Ch. 43: Surprise for Billie
(Note: Before anybody comments something, it's been six years prior to the beginning of the story and Billie is over 20 years of age in the current two chapters. She's twenty-one.)
The next morning, you and Barnaby are getting Cindy ready for school. You've enrolled her into a public school and since you yourself went to an alternative school back in Cat Scales when you were a kid. Goatshire Elementary School is where Cindy's going. That's where Billie went. Cindy starts Kindergarten, today.
She's got her favorite backpack ready for when she goes. Her Pop Team Epic backpack. She is hyped for school. Ready to learn. You and Barnaby have already taught her some math. Just addition as a start and since addition is usually the math you would learn, first.
When it came to yours and Barnaby's school days, you've realized the slight difference in what school was like for both of you. For Barnaby, he was in school throughout the 1900s to the 1910s. He opened up to you and told you he was not popular. He was picked on quite a bit. Called a dork or weirdo for being too smart. Bullied and called a devil's puppet for having a teen mom when he was born.
You on the other hand were popular in school. You just weren't mean. You were popular for rebelling and selling weed to some of your classmates in high school. Being in an alternative school, you were actually one of the most respected students among them. People in Cat Scales saw them as outcasts and devil spawns, too.
The difference during Barnaby's old living days is that some students thought you were rad and special for being born to a teen mom. The cool kids actually praised you for that. That's why you had a lot of dates, but they were not that great. Barnaby's the best thing to happen to you. Him and Cindy.
You're all in the living room. Billie's up, too. She usually sleeps in until at least 11am or noon, but she's up earlier to see Cindy start her first day of school. Cindy has on a white shirt with Powerpuff Girls on it. Short sleeves since she's an owl with wings like Barnaby. Whenever she's cold, you'll give her a poncho. Better for an owl like herself.
Right now, you're combing the top of Cindy's head. She does have a bit of your (hair color) hair since she is your daughter. She's much like Billie and has a touch of frontal hair. She still goes more girlie though since Billie's more tomboyish and was more aroace until she developed her crush on you.
You say, "I can't believe this. My baby already in Kindergarten." Cindy looks at you and says, "But I'm not a baby, mama." You say, "No, but you'll always be MY baby. Mine and daddy's baby. No matter what your age." She says, "Oh, okay."
You get done with combing her little touch of hair and you say, "There we go. Come downstairs and eat." She says, "But I should brush my teeth first, right?" You say, "No. Food first, then brushing. You don't want your breakfast tasting like toothpaste, do you Cindy?" She says, "You're right. And you make the best food, mama." You smile and you say, "Awe. Thanks, baby.~" She grins. You lean in and you kiss her on the cheek.
You look at her and you say, "I love you so much, Cindy. I'll do anything for you. Anything at all." She smiles and says, "I love you too, mama. You, daddy, Billie, grandma Gayle, Fantoccio, Bijou, Aristotle, Arthur, Elaine, Scrimshaw, Billie's two friends Lou and Lily, Billie's mama Belle." You say, "They're all going to love hearing this."
Her smile fades and she looks away and sighs. You say, "Honey. What's wrong?" She says, "I miss Oscar." You sigh and you say, "I know, baby. We all do. Billie especially. It just... happened. He was really sick, last year and he couldn't deal with it. None of us could. Billie had to go and get him to... be at peace, herself. Billie wasn't handling it well, herself. She loved Oscar so much." She sighs.
(Yeah. I'm sorry, but I'm going to make some sad parts in my stories.)
You say, "Hey. Don't let all of that upset you for your first day, okay? We all miss him, but we'll all be in his place one day." You look away and you whisper, "Your daddy would know." You look at her and you say, "So... Breakfast?"
She smiles and nods. You say, "Come on." You lead her out of the room and downstairs to eat breakfast, go upstairs to one of the bathrooms to brush her teeth and then you and Barnaby send her off to school.

A few hours later go by. It's noon. Cindy's at school at Goatshire Elementary School. A public school since nobody in your family or even Barnaby's back then sent their kids or ancestors to a private school. But back when Barnaby was a child, rules were different. Public or private school. It was the 1900s when HE was in elementary. Teachers were a lot stricter then.
It's just you, Barnaby and Billie now. You're all in the living room. Barnaby looks at you and he looks at Billie. He smirks and says, "Hmm." You and Billie look at Barnaby and you say, "What's up, baby?" Barnaby says, "Oh, nothing. Just a... thought." You say, "About what?" He says, "It occurred to me, just now." Billie says, "Tell us. What is it?" You say, "What I want to know, too."
He says, "Oh, believe me. Hoo hoo. Both of you will need to know what's on my mind right now." You and Billie look at Barnaby. He looks at you both and he says, "Billie's been a great companion to us. A great acquaintance. I must say, I'm glad she holds no grudge against me now after the times I've tried to off her while I was a ghost. I regret all of that, now."
Billie says, "Barnaby. I forgave you years ago. Just tell us." Barnaby says, "I will say this, Billie... I think you'll love to hear it." You look at Barnaby. He chuckles and he says, "I think the goat deserves it after all." You say, "She deserves a lot of good things."
He says, "Yes, but... This is something she desires, more." Billie looks at him. He looks at both of you and he says, "(Y/N) my dear... I think Billie deserves a kiss from you." You say, "What?" Billie gasps and blushes. She looks away.
Barnaby says, "You heard me, correctly. You and I are both open about giving permission to someone to be involved with us during our most intimate moment, are we not?" You say, "I-I mean we are, but..."
You look at Billie and back at Barnaby. He stands up and he says, "Think about it, my dear... Billie has been longing for this since the moment she developed a crush on you. Now she has that chance, being pass the age of twenty... I'll give you both time to think. I'm getting some tea. I'll be right back. Trust me, I won't be upset if I catch you two making out. Oh hoo hoo hoo." He walks out of the living room.
Billie's blushing madly and whispering, "Holy crap." She sighs. You say, "Billie." She looks at you. You stand up and so does she. You're standing across from each other. Standing about six feet away. You look at her and she looks at you. She looks away a bit. Her face nearly beet red. You say, "It's okay. You can look at me." She looks at you.
You say, "What do you think, Billie? Are you going with Barnaby's request?" She approaches you and she says, "Yes. You have no freaking idea how long I've waited for just one peck on the lips from you, (Y/N). Just one is all I ask." You grab her hand and she takes your hand.
You say, "It's fine with me. You're well over eighteen and you do have permission. Think about it, Billie. You're an adult now. You have that chance." You step a bit closer and she blushes and says, "My god. You're so pretty.~" You smile and you cup her chin. You say, "You ready?~" She nods and she immediately leans in.
You place your lips onto hers into a kiss and she instantly kisses you back. She's blushing and she's overjoyed to finally have her own lips on yours. She sighs and she smiles into the kiss and wraps her arms around you. You have yours around hers.
You both continue kissing. You make it a bit deeper and Billie immediately shoves her tongue in your mouth, causing you and herself to moan a bit. She has one hand on your face and one hand on your shoulders.
After about two minutes, Billie pulls away. You sigh and you smile. You stroke her face and you say, "There you go. You finally got what you've waited for, right?" Billie opens her eyes slightly and she sighs and smiles.
You both hear this, "Happy now, Billie?" Billie looks over to see Barnaby standing in the doorway of the living room and the hallway with a smirk on his face. She sighs and smiles. He chuckles and says, "I'll take that as a yes." He walks in and he approaches you. He says, "Told you she'd be happy, my dear."
You smile and you say, "You're right. I think she's earned it. A kiss from my soft... 'moist' lips.~" Billie blushes after you say that. She looks away, having dirty thoughts. You smirk and you say, "Oooh... What are you thinking, huh Billie?~" She says, "I-I really like you, (Y/N)... b-but sh-shut it." You giggle and you say, "You did great with the kiss, Billie. Just a heads up, hon.~"
She blushes and smiles. You say, "We'll be right back. Watch something on the big screen." You and Barnaby walk off. Billie sits down and she has that smile on her face. She smiles and says, "I've waited so damn long to feel her lips against mine.~" She sits back, dreamily.
