we have are ships from the second world war, although i am not complaining they would be a lot of help now who's the third one?

Albacore: Well sir you know we can't summon any ships that are modern, decommissioned as of late or still being in the process of scrapping or as Museums with a few exceptions right?

VADM Radford: Yes, go on.

Albacore: The third one is sir is the USS Iowa BB-61. she said plainly

VADM Radford: Now that's good news we now have one of the Iowa's on board, but what is this gonna do with Captain Smith?

Albacore: Well sir us ship girls as you call it can see a difference between normal humans and ship girls.

VADM Radford: And?

Albacore: Well sir if you are aware Iowa used to be a normal human.

VADM Radford: Alright what's her name then?

Albacore: Lieutenant Irene Anderson sir, she was the XO of the Barry.

VADM Radford: So your telling me she's a human that became a ship girl?

Albacore: Precisely sir, there are some instances of us being a natural born ship girl.

VADM Radford: And how did you know this?

Albacore: Simple sir when a ship is decommissioned their spirits are taken to the other side of the summoning gateway, they have a choice to loiter there and earn their rest while some others are given the chance to try at least live a normal life as natural born's, but they are heavily infatuated to any water related activities or the sea itself with their nature as a ship still there and I've done some research Irene was born in 27 of August which was the launching day of the Iowa as well. she explained

VADM Radford: Alright so your saying that the captain is a ship girl as well but haven't yet awaken or she has yet to realize that?

Albacore: That and the fact she told you her reasons of joining the canoe club, and we ship girls get to see if a ship girl has awaken or not, with their former hull being a somewhat shadow behind them.

VADM Radford: So your telling me is,  that Captain is a ship girl as well but which one?

 Albacore: I don't know sir i am not an expert with modern ships but i can at least say she's a carrier and big one too. she chuckled

Timeskip 2 days later

[Oahu Hawaii] - Sunday Dec 7: 0755 hours: Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam

At JBPHH the old Hickam field where now Pacific Air Force command resides is the base's radar station a powerful Air Search Radar able to detect any aircraft (Except maybe stealth aircraft) was four operators finishing their night shift and was about to go off duty and are about to switch the position with the daytime operators

The Operators was about to leave when suddenly one of their radars made a pinging noise as per protocol ever since the appearances of Abyssals they must check if the surface contact is friendly or foe if its friendly then stand down and stand easy if its foe or hostile forces current military protocol indicates to immediately alarm the public and appropriate forces to react to the threat 

Operator 1: Hey guys i got a large haze coming in from the northeast! he reported 

Operator 3: That's strange we have no aircraft sorties right now, nor we are expecting any inbound flights from anywhere.

Operator 2: Shit this is bad any contact with them?

Operator 1: Negative! Nothing!

Operator 3: Sir other Radar sites are saying they also detect the contacts!

Operator 2: SIr what should we do?

Operator 4: This might be an attack better be safe and sorry i'm informing Civil Defense to alert civilians, Boggs Sound the Alarm! he ordered

Boggs: Yes sir!

[Naval Station Pearl Harbor]

It was a quiet Sunday most of the ship girls are asleep except for those who are early risers to do some exercise and this was notable to Captain Evelyn Smith, she always look after herself so keeping a good figure and a healthy body, so as she runs around the base to keep up her daily routine, as she was finishing her run she ran into the little Destroyer Ward the girl was known to be an early riser as she kept pestering the boys down at the launching chamber that the abyssals might be inclined to repeat what the Japanese did back in 41 so she now have early access to the launching chamber as appeasement from the launching team

With the said girl just returning from a early morning sortie or one of her own patrols, as she exits the launching chambers

Capt Smith: Hello Ward your early today any news? she asked

Ward: Morning Captain, yep sunk an abyssal sub, found it trying to enter the harbor. the Wickes class destroyer said cheerfully

Capt Smith: Well glad to hear that your still good at defense.

Ward: Your kidding right, i was the first American warship that fired the first American shot back in 41 and the first ship to claim a kill during the war. she boasted

Capt Smith: Ain't that something right Ward? Hey can you..- before she finishes her sentence the base's air raid siren started to blare loudly informing everyone that there was an impending attack

As the air raid siren wailed with Ward immediately sprinting back to the launching chamber and was followed by every American ship girl that was quick enough to get their butts off their beds and into Battle, with the captain heading to her station still in her workout clothes

As she arrives in the command portion of the ship girl base there she found Vice Admiral Radford shouting orders to one of her aids and issuing commands and coordinating the defense, with Radford noticing Evelyn 

VADM Radford: Ah Captain just in time.

Capt Smith: What do you need sir?

VADM Radford: I need you to go the waterfront and command CruDiv-6! he ordered

Capt Smith: Who's in the division sir?

VADM Radford: You have Astoria, Minneapolis, New Orleans, and Frisco. Now get to it captain coordinate with the others make sure to defend the base! he ordered

Capt Smith: Aye Aye sir!

[Naval Station Pearl Harbor] -Captain Evelyn Smith POV: On shore command post: 0810 hours

Soon arriving at the waterfront still adorning her workout clothes running to one of the nearby on shore command  post she immediately wore a earpiece that lets her to communicate with the deployed girls

Capt Smith: Alright is this the correct channel?

New Orleans: Right on Captain!

Capt Smith: Can you girls hear me correctly?

Astoria: 5 by 5 capt!

Frisco: Hey capt we need some help here to defend the harbor!

Capt Smith: On it, what's our opposition?

Minneapolis: Planes Capt, lots of abyssal planes!

Frisco: The CarDivs and a few Desrons and CruDiv 4 and 5, are currently deployed with Washington and South Dakota and Indiana to hunt down the carriers! she reported

New Orleans: The carriers we have here are escort and light carriers but their planes are running low on Ammunition and their heavily focused on AA defense! she added as the fire of her 20mm oerlikons are heard from the back

Capt Smith: Damn it, i hope i could be any of use to you girls right this situation is very dire.

New Orleans: Its alright capt!

Frisco: Yeah just do the commanding from a safe distance and that'll be plenty of help plus you dying is not gonna help either.

Capt Smith: NO! she bellowed in the radio

Astoria: Jeez captain calm the fuck down. she said as she fires her 5 inch dual purpose guns at the Abyssal planes

Minneapolis: Yeah that was not necessary captain. she said as she fires her 40mm bofors creating more AA fire

Capt Smith: What the hell you mean it was not necessary, while you girls are out there getting hammered i'm here in this stupid post sitting and doing nothing much but watch you girls throw yourselves at the enemy.

Astoria: Yes captain we know that, but its our duty as members of the United States Navy and as American ship girls to fight, your human captain and last time i checked abyssals tend to kill a human pretty easy. as she fires another barrage of 5 inch AA fire creating more Flak

New Orleans: Astoria is right captain your- before she could finish her sentence she was cut off by the captain

Capt Smith: You don't understand do you i am also a member of the United States Navy i swore an oath to protect the country and its citizens against sea threats so don't say just because i am human i cannot do anything its also my duty to help! she shouted

As the captain ranted with the final rant her eyes diluted backwards as she fell from the on shore command post into the harbor water

Frisco: Captain!

New Orleans: Damn it Astoria! Minneapolis fish the captain out of the water now!

Astoria/Minneapolis: Right on it! they said in unison

[Naval Station Pearl Harbor] -Captain Evelyn Smith POV: 0810 hours

As i fell below the harbor water still in my workout clothes it was just warm, warm because its the pacific but as i close my eyes i sighed internally as i have failed my duty as a member of the United States Navy, i failed as i was useless even at times when i needed to be at my best to provide help in anyway i can as i sank below the harbor water inside my head was a song, a song so familiar to any member of the Navy, and even the public it was Anchors Aweigh, With my favorite lines Stand Navy; Out to sea, Fight our battle cry!

As the tune continued to play in my mind I started to have memories, memories that aren't mine or as I known before, rather memories of a ship, one image flashing to my head was a carrier at its christening ceremony i think its old probably 60's vintage as the carrier itself was huge for its size, so it has to be a Super carrier, but I thought which one the Navy has plenty of Super Carriers to begin with

Another image inside of my head that hit me was was a carrier its flight deck burning as that image flash into my mind my arm felt a sudden flash of pain as the image went about in my head and when i looked on my left shoulder was a patch with the hull of the said ship and it said "We are Legend; Ready on Arrival; The First, the Finest; Eight Reactors, None Faster"

As that happened then I knew who I truly am and as that happened I surfaced back up and I quickly saw Astoria and Frisco heading to me but when they saw me they were surprised to say the least

[Naval Station Pearl Harbor] - Astoria's POV: 0815 hours

When were about to near the captain to fish her out of the water she suddenly went up the water but instead of her workout clothes she was wearing a maroon leather jacket a black undershirt matching white pants with a badge on her left breast of her leather jacket and I instantly knew it was a coat of arms and with that is her rigging on her was a massive angled flight deck just behind her head, was her conning tower with the inscriptions "E" and the number "65" just slung over her shoulder was a rifle from what the Navy thought of the small arms they've used over the years its one of those Springfield M-14's to go with her looks is a nice officers peaked cap

[Naval Station Pearl Harbor] - General POV: 0816 hours

Astoria: Captain is that you?

???: Yes its me, Asty. she smiled

Minneapolis: Who are you!? What the hell you did to the captain!?

???: I am USS Enterprise CVN-65 the first Nuclear powered super carrier of the world and the United States Navy, yes Frisco i am the captain or used to be. she chuckled

Minneapolis: So your saying? she furrowed her brows

Enterprise(65): Meaning i was once a ship like you.... she trailed off

Astoria: But when you were decommissioned, you chose to be a natural born instead of staying back at the other side of the gateway.

Enterprise(65): Precisely, but now's not the right time to explain things i think we have to take care some business first shall we go?

Astoria: Alright lets do it!

Minneapolis: I'm still confused.

Enterprise(65): Don't worry you'll get used to it. she smiled

As the group sails back into position this time meeting up with New Orleans and Frisco who were still busy defending the harbor from the attack which they were winning already as by this time the number of abyssal planes has drastically  fell and now where just a few stragglers left

New Orleans: Who Are You!?

Frisco: What the?

Astoria: No time to explain battle first.

Minneapolis: We'll deal with this later on alright.

New Orleans: Alright, show us what you can do carrier!

Enterprise(65): Sure thing. she smirked

As that happened she lifted her M-14 up loaded a clip marked "F-14D" with the pull of a trigger her rifle went out with a loud bang as that happened a loud roar of after burning jet engines could be heard as they looked up on the sky they saw, 6 miniature F-14D Super Tomcats armed with "AIM-9 Sidewinder's" which proceeded to chasing abyssal planes as the air superiority fighters made short work of the abyssal planes

Enterprise(65): Need more no problem. she smiled

Again she loaded another clip into her M-14 this time the clip marked out with "F-18" as she pulls the trigger the loud noise of another six Jet aircraft into the sky this time armed with the legendary "AIM-120 AMRAMM's"  as the cruiser girls watch in awe of the planes made short work of abyssal aircraft Enterprise detected a couple of enemy aircraft managing to pass the AA fire of the other girls and New Orleans and her sisters

When Enterprise was informed by her radar operators (A/N: In KC the ship girls has crew e.g: a faerie crew basically miniature crew members or mini version of them) that a couple aircraft managed to get passed the AA screen the others where throwing at them

Enterprise(65): Oh boy. she said as she smirked

At the same time the New Orleans sisters were throwing as much AA fire at the sky that when they noticed the incoming abyssal aircraft it was already too late as the aircraft themselves are heading to the largest ship girl they can see which was Enterprise and since Enterprise's aircraft's are all busy doing clean up and chasing after stragglers her defense came down to her three RIM-7 Sea Sparrow launchers, two RIM-116 RAM launchers and finally her three 20mm Phalanx CIWS for the final layer

New Orleans: Shit watch out capt!

Astoria: E watch out!

Frisco: Hold i got e'm! she shouted

Minneapolis: You don't got e'm their out of your range dimwit!

As that happened Enterprise was just standing, not even maneuvering to avoid the incoming aircraft as that happened a loud clank came from her rigging as her AA batteries opened up with first the first of was her long range AA weapon three of the RIM-7 Nato Sea Sparrow as the launchers themselves launched her first line of defense with the range of 15 kilometers and closing with some aircraft's were intercepted by the missiles

As the planes came closer now at 10 kilometers her second line of defense the RIM-116 Rolling Air Frame Missiles began to fire their missiles at the incoming aircraft

As the aircraft grew closer New Orleans and her sisters were shocked as newly awakened ship girl was about to be sunk just after her awakening but unexpectedly the said awakened ship girl just smirked even harder when suddenly
