The next morning, you and Barnaby are laying on the bed. He gets up first and he raises his wings to stretch. He says, "Ahh..." He puts his wings down and he looks down at you and smiles. He leans down to kiss you on the cheek. You sigh and you smile in your sleep.

He strokes your face and he says, "My lovely wife. Last night was certainly magica..." He stops as he notices his own wing. He says, "H-huh?" He brings it up and he sees a familiar color tone of feathers he once had. 

He says, "Wha... What's this?" He moves away and he pulls the cover off of himself. He gasps as he sees that he's back in his old body. When he was alive. He says, "What's going on?" He gets up and he runs to a vertical mirror in the room.

He gets there and he gasps in shock. He backs away. Turns out... he's alive again. He says, "W-wha... What the?" He pants and he looks around. He looks towards the mirror and he says, "W-what happened? I-I died years ago. I'm supposed to be a ghost. How did this happen?" 

He hears this, "Barnaby?" He looks back to see that you're awake and sitting up to face him. You open your eyes a little more and you gasp. You get up and you approach him. He looks at you. You say, "B-Barnaby?" You put your hand up to his face. He looks back and forth at his wings and he says, "I-I don't know how this happened? I... I'm..." 

You say, "My god. You're alive, again!" You sigh and you pull him in for a hug. He wraps his wings around you and he pants a bit. You say, "It's okay. It's okay." You move away and his eyes widen. He gasps for air and you say, "Oh shit. B-baby. Baby, breathe! You have lungs, again!" You put your hands on his face and he looks at you.

You say, "Barnaby. Relax. Please? Deep breaths." He settles down. You say, "Deep breaths, sweetie. Breathe in." He inhales air as he breathes in. You say, "Breathe out." He exhales. You say, "Breathe in." He inhales. You say, "Breathe out." He exhales once again. You say, "There there, baby. You'll get the hang of it, again." 

He says, "I wonder how this happened." You gasp and you say, "Babe. The Barnaboos." He says, "Hey, you're right. I had the power and the source to keep them as ghosts with that gem. I..." He gasps and you both run out of there. You both yell around for any of the Barnaboos to come out. You look in each room some of them stay in. They're not there. 

Barnaby says, "Wha... Where did they all go?" You gasp and you say, "Barnaby... I think I've figured it out." You look at each other and you say, "If you're alive again and you had power over them while you were a ghost... then that means their souls are at peace. They're dead dead. In the ground." He says, "My god. After so long with having their company." 

You sigh and you grab his wing. He takes your hand and he looks at you. You say, "I know it's tough losing them. Literally losing them. But since this happened, that did too." He sighs and he says, "Well. At least I have you and Cindy." You both gasp and you both yell, "Cindy!!"

You run back into your room and you get to your phone. Barnaby has his hands up to his heart. You dial your mom's number and you wait for it. You get this, "Hey, sweetie. How was your little honeymoon there at the manor with Barnaby?" 

You say, "Good. Absolutely beautiful. Um, mom. How's Cindy?" "She's fine, honey. She's awake and laughing." You sigh with relief and you say, "That's good." You look at Barnaby and you smile and nod. He smiles and sighs with relief.

Your mom says, "Is something wrong, baby?" "Mom. You will not believe this. It's Barnaby." "You won't believe this either, honey. Cindy sneezed a while ago... but she didn't turn into a ghost." "My god. It did affect her as well." "What's going on, (Y/N)?" "Mom. Barnaby's alive, again. He woke up all flesh and bones. Living and breathing." "My god! Seriously? Is that why my grandbaby didn't turn into a ghost when she sneezed?" "I'm wondering all of this, too. I mean don't get me wrong. I'm happy about it in some ways. But Barnaby and I will be there in Goatshire to see you and pick Cindy up. You need to see him for yourself, mama." "Okay, baby. I'll see you when you get here. I'll tell you this. Cindy was such an angel the whole time." You smile.

You hang up after talking to your mom and you look at Barnaby. He says, "So?" You say, "Honey. The lifted curse affected Cindy, as well. My mom said that she sneezed and did not turn into a ghost." 

He says, "My god. L-let's go get our little one." You nod. Barnaby gets his suit on which is its original purple color it was before and you both head out of the room, downstairs and out of the manor.

But as you get outside, you both gasp. The outside is bright and sunny. Normal daylight like in Goatshire and the rest of the real world. You look ahead and you realize you are in Goatshire. You see the village down below a hill. 

You look behind you and the manor looks the same. It just somehow ended up there in Goatshire upon a hill. Barnaby says, "My god. E-even my manor ended up here." You grab his wing and he takes your hand. You both head down the hill, down a path.

The citizens of Goatshire are outside and notice the mysterious hill and a dark manor that stands out from the rest of the houses there. They gasp. Billie's out there with her mom and Oscar. She says, "Hey. That's Barnaby's manor!" Belle says, "So, that's what the place looks like, huh? How did it get here?" Billie says, "Beats me." 

But then Billie sees two people coming down and she sees that it's you... and a male owl. She says, "Wait." She approaches you and the other and she gets the realization of who the owl man is. She gasps. She says, "M-my god. It's... Barnaby? H-how is he... Wait." 

She thinks back to last night when she borrowed a book from Aristotle's place and she says, "That book." Then it clicks and she says, "Oooh... That was the book of the dead. A Necronomicon. THAT'S what did it!" 

You and Barnaby get down there and you see just about everyone standing outside. Mouths gaping in shock. You say, "I guess they've noticed the manor here, too." You walk through and Billie sees you. She yells, "(Y/N)!"

You stop and you look to see Billie. She waves. You look at Barnaby and you say, "Be right over." You approach Billie and you say, "Hey, Billie. How are you, hon?" She says, "Good. Um... Is that Barnaby behind you?" You say, "Yeah. He's alive again. I wonder how it happened." 

Billie says, "Umm. Well... I think I may have figured out the answer to that just now." You look at her and you say, "How?" She looks at you and says, "I borrowed a book from Aristotle. He suggested I read a certain page. About a gem. One similar to Barnaby's." 

You gasp and you put your hands on your mouth. You look over at Barnaby. He's in shock, too. He says, "M-my god. So THAT is why I'm alive again! It makes sense, now. B-but we need to get to Cindy." 

Billie looks around and she sees your mom walking out of her house with little Cindy in her arms. She points over and says, "There." You and Barnaby look to see your mom with Cindy and you head over there.

Your mom sees you and Barnaby. She's shocked to see how Barnaby now looks. He's not that ghostly owl figure, anymore. Nor is he stretching out his neck or anything. He's alive. All flesh and bones. He's got his spectacles on, too. Just like you saw in a photo of him a century ago.

Your mom says, "Holy shit. He really is alive and all." Barnaby smiles and says, "Yes, my dear mother-in-law. It is I." He chuckles. You see Cindy in her arms and you smile and say, "Awe, Cindy. My baby.~" Your mom smiles and says, "She was good the entire time. Here you go, honey." You take Cindy and you lean down to kiss her on the cheek. 

She giggles and smiles up at you. You say, "Awe, my baby girl. Were you good for grandma Gayle? Huh?~" She smiles and goes, "Ahh." You say, "Yes. Mama's baby.~" Barnaby comes over. Cindy looks to see him. He smiles and says, "Peek-a-boo.~" 

Her smile fades as if she doesn't recognize him at the moment and she starts fussing. She suddenly starts to cry. He gasps and he says, "Oh no no no. No need for the tears, little one. It's me. It's daddy. I'm just not a ghost anymore, honey.~" He takes Cindy and she's still crying a little. He says, "Shh shh. No need to cry, my little baby.~" 

Cindy stops crying as soon as she hears him talking to her and she recognizes his voice right away. She goes, "Aahh." He smiles and says, "It's daddy, little one. Daddy Barnaby's right here.~" She smiles and she makes a sound. He giggles and he says, "There's my princess. Oh, daddy loves you, my little baby.~" He leans down and kisses her on the cheek. She giggles. He holds her close.

You says, "Mom. Thanks so much for watching Cindy." She says, "Anytime, honey. Glad to see that Barnaby here was given a second chance at life. Not as a ghost." Barnaby says, "I'm... still trying to get used to it. All of my Barnaboos are back in the ground, at peace. They're souls left along with it." 

You say, "Mama. Thanks again. We're getting Cindy back home with us, now." She says, "Okay, honey. Love you." You say, "Love you too, mama." She pulls you in for a hug and you hug her back. She kisses you on the cheek and pulls away. She walks to Barnaby and ducks down to Cindy to kiss her on the cheek. She says, "Bye, baby. Grandma loves you.~" Cindy smiles up at her.

You and Barnaby turn to walk towards your manor. Cindy is in Barnaby's wings and she's clinging to him. He's just happy she recognizes him, now. It took him speaking to her. He suddenly hears this, "Barnaby." You and Barnaby stop and you look over at Billie. 

She approaches you guys and she gets to Barnaby saying, "Hey, look. I know we've had conflict for quite some time. But I've noticed a sudden change of heart, the more I saw you after getting (Y/N) back with you, last year." 

He says, "Go on." She says, "You have a wife and kid, now. That's what matters, right? I guess that book did you more justice than before... Besides not having your Barnaboo ghosts minions, anymore." He smiles and says, "Oh hoo hoo hoo. And I do thank you for this, Billie." She looks at him and says, "Really?" 

He nods and he says, "Oh, and... Sorry for trying to kill you all of those times, before. But that's behind me, now. I'm alive again. I have a wife and daughter to take care of. I may even have something you've been longing for." She says, "Oh?" He says, "I'll throw a banquet at my manor. All are invited. This Saturday evening." 

Everyone hears this and they exchange glances. They look at him and they smile and nod. He says, "Splendid! A little celebration of me being alive again and getting a second chance to start this new life I'm living. Saturday evening. Dress your best." There's applauding from the citizens of Goatshire, including your mom and Belle.

Barnaby looks down at Billie and says, "I'm sorry for what I've done. I really am. You forgive me, Billie?" She smiles and nods saying, "Yeah. All is forgiven, Barnaby." She holds her hand out. He takes it and they shake hands. You smile. He says, "Oh, and would you still be interested in babysitting our little Cindy whenever the wife and I go on a date or whatever else?" 

She says, "Sure I will." He says, "Excellent. Much appreciated. Well... We better be off, now." You and Barnaby bid everyone a farewell for the time being and you turn to walk back up the hill and to the manor with Cindy.
