~THIS IS MY CONFESSION~

"Calm down. It's not what you think." Said Ten, handing Valarie a cup full of some green liquid.

Questioning not only the horrid smell of the drink, Valarie replied, "A beheading. That sounds like someone's head being chopped off. Is Ruka being-"

"God no!" Ten laughs and so does Ruka. "Well...sort of. But it's not- its what kickstarts celebrations here. One animal is choosen to be food for the night. We don't celebrate anything here accept for the naming of a child brought to the island."

Valarie bit her lip and Ten ushered her to drink what was in the cup. "It smells."

"Its tastes way better. Its Reggies special concoction. You never question it, you just drink." Ten sort of scolds.

Valarie took a tiny sip and instantly felt the weird drink in the back of her throat. "WOW!" she coughs hoarsely "that is...that is some good stuff." She coughs again

"I know right!" Ten giggles "And no Ruka. You can't have any."

"Damn it." She heard Ruka mutter

"So, why do you guys call this place Neverland? Is their a Tinkerbell and Wendy Darling too?" Valarie jokes

"How would you explain an island in the middle of the ocean to a child? Every child likes a good story. So, why not the story of Peter Pan."

"If its a place for kids, why're you and Roman here? And what about the babies who grow up here?"

"We only come back because the Prime allows us too. The Prime has given us everything we need to survive, so when we leave we can use what we learned and do what we were trained for." Ten explains "As for the babies, they're cared for by their sisters, who have the mother gene, taught by their brothers and serve the Prime like the rest of us."

" My mother was the daughter of a powerful Triad leader in Japan until she was taken hostage and raped. A couple months later, I was born. The Prime saved me because my mother didn't want me. I'm not mad at her though." Ruka speaks up, finishing Valarie's braid "I'm thankful, because I wouldn't exist if it wasn't for The Prime. There are hundreds here with stories about how they ended up in Neverland."

Valarie changed the subject quickly. Standing to her feet, Ten hands her a little mirror and a smile appears on her face. "Is it good?"

"Oh, its way better then good." Valarie replied "I think the last time I had a braid in my hair was when my sisters Viola and Violet wanted to try this new hairspray, so they used me as a test dummy. I ended up looking like the Wendy's logo. My pigtailed braids curled and standing up."

Ten bursted into laughter and Ruka only laughed because they were. "I don't know what that means."

"Don't worry about it Ru." Ten explains. "Lets just get you ready, yeah?"

• BACK IN GOTHAM •

"Answer, Damn it!" Said Damian as Valarie's line went dead. He had been dialing her number over and over again.

"It's been twenty minutes. She isn't going to answer." Raven sighed as they lay on the roof. "Let her go."

"I won't let her, go Raven." Said Damian. "Is it crazy that I see a normal life between us. No matter how crazy our lives are, she is the only thing that makes sense right now.  If I could, I'd give her the world, because my angel deserves the world."

"How sweet." slurred Raven laughing "And so so so so so very very very sappy."

They broke into a fit of laughter, but Damian didn't realize that he was leaving a voicemail. He never ended the call to Valarie.

"I don't think we can go home." He huffed

"We'll stay up here." nodded Raven yawning a bit. She made herself comfortable on the hard pavement. "I'm really tired...really, really, really tired."

"Me too. I didn't plan on sleeping up here tonight."

"Shut up. I'm sleeping." Raven says back "Go to sleep Damian."
