Louis's POV :

It' had been 2 weeks since the school band audition. During these two weeks, our half yearly exam was taken.
It was our last exam today, and so I was in a chirpy mood.

The cafeteria was not as loud and noisy as usual when I pushed the door open.

Wait, I knew why.

Lily wasn't screaming at top of her lungs today.
Lily and Zayn wasn't bickering today.
Niall wasn't laughing loudly today.

WAIT,WHAT??!!

"What the hell was happening?" I wondered as I flopped down in my usual seat at the cafeteria.

"Hey guys!"

No answer.

"Exam is finally finished, yeah?"

Still no answer.

"What the fuck guys?!"  I roared, this time my voice was filled with frustation.

"Louis." Harry said in a shaky voice, "The band results are here and.." He  trailed, "You are not chosen."

When I was six, I had to let go of hobby of playing football because of my blindness.

When I was eight, I wasn't chosen for the drama team because of my blindness.

When I was studying in my last high school, I was replaced in the school band because of my blindness.

But this time, I was optimistic. This time, I thought I finally had a chance......
But wow, I was greatly mistaken,wasn't I?

"We're sorry, Louis..." Laura put her hands on mine. Her touch seemed to calm me down a bit . 

I took a deep breath in, as I tried to collect myself together.

"It's okay guys. Don't be so devastated. Come on, I wasn't chosen....I'm supposed to be the devastated one here right? Rather I have to comfort you all......" I tried to joke.

Liam patted my shoulder from where he was sitting.

"Guys stop worrying." I said, "Maybe I wasn't good enough...."

"NO!" Lily said, "It's not you!"

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked in a confusion tone.

"Well," Niall sighed, " Apparently, Brian's dad is the chairman of the school music board...... So...."

"What? Don't tell me-"

"He chose Brian and Max instead." Zayn confirmed. I was completely taken back at his words.
"Brian and Max? Guys, they sound like turkey hens!!"

"Oh my god Lou!" My friends burst out in laughter, and after a few seconds, I joined them too, even though I was sure that our laughter earned weird glances from other students.

"Guys," Niall called when our laughter died, "I've an idea...."

"What is it, Nialler?
"Well, since we all are sad today, and our exams are finished too, I was thinking...." He suddenly lower his tone, "Maybe we should go to the club I was talking about! What do you guys say?"

"Hello! This is brooklyn, and none of us are 21 yet!"

"Well,Lily," I smirked, " Fake ID exists for a reason."

"I'm in." Zayn confirmed.
"Me too!" Lily chirped.

"Sorry guys, wish I could but.... My sister, Ruth, is coming home today, her semester is finished . I've to go to the airport to pick her up." Liam said.

"Same. I've a family dinner....can't miss that..." Harry trailed.

"Great! So you guys are leaving me for 3rd wheeling.....Correction.......for 5th wheeling, with these 2 impossibly cute and gross couples!" Niall mumbled.

"Seriously Niall? Me and Laura? We aren't even-"

"I'll go too." Laura suddenly replied to Niall's question from earlier,quickly changing the topic.

"Okay,then I'll pick Lily from her house at 8.30. Meet y'all at 9 in front of the club?"

"Alright, I'll pick Laura and Louis and meet you guys there." Niall replied and we agreed with him.
