Chapter 2 - An Engagement?!
I was shocked. Why were people gasping? Prince Keith was embracing me. I got up and got away from Prince Keith. Prince Keith came over to me and dragged me out of the ballroom. When we left the ballroom, he pushed me against a wall and started shouting.
"WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO!" Prince Keith screamed in my face. I was crying as I had no idea why he was shouting at me. I just kept silent as Prince Keith continued yelling at me. He eventually stopped yelling at me when he heard a voice call out to him.
"Ah, so you were here, Your Highness." said a man in a black suit, with no jacket, walking towards us. He was the man Louis was talking to earlier. His ginger hair went to one side of his face. I saw he had a beauty mark next to his left eye. I was getting nervous as he looked a little cute. As I tried to work out how I managed to anger the prince, I realised the man approaching wouldn't be happy with me. He looked a little angry.
"Yes, I am here, Luke, with her." Prince Keith said, pointing at me. I covered my face with my hands as I tried to dry my tears from dealing with this jerk-faced prince.
"Oh, I see, Your Highness," the man named Luke said. Luke turned to look at my crying face. "What were you thinking?!" He shouted at me.
"Don't worry, Luke. I have already yelled at her," Prince Keith turned to face me. "You better go home before you get into more trouble." Prince Keith told me.
"Umm... Ok... Your Highness.." I said as I wept and walked away. I went through posh hallways that were coloured gold along the ceilings. This castle must have cost a lot to build. So I thought until I walked into Miku and Meiko. They are my good friends in the Sirenloid group.
"Are you ok there, Siren?" Meiko asked me, worried as I was still drying my eyes. Meiko looked very concerned.
"Sorry. His Highness, Prince Keith, shouted at me..." I answered. Miku hugged me.
"Yeah, it's that engagement tradition they have in Liberty. Rin told me about it as, you know, she lives there.." Miku explained.
"An en-engagement?" I was shocked when I heard that. "Why would I want him?" I asked as I heard pairs of footsteps running down the hallways. I used my ability of disguise to turn my eyes red, my hair became long and red, and the dress turned black so whomever it was couldn't recognise me. It was a group of ladies who were looking for someone.
"Who are you looking for?" Miku asked the ladies, running at a fast rate of knots. The ladies stopped for a bit to answer Miku.
"We're looking for Prince Keith and that girl he dragged out." One lady said.
"Yeah, that girl needs a punch from us for taking our man!" Another lady exclaimed.
"I didn't see where they went.." Meiko said, turning around to face them.
"I didn't either," I said to the ladies. The ladies looked at me and looked happy to see me.
"Oh my gosh, Siren. You're here. I was wondering why we didn't see you at the party." A lady started to look giddy. "I am, like, one of your biggest fans."
"It's ok, I just arrived. That's why my hair is a mess..." I answered. It was true, though, as I wasn't there. The ladies started to run down the hallway again, looking for their prey. "I wonder why they need to see him that badly.." I asked Miku. A smashing noise rang in the hallways when I finished asking, and I cried loudly. I have sensitive hearing, and the noise hurts my ears. After that, I changed from my Siren appearance to my normal appearance.
"Oh no, sounds like something smashed in that hallway." Miku said to Meiko and I. Miku ran down to see what the noise was. Meiko and I followed suit. We saw debris from an expensive ornament all over the floor in front of us. What was this when this was together? I wondered. Suddenly I heard footsteps coming from that hallway. I saw two very angry-looking men heading toward us. Prince Keith, with Luke following behind him. I noticed they were both glaring at me.
"WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!" Luke shouted at me. I'm petrified of these two... "What are we going to do with her?" Luke asked as he turned to look at Prince Keith.
"I feel she can't explain her actions to us." Prince Keith sighed.
"What? I didn't do this. What was this before those ladies smashed it?" I asked them.
"This was a significant present from my father, the King of Liberty, to Nobel Michel XIII. It was a costly vase. Also, why do you say 'ladies' when I don't see any other ladies when I see you three here?" Prince Keith answered as I was trying to look to see where the ladies went.
"The reason why is that they ran past it. I didn't do it." I replied. I knew they wouldn't believe me because of the earlier fiascos.
"She's right. She didn't." Miku agreed with me.
"I'm sorry, but I don't see anyone else here who could have done it. I know you both wouldn't do it, Miku and Meiko. But, Luke, take her away." Prince Keith said, pointing at me. Luke grabbed my wrist in a hard grasp, so I couldn't run away from them.
"What are you doing? She isn't the culprit." Meiko mentioned this to Luke.
"She's already caused problems for me tonight, so she's coming with us to Liberty. Sorry, Miku and Meiko, but she must be taken away now." Miku and Meiko couldn't say anything to him.
"You'll find out; you didn't get the culprit in the end..." Miku said as she started to walk off.
"Let's tell the others about Leia's awkward predicament," Meiko said, walking off with Miku.
"We'll tell the others about this," Miku shouted. I felt happier that Miku would do that for me since Luke had a harsh grip on my wrist. It started to hurt.
"Ok. Could you tell Prince Edward for me as well? I don't want him to be worried about me." I answered.
"Of course, Leia. We'll see you tomorrow night." Miku said as she and Meiko went around the corner and out of sight. I started to panic over the situation.
"She didn't do it? Yeah right. You will lie to me even if you know the Sirenloid group as their friend." I heard Prince Keith mutter to himself. "Get her to the limo and keep her in there." Prince Keith said to Luke.
"Yes, Your Highness," Luke said as he started dragging me through corridors towards one of the exits of Nobel Michel Castle. I knew this wouldn't be a great visit to Liberty as it would be. I felt as if I was kidnapped!
