Chapter 3 - To Liberty

I was being dragged out of Nobel Michel Castle by Luke. I saw a limo come into view as Luke pulled me towards the limo. The limo had the crest of Liberty, and he opened the back door. Then, Luke forced me into the limo and closed the door.

"You have no choice but to come with us. You've caused many problems beyond relief for His Highness. I wonder what His Highness will do to you for your punishment." Luke told me through the window in a severe tone. I started to tense up as he said, 'punishment.' Then, I saw Louis run towards the limo with the giant bag I had left in Prince Edward's limo.

"Luke, I just heard from Miku. You will need to take this to Leia. This is the things that she brought with her." Louis panted.

"Why did she bring a bag with her?" Luke asked Louis.

"She always does this. She packs her important things. She needed to bring this last bag, so she was ready for the move."

"Move? Move where?" Luke started to look more confused.

"She was moving house tomorrow to Oriens. But unfortunately, it looks like her plans have changed." Louis said, looking at me in the limo. I started to look away in shame.

"Ok, I will give this to her. Thanks. At least she will have some of her things with her."

"I must warn you, however. Do not mess with a cuddly dog in the bag. She will be outraged if you touch it. She has been angry with people who even look at it." Louis warned Luke as he opened the door and passed me the bag. I quickly opened the bag to find my little toy dog. A cuddly little dachshund whom I named Lucky. Her black and brown body was so soft that I hugged her as the door closed again.

"It's ok, Lucky. We will get out of this..." I whispered to Lucky as Luke and Prince Keith got into the limo. I closed my bag.

"Straight to the airport, immediately." He barked at the driver.

"Yes, Your Highness." The driver said and drove us off into the night. Prince Keith looked at me weirdly, but I turned to face away from them. I didn't talk in the limo journey to the airport as the air was tense. I kept hold of Lucky when we arrived at the airport. As soon as I got out of the limo, Luke came round to my side of the limo and grabbed my wrist. I couldn't get out of escaping him.

"Oh no, you don't." He whispered, which scared me. I had no reply and was continually dragged to the plane to Liberty, bag in tow. It was a very posh private jet. I was in slight awe at looking at it. Finally, Luke pushed me onto the private plane. Prince Keith followed on. I sat down in a seat in the back of the jet.

"I'd have a seat belt on, there." Prince Keith mentioned it to me. I placed my bag down next to my feet.

"Ok," I said as I was sitting down. Then, the jet took off without any interruptions. I was nervous about it because I had never been on a plane.

"So... What's your name?" Prince Keith asked, sitting not far away from where I was. I wasn't paying attention to Prince Keith trying to talk to me. "Well?" He shouted. He startled me with his volume.

"L-Leia." I stammered. I felt nervous as the only prince I had met face to face was Prince Edward.

"Good, that wasn't so hard." He went on sarcastically.

"I was just deep in thought," I answered to his jeer. I held Lucky towards my face. He looked shocked when I answered.

"Probably the first you've answered back to me..." Keith continued to make fun of me as he stared at me. "What is the use of that toy?" He tried to reach out towards my toy dog. I suddenly started to glare at Prince Keith and snarled at him. I growled like a bear protecting her cubs. He was startled at my ferocious tone. "Ok, fine. I won't get near the toy dog. So protective, aren't you?"

"Do you mind if I stare out of the window? I've never seen Liberty, you know?" I asked politely, in a frustrated tone.

"Fine." He said with a huff. Finally, some peace.

I stared out of the window. Lights dotted everywhere around. After discovering I was Nobel Michel XIII's great-granddaughter, I studied a bit about all countries and had some knowledge. But unfortunately, I didn't learn traditions in Liberty yet. All I knew was that the Royal family was in the 10th generation and Liberty was the wealthiest country.

We got ready to depart the jet as we descended into Liberty. I quickly put Lucky in my bag as I didn't want to leave her on the plane. When the jet touched down and stopped, Luke came out of the cockpit and approached me.

"Come on, we need to get off," Luke said, grabbing my wrist again and pulling me off the jet. I felt like I was Christine, led by Luke the Phantom. I was ushered into a limo which went to Liberty Manse. Prince Keith followed after us. Finally, all of us got into the limo, and we headed off for Liberty Manse.

"Nearly at the Manse now," Keith muttered to himself. I have seen pictures of Liberty Manse before but have not seen them in person. I looked in awe at it—a similar building colour to Nobel Michel Castle.

"Have you never seen this place before?" Luke asked me, trying to keep me under his thumb.

"I've seen pictures of here. Never in person." I replied to his query. I stared off into space for a bit until I felt suddenly chilly. A swift wind blew.

"Come on, out you get," Luke said, practically pulling me out by my arm. I thought he was trying to pull my arm out of its socket. But, instead, he leads me by the arm inside.

I looked at my surroundings. I'm in a palace. Shame not my one, but they will never know for a while. I made that little promise to myself that I would never tell them who I was. After all, the princes and their butlers cannot know my royal identity before my 18th birthday.

We entered the Manse. The hallways were laid with a red carpet, and the drapes were aquamarine in the light. Luke kept pulling me through many corridors, and then Luke led me to a room. "This will be your room." He spoke. He opened the door and let me in. Prince Keith was a little behind. It seemed like he had been somewhere before following us in.

"Is this room to your liking?" Prince Keith asked as I looked at the items in my room. It was a small room with white wallpaper. The bed looked more considerable than the one I had. There was a wardrobe in the corner of the room. All seemed bare, and I noticed Luke staring at me.

"Is it?" Luke mirrored Keith's question.

"Yes, it is," I replied quickly. I just wanted them out of my room. I grew pretty annoyed with them, treating me like dirt for the past few hours suddenly felt some anger creep in, and I started to feel frustrated.

"You see the door over there?" Luke pointed towards a door opposite the bed. "Well, that's a bathroom before you ask. Now, I'd better let you sleep. You have to wake up earlier tomorrow. It's been decided that you will be a maid as of tomorrow." Luke explained. "It also means you will be calling me Master Luke." He said with a glare.

"Yes, Master Luke." I sounded unfazed about it. I had a bizarre dream earlier in the year that I saw myself in maid's clothing at some point. Grrr, can you get out of my damn room already? IDIOTS! I noticed it wasn't my thinking, but it was Cadence. She sounded so angry and impatient in my thoughts, but she was pretty annoyed with them.

"You sound as if you knew this was coming." Prince Keith told me.

"Well, it's punishment. Luke did say earlier that I was going to be punished." for something I haven't even done, I said, not revealing what I was thinking. I didn't want to annoy Prince Keith further, even though he annoyed me more. "It's not like I have rights or anything." I felt the frustration coming out. I thought I had no control over what I was saying.

"You have no right to ask that, you know." Prince Keith started to get even more furious with me. I began to look away from him as I knew he would pretend to be the victim.

"Oh, something I nearly forgot," Luke says, handing me a phone. It is an iPhone. Gosh, no, I like this phone already.

"This is your work phone. Prince Keith and I can ring you with this." Luke explained.

"Why would you want to ring me? I don't see the point since we aren't even civil." I said as I noticed my mood was starting to dip. "Literally, what is the point? I don't even like you."

"You saying you don't want to go home?" Luke shouted as he looked offended. I started to walk away from him and towards the window. I didn't take further notice of my kidnappers.

"Why should I answer you? I don't answer to deaf people." I knew my mood was furious, and I felt their anger towards me.

"HOW DARE YOU CALL US THAT WHEN YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!" Prince Keith bellowed.

"Let's talk about this later. We should rest from the party. Sheesh... I don't like this girl already..." Luke started to try and calm the situation between Prince Keith and me. I looked towards Luke.

"Fine. Also, Leia, there's even tabs on it, so we can keep an eye on where you are." Prince Keith said, making me angry and very uncomfortable. It felt like they had some ulterior motive behind this, and I started to feel creeped out. "Goodnight, Leia," Keith told me as he began to head to the door.

"Goodnight, Leia. Remember to get up, or I will be forced to throw an ice bucket over your head in the morning," Luke warned me.

"Of course," I answered. When His Highness and Master Luke left the room, I got to my bag. I quickly got Lucky and my pyjamas out of my bag. My parents prepared the bag for me so I could attend the party. I didn't know if I needed to rest overnight as Nobel Michel Castle. I had never had an evening outing before, as my parents were protective of my safety.

Thankfully, I had the final pieces of my items before the move to Oriens. I held Lucky in my arms and walked towards the window. I looked at the bright full moon. Sorry for losing it there, Leia. This will be a weird experience to have our moods mixed like this. The mood swings we have just now and on the plane are a side effect of us not being together yet. Your passiveness and my anger are going to be a good mix... I sensed sarcasm in her thoughts. Yeah... I put Lucky on the bed and headed to the bathroom with my pyjamas. I got dressed and ready for bed, and I picked up Lucky.

"Goodnight, Lucky." I started to cuddle her and snuggled into the duvet. I felt cold when I got into bed. I couldn't drift off to sleep as I was freezing and terrified. I was in a different country from the one I was raised. It took me a while to get to sleep. When I eventually did, I was completely unaware of what would unfold.
