Ignis #51
(A/N) A brand new request from @lilyprincess32 hope you enjoy!
I'm glad I'm getting more Ignis requests, poor boy wasn't getting much love!
Also this is an angst train because I finished the game and I'm dying inside! I'm still on vacation but I'll probably be posting a little.

"This isn't what a marriage should be." You muttered, staring up at the ceiling in anger. Ignis was gone again, doing whatever the hell he did. That thought wasn't fair, you knew what he did, he took care of the prince.
That's all he ever did.
Shaking your head to clear your negative thoughts you quickly walked downstairs to hear the front door shutting.
"Long night? You never came home." You questioned upon reaching the bottom of the stairs. Ignis looked as exhausted as always, leaving you to wonder just what the prince had him doing.
"Forgive me. I was explaining confidential matters to Noctis late into the night." You pursed your lips at the vague response. Slowly, you made your way over to your husband.
"I've grown tired of being ignored." You blurted, instantly regretting your words. The look your statement had produced on Ignis' face was precisely what you expected.
"What?" You knew he'd heard you. You assumed he was surprised by the fact that you were showing you needed affection.
"One can't survive on the thought of their lover alone." You replied, thinking back to all the nights you'd spent alone.
"You do realize I'm doing all of this to protect you. To protect everyone." There it was, he would always put you first, but before you could enjoy it he'd shove you back in with everyone.
"I didn't ask to be protected." You interjected, growing annoyed with his excuses.
"I'm your husband. It's my job." Ignis sighing, pushing his glasses further up his nose.
"Our relationship is just a job now? Like everything else?" Your voice was icy, venom dripping from your mouth despite your calm tone. Your argument was childish and you knew it, but you were done ignoring the problem.
"That's not what I meant and you know it. Stop behaving like a child." You sent him a glare and crossed your arms, further proving his point.
"What happened to us Ignis?" You asked, your anger quickly giving way to sadness.
"I'd like to say nothing. You're as radiant as ever, when you're not like this at least." Ignis' comment earned a snort from you.
"Before you proposed, you asked if I'd be able to handle your lifestyle didn't you?" Ignis nodded, appearing to be recalling the memory.
"You had given me a definite yes at the time. Are you wishing to change this now?" You shook you head furiously, burying your face in his chest to hide your tears. You never understood how he could always act so collected, even in moments like these.
"I just... I want to feel like we're married. Why can't we have what everyone else has?" You questioned, words muffled by his chest.
"We're not everyone else, for starters." Ignis replied, cupping your face and wiping your tears.
"I wish we were. Is that bad?" You asked looking up into his emerald eyes.
"No, it's not ideal. It's not surprising either. I highly doubt my schedule will change, but I'll try to make an effort for you." That's all you could ask for. A sad smile made it's way onto your face before it was hidden in his chest once more.

(A/N) Wasn't that fun? I had so much fun. *sarcasm*
This game has murdered my feelings and I am distraught. Luckily sadness motivates me to ignore everything that happened in this game and write! *thumbs up*
See ya next time!
