The Concert

"♬ Scattered' cross my family line, I'm so good at telling lies-that came from my mother's side-told a million to survive ♬"

"♬ Scattered 'cross my family line! God I have my father's eyes, but my sister's when I cry, I can run, but I can't hide ♬"

"♬ From my family line ♬"

"♬ From my family line... ♬"

The song ended, and the crowd roared.

Damn people really do love these guys.

Multiple people screamed things like 'marry me Ritz!' or 'I love you Orchid!!!'

"Tpf, awe~" said the lilac skinned boy.

"Thank you! We love you too!" Smiles the lavender themed girl.

I looked at my sister, who rolled her eyes and smirked to herself, we were backstage, after paying a small three thousand bucks to watch away from the erratic crowd. Neither of us wanted to deal with that.

I mean, who would?

I stood with my sister by some equipment that took up a lot of space. Velvet, who was already bored because her second favorite artist Shelly Sparrow hadn't played yet, typed aggressively into her phone, probably texting her friend Morty.

She had already seen all the other artists she liked, Molly Marvel, Cronan Graine, Tanner Swint, and the two that had just performed; Orchid and Ritz. Well, she mostly preferred Orchid out of the two.

"♬ Scattered 'cross my family line... ♬" I found myself muttering. I had to admit, the song wasn't that bad. And coming from me that's saying something.

I was a very... picky, person, so to say. And I had a tendency to be very judgemental with some things. It isn't my fault, it's just how I am. Velvet's like this too.

"Velvet and Veneer Valentine," came a sugary voice from a few feet away. "It's a pleasure."

Velvet's phone dropped from her hands in shock as her little celebrity crush sauntered up to us, her brother in toe.

He for one, was somebody I could respect.

As much as I hated to admit it, his attire wasn't half bad. He wore an off the shoulder fishnet shirt over a white crop top, the black skin tight pants he wore fit his form perfectly.

Velvet and Orchid instantly started chatting about some shit I didn't care about, meanwhile me and Ritz stood awkwardly.

To make things a little less awkward, I grabbed my phone and started scrolling through Pinterest.

Between the artist standing quietly next to me, and my sister and Orchid talking about makeup, there wasn't really much to do.

So I huffed and shut off my phone, looking up from the Owl House fan art I'd been looking at, and looked over at Velvet.

"Hey can we go now? The entire show is almost over anyways and Shelly already performed."

"Wait really?" Came both girls' sad voices.

"Yep." I said boredly.

"Ohhhhhhh goddammit I wanted to see her show!" Velvet said sadly.

"Me tooooooooooooo..." Orchid whined.

"Well suck it up, 'cause you didn't." Ritz said, I could tell he didn't wanna be here either.

"But-"

"Orchid, I'm tired, can we please just go home please?" The guy next to me begged.

"Fine..." The girl mumbled, and they left.

"Come on Vels," I said. "I'm tired too, I wanna go to bed. I've gotta head down to the set tomorrow and I'm probably going to be there for a while. And I need my beauty rest."

"Okay, okay!" Vels rolled her eyes. "Party pooper."

"Duh." I responded, and she laughed.

Although, I couldn't get that stupid song out of my head, or the artist who sang it's sexy ass voice.

"♬ Scattered 'cross my family line... ♬" played over and over in my head until I fell asleep.
