Small angst warning!

It was quiet. Unnaturally quiet considering who was sitting in front of you.

"You haven't even touched your food. What's going on?" If the forced smile and nonchalant 'I'm fine, just not very hungry is all.' Had anything to say, he clearly wasn't fine. Frowning you tentatively placed your hand on top of his.

"Prompto, you know can tell me if something's bothering you." You tried to make eye contact, and quickly noticed he was trying to avoid it.

"I'm fine." He stated again. When you pulled your hand back to your lap you saw a brief flash of panic in his eyes.

"I'm not... As ignorant as you think. Something's wrong, let me help you." Your pleading seemed to only frustrate him.

"I know you're not ignorant. I just... I saw you, with that guy." You were surprised by how vicious the end of the sentence sounded.

"Who? Vincent? What about him?" You were cautious, you wanted to help, but whatever was bothering him was clearly a problem.

"I saw him, flirting with you. I know it's stupid to get jealous, and you're probably gonna leave me now-" The sound of your chair cut him off. When Prompto looked at you he could see your eyes had widened and tears were slowly forming.

"Do you really think I'd, cheat on you?" You asked pitifully. Prompto's reaction was immediate, he stood up and practically ran over to embrace you.

"No, no! Of course not, I love you so much. I just, I thought I wasn't good enough for you." You pushed Prompto back and stared into his eyes.

"Why wouldn't you be good enough? You're perfect. I'd be a fool to leave you. No one could ever love me the way you do. And no one could love you as much as I do." You rested your hands on the nape of Prompto's neck and started playing with his hair lightly.

"I love you too much. Please, don't leave me." You almost cried at how broken he sounded but managed to suppress it.

"Of course not. Not even in one million years."
