Ch. 34: Barnaby Knew All Along/ A Long-Awaited Revival
The next morning, you begin to wake up. You suddenly start hearing the sounds of Cindy crying. You stretch a little and you say, "H-hang on honey. Mommy's coming." You look over at Barnaby... but he's not there. You say, "Huh?... Barnaby?" You get up and you say, "Where did he go, now?"
You walk out of the room and you head for Cindy's room. You get to her door, but you suddenly hear her crying die down. You say, "Huh?" You open her door and you walk in. You stop as you see Barnaby standing there. Cindy in his wings.
He sees you and he smiles and says, "I've got her. Don't worry your pretty head, my dear." You sigh and you smile. He looks down at his daughter and he sweetly says, "Have no fear, little one. Daddy's right here.~" She coos. He leans down to kiss her on the forehead. He says, "My little Cindy.~"
You say, "Feeling alright, Barnaby?" He says, "Well enough to get up and get to Cindy. But... I still have a bit of a headache. And not from her crying... No no no. Never her." You say, "It's because you've had too much to drink last night, baby. You're alive again. You'll feel more of that, pain and everything else than ever before throughout the century you've been a ghost." You smirk and you look at him saying, "And more pleasure during, you know...~" You giggle. He blushes and he says, "Y-yeah. I guess you're right."
You look down at Cindy and you smile at her. You lean down to kiss her and you say, "You okay with daddy for a moment, honey? Mommy's gotta pee." You move away and you look at Barnaby saying, "I'll be back, baby."
Barnaby says, "Alright, dear. You do what you need to. Don't hold it in." You say, "You know you'll have to do the same since you're alive again." He says, "Oh, believe me. I'm aware. Three hours of me being alive, I had to... pee. For almost two hours. Never stopping. Since after we went down to the village to pick Cindy up. I guess that's me coming back to life after a century. That's why I was in one of the bathrooms for so long."
You say, "Well, shit. I get it, now. At least you let it out, right?" He nods and says, "I'm sorry. I know this is... not really the best conversation to have." You say, "Baby. It's all good. You can tell me anything you need to. Anything... I'll be back." You walk out of Cindy's room.
As Barnaby rocks Cindy a little, she suddenly starts to cry loud. Barnaby says, "Oh no no. Shh shh. My little one. It's alright. There there. Shh shh." He holds her close, but she's still crying. He knows she must be hungry... and you still haven't weened her off of breastfeeding. You yell, "I hear her! I'm almost done!" Barnaby sighs and smiles saying, "Good." He looks down at Cindy and he says, "It's alright, my baby Cindy. Mommy will be back in no time.~"
He sees you and he looks at Cindy and smiles. He says, "See?" She's still fussy and lets out a couple of hiccups. You approach them and you say, "I've got this, babe." You take Cindy and you pull the loose collar of your shirt down.
You bring her close to your exposed breast and she starts to drink from you. You sigh and you smile. Barnaby blushes and he smirks. You notice and you say, "Barnaby. You're my husband. You can think all you want about me breastfeeding our daughter. I'm your wife.~" He smirks and he says, "You're such a minx. Kinky and dirty when you and I are alone. Doesn't mind watching others breastfeeding our kid. I love you.~"
You look at him and you say, "Others?" He giggles and says, "Honey. I'm fully aware that the goat has had a crush on you since you became a mom." You say, "So, you knew the entire time too, huh?" He looks at you and asks, "How did YOU find out?"
You say, "Fantoccio told me." He says, "I see. I saw the signs, myself. I saw how Billie was stuttering as she spoke to you while feeding Cindy. Or when you've mentioned how plump your butt was in a pair of pants you wore one day. Billie was here and she looked away, covering her face. I know the goat has a major crush on you." You say, "You knew about Billie, too?" He nods. He smirks and says, "I trust my instincts. I know how anyone sees my wife."
You hiss a tad bit after feeling a bite and he says, "Darling. Is everything alright?" You say, "Y-yeah. But... I felt something pretty sharp on Cindy." He says, "Wait a second." He leans in. You say, "Wait." You move a hand down and you pry her little beak a bit. You see a tiny and sharp looking tooth.
You say, "Well, no wonder I felt something. She's going to be a biter, Barnaby. I have to ween her off of my breast, asap." He says, "Wow. H-her first tooth, already? She's three months old. Even James didn't get his first tooth until he was a year and a month old. And he too like Cindy was an owl. It's just... too bad he didn't have his biological mother to feed him while he was that little. I had to hire a woman from the village to do the deed. But things were different then. Didn't have what we do, now."
You say, "Yeah. I'm weening her off, soon. I've been planning on weening her off my boobs before she turns one. She won't like it at first." Barnaby says, "That's understandable." You continue feeding Cindy. Barnaby stays by until you both head downstairs with her.

Later on in the afternoon, Billie is at Aristotle's place. Aristotle had a plan. And since Billie now has the gem that will bring her father back to life. It's the gem Barnaby gave to her since he no longer needs it with him being alive, again.
Aristotle has the gem in his hands. He sighs and says, "This is it, Billie. It's time we brought him back. Oh god, I miss him." Billie looks at him and says, "Believe me. I want him back, too. I have so much to ask him. So much to know what he was like." Aristotle says, "I'll tell you this, kid... You get your adventurous tendencies from him. You do the same things he had, before."
He sets the gem on a platform and he steps back. He says, "Let's hope for the best. This gem is your best bet, Billie." They both look ahead at the gem. Billie whispers, "Please let this work? I need to see my dad, again." Aristotle puts his hand on her shoulder.
Suddenly, the gem begins to slowly float. Billie gasps. It starts to glow and shimmer a bit more and Billie says, "Hey! It's... It's working!" Aristotle whispers, "Come back to us, Arthur." Everything goes bright and Billie shields her eyes. Aristotle does the same to himself because it's too bright to look at. There's a swoosh sound along with it.
Everything stops and they uncover their eyes. They look ahead to see a goat man with spectacles, a bit of a tuft on his head, shorter ears that are puffy on the ends, green shirt, horns on his head, etc. Both Billie and Aristotle gasp. Aristotle whispers, "Arthur."
Yes. It worked. Now Arthur who is in front of them... is alive once again. He looks around and says, "Hey... This place. It's so... familiar. Like I've... been here." He looks ahead and he gasps. Aristotle approaches him.
Arthur says, "Aristotle?" Aristotle smiles and says, "My old friend. My... soulmate. You're... you're back." Arthur looks at him and he smiles. He says, "Ah, my Aries." Aristotle grins and says, "You're back!"
He runs to Arthur and Arthur pulls him close, embracing him in a hug. He moves away and they lean in to kiss. They pull away. Aristotle says, "I've missed you so much!" Arthur says, "It's alright now, Aries. I'm... I'm here." They pull away.
Arthur looks ahead to see a teenage female goat. He says, "Wait a minute... That face. It looks familiar." He approaches Billie and says, "Could it be?" Billie says, "Hi, dad." He gasps and he says, "B-Billie? After all of these years of me being gone. M-my child." He puts his hand on her face. Billie smiles. Arthur says, "You've grown so much, Billie. Come here."
Suddenly, Billie looks away and she begins to sniffle. Tears come down her eyes. She looks at him and he sees this. Arthur says, "Awe. Billie. It's alright, sweetheart. Come here." Billie hugs him tightly and he embraces her. He strokes the back of her head and he says, "There there. It's alright, Billie. I'm back, little one."
He kisses her on the top of the head. Aristotle smiles and looks as though he's about to cry, himself. He says, "I'll leave you two to it for now. I'll be back." He walks off. Billie and Arthur embrace each other. She's happy to have him back.
