Chapter Twenty-One

CHAPTER 21. / REVISED.

Previously.....
Ariel stood up from the hard marble tiled floor, as her sore legs from the burning sex crumbled, and extended her hands to the vibrating device.

"Hello."She spoke calmly to the caller. As the trembling of the phone, fell to the ground like a boom in a nanosecond.

****

The phone call ended before it even started, she knew very well like an hurricane was approaching, that her mother was going to visit. As a wild cat that she is, Ariel tossed the pieces of his clothes to him. She also tossed her skimpy fabric on.  He looked puzzled and curious , and even surprised  to what was going on. He didn't interrogate her, he only threw on his pants, shirt and left the apartment and he was more than satisfied.

Ariel froze in the center of their large living room,as her mouth twisted in a 'O'.
Her mother Silvia was about to arrive from her Cruise in Mexico in a few hours.
Silva, their mother was a complete neat freak and perfectionist. Silva almost lost it and tossed her seven inched stiletto at a eight year old Ariel for miss placing the dry and liquid measuring cup for baking her famous pies. The world's greatest mother right. She never  made this mistake again after the scar it left in her right hip.

****
Ariel was pissed at herself. She pushed the broom across the floors, and pouted like a small child as she prepared for mom's visit. How could she have spelt with him? Don't she have any shame? Her sister's low life of a man was pretty impressive than their first time in the club. The way his large arms cup her soft tender firm breast, the slow seductiveness and fast in action.
His black suede scent numbed her senses.
Kelvin's body was hot like a desert yet his heart was at North Pole.

****
There was no intention what so ever to even figure each other, no attraction, cupid, love it was just the sex and hatred that  kept them going.
Enemies with benefits the title of their relationship.

****

Silvia sat on her large leather chair, as she faced the window in California.
The burning tequila, the liquor numbed the ice of pain she felt inside her heart. The tapping of her long stiletto heels was the only sound to be heard in her vacant office.

She took up the phone and made a call. Silvia wasn't the type to smile much, for her it was always a frown.
What's life without a hurricane?

"Silvia here, get the car ready, we are going to New York." She ended the call before he could even answer.
Martin has been her loyal driver for years, and a family friend of her.

The cold lady went packing and, before you knew she was heading to her hotel.

****
The poor intimidated daughter, Ariel curled into a ball, fearful of what would her Mother's visit be like.

****
The cream grayish curtains held a beam of bright light creeping through the window. She used her tiny fingers as she rolled out the covers and stretched her hands.

It was a Sunday morning, nothing special. Quickly, Ariel took her bath and changed into a floral dress and flip flops and existed the apartment.
Her mother, Silvia didn't show up as yet so she decided to eat out.

The houses and apartment complexes got huger and more spectacular as she walked closer to the coffee shop.

It was Conor's Coffee Shop. Inside was cozy, modern and held many chandeliers. The brown themed place gave it a more hospitable scenery. It wasn't as crowned, since it was very early.

Ariel sat as a young girl who looked like sixteen or seventeen approached her asking for her order.

Sipping her cocoa tea and minding her own business, a lady in seven inch stiletto and formal business with mid long brunette lady walked in with a man in jeans and black leather jacket sticking closely by her side like glue.

The chocolate vanilla muffin fell from the tight grip from her palm, as the corners formed in a 'o' and her mouth lost its elasticity.

It was Silvia, her mother and their driver Martin.

"I hate that man!"She whispered more likely screaming inwardly and adjusted her posture.

****

"There is my princess, Ariel over there!" The lady in her mid fifties pointed to the table towards the window and walked over to the table.

She pulled her disoriented daughter into a tight hug, not a space to breathe.
A frown formed around her cheeks as Martin sat and smiled at Ariel, which made her even more uncomfortable.

'' Hola! Mama, Como estas?" Ariel greeted calmly.

"Si, baby. Things have been good, I miss you but it was good for my baby, you know and change and then now that your sister is in the hospital, so how have things been with you. " Silvia replied with a straight face not really making eye contact.

"I know mama, things have been good here, I miss you ma."

"Yes boobi.
So have you visited Eve?

"Stop calling me that and no I haven't visited her mama?"

"Why dear?"

"You see mama, why does she always have to come in a very damn convo, sorry but the world doesn't revolve around her, sadly right."Ariel raised her voice to her mother drawing attention to their table.

"Ariel you know I love you but you need to work things out with your sister, starting now we are going to visit her."Silvia instructed  in a firmly.

"Yes mama."She replied  in a soft tone knowing she wasn't  going to comprehend.

****

They existed the coffee shop and went towards the car.

The shuttering of  cameras, a large group of nosy journalists and media houses. Definitely it was the paparazzi, these stalkers  are even more prominent in New York City.

"It's the Gray's."

"Is it true that
    Eve was shot?"

"Which hospital."

"Please, Mrs. Gray answer.''

The media houses, and paparazzi ran toward the Gray's as in a flash they were in the car and out of sight.
