Life still seemed to like throwing curveballs at you, and you weren't sure why. Getting pregnant had been your fault and you knew that, you really should've used protection. However, life seemed to really want to punish you for not using a condom.

"How am I gonna tell him?" You murmured, while you walked out of the doctors office and started heading home. Resting your hands on your now prominent baby bump you occupied yourself with thoughts on the baby's gender, rather than the shocking news from your doctor.

"Welcome home beloved!" Prompto greeted as soon as you walked through the door. You sent him a nervous smile while taking your shoes off.

"Hey sunshine. I uh, I really need to tell you something." You stated when Prompto pulled you into a hug.

"Oh, okay. C'mon, sit down." Based on his iron grip on your hand, he to was nervous, you felt bad for stressing him out. So, you let Prompto lead you over to the couch to sit with him.

"I'm pregnant." You clarified as soon as  you and Prompto were sitting. Before you had a chance to explain Prompto started laughing loudly.

"Um, I know? Its been like three months. You've got the belly to prove it." Prompto replied, gesturing to your stomach. You huffed at his response and turned away slightly.

"No I'm like REALLY pregnant." You added after his laughter ceased. This statement earned a few confused noises from your boyfriend, causing you to giggle.

"I'm sorry, I don't think I follow. What do you mean?" Prompto questioned once you turned back around to face him.

"Its twins." You bit your lip, anxiety growing the longer Prompto's expression remained unreadable.

"So, you're saying, there's two little babies in there. Not just one." Prompto was staring at your stomach in confusion. You sighed, realizing his brain wasn't going to full process unless you further explained.

"Yes, that's generally what twins means. You're not upset right?" You felt yourself tense when Prompto stood up, slightly worried he was just going to walk out.

"Why would I be upset? I mean, I'm definitely not fit to take care of one child, much less two. But I'm still excited! Kids is a pretty big step and I didn't expect to be here already, but it's kind of my fault we're in this situation anyway." You sighed in relief while Prompto continued to ramble. You hadn't expected him to be so calm about the news, but you were glad he was.

"Sunshine, you're rambling." Your sudden input caused Prompto to freeze, an awkward giggle leaving his mouth.

"Sorry beloved, it's just a lot to process." Prompto apologized, coming back to sit next to you. You nodded in agreement, before resting your head on his shoulder.

"We can do this, right?" You asked, looking up at Prompto. You felt Prompto start rubbing your back to calm you before responding.

"Of course we can! Plus, if it gets to hard we can give them to Ignis- Ow!" You elbowed Prompto's side before sending him an amused glare.

"Ignis already has to deal with you. The last thing he needs is more children to deal with." Prompto sputtered indignantly at your statement, earning a laugh from you.

"I got you pregnant. I'm clearly not a child." Prompto crossed his arms after his weak attempt at defending himself.

"I don't know, I'm surprised we even got far enough for me to get pregnant." You watched as Prompto started flailing around because of your teasing, trying your best not to laugh.

"Beloved~ why are you being so cruel~!" Prompto whined, now resting his head on your lap. You laughed at his antics, and began to run your fingers through his hair.

"It's payback for the fact that I'll have three children in my life soon." Prompto pouted, before turning to look at your stomach.

"You'll love us and you know it." Prompto retorted, placing a hand on your stomach.

"I'm sure I will."
