Naruto yawned as he looked out of his hotel window. It was the crack of dawn and his family was still asleep. They were tuckered out after yesterday. He was prepared to face Shikaku should they cross paths and they would, Naruto wasn't an idiot the man will seek him out. For now he'll go perform his job as a body guard and being A's second eyes and ears. The man had a tendency for violence and quick replies which often buried him in trouble. 

Naruto yawned again and looked towards the door were his children resided. It opened slowly and the twins were dressed and looking fresh. "And where are you going?" Naruto smirked as they ran up to him. 

"We got invited to go on play dates." Boruto said as he slung an arm over his twin.

"You know what to do." Naruto smirked, his children did as well. 

"Hai Tou-san." They said in unison.

"Another step in your training, and no note taking keep it in your mind." Naruto reminded them, they nodded.

"Leaving me all alone," A sleepy voice call from the bed. Naruto smiled as his wife sat up in bed. "Seems you guys are in top form."

"Stay in bed momma you had a busy day yesterday." Shikadai said in concern. Shikamaru waved him off and got out of bed.

"I have enough strength to kiss you guys goodbye." Shikamaru leaned down and kissed their cheeks and the boys blushed at the beautiful smile their mother gave them.

"I have bragging rights because your so pretty." Boruto said in awe, Shikamaru laughed. He turned to Naruto and gave him a cheek kiss as well.

Naruto gripped him by the waist and buried his face in Shikamaru's neck. "Go to sleep, your former friends and family wore you down." 

"Okay but I'll be looking to have lunch when you get a break." Naruto hummed in agreement and pulled away.

"Let's go boys." Naruto cheered, they jumped and clung to his neck and Naruto settled them in his arms.

It was weird for the villagers to see the boy they despised, come to love, expecting to be Hokage walking with the emblem of a different village. It brought mixed reactions but no one dared to question it because he was flocked by his heirs. Heirs that should've been born in this village, they felt gutted and torn from a right they deserved.

Naruto was led to a familiar park and eyed it in nostalgia. "Have fun with the kiddies you made friends with."

Naruto left them to it and headed for his job. Boruto and Shikadai turned to the two kids who were already there.

"What the fuck do you mean you want to propose a new route into our village!" Ay yelled flying up. Before he could split the table in half Naruto caught his lightning charged fist. Naruto gave him a casual look and settled him back into the chair.

"Ay calm down." Naruto said in a bored tone, he turned to the other Kages and briefly caught Gaara's confused face aimed at Kurostsuchi. He made a 'keep silent' motion. "As for the proposal we will have to decline. All of you have a route to our village, separate ones at that. What would be the purpose of the Stone asking for another one." Naruto landed a solid glare on the woman.

Kurostsuchi looked away nervously and gulped. "Simply because we think our route is too well known now." Naruto raised an eyebrow.

"Do you hear yourself." He asked as he leaned forward. "What happened to total transparency? We are all allied, so what if your route into our village is known. Does it make a difference."

"What are you accusing me of!" She blew up, her nervousness showing on her face.

"I never accused you of anything, your the one blowing your tits. Is the male testosterone levels killing you in here." Naruto snarked, Kurostsuchi knew she was staring in the face of a shinobi who was god tier in power and chakra alone. And if her plan didn't go off with out a hitch she was screwed. 

"Naruto stand down." Kakashi warned, Naruto scoffed in his face.

"Hatake your not my Kage." The blond turned back to the woman and narrowed his eyes. "I'm watching you."

Boruto and Shikadai were currently in the apartment of Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha. They were supposed to be playing in Sarada's room along with Inojin and Cho-Cho but it got boring fast so now they were snooping. They learnt the basics of the family they were, a complete utter mess.

Sasuke and Sakura are known for their constant bouts of falling out, Sasuke gave the vibe of a guy who married the first girl that tossed herself in his direction. Despite that he's well known for taking long term missions sourcing out threats against the Leaf. Sakura was the Head Medic and was constantly improving her medical ninjutsu. Her chakra infused strength made her a force to be reckoned with. 

But that was scratching the surface. They had millions of files about everything you could think of. But what caught them off guard was the records of their father and mother. They had tons of information. Turns out Sasuke's side quests take priority when he heads out more than once on so called sourcing threats for the Hidden Leaf. He was searching for Naruto, they were notes dating as far back as a month ago when sources claimed to have seen their father in Kirigakure. 

"Well, at least we figured out this much let's look for other things." Boruto suggested, Shikadai nodded and they circled the office one more time making last minute checks of documents and moving things back into place. A small red scroll fell from a high shelf when Shikadai was hoisted on his brother's shoulders. The scroll was sealed and they weren't familiar with the art other than the basics and even at that Dad said they inherited their mother's shit handwriting. Considering their mother didn't need to write to keep track of important records.

"Let's carry it back to Dad, he said he was gonna pick us up from the park." Shikadai sighed in resignation. Boruto nodded and they snuck out of the room and back to their covers.

"Sarada, our Dad said he was gonna pick us up at the park so we have to head back." Boruto smiled at the girl. Sarada blushed and nodded. Cho-Cho gave her a side glance before laying eyes back on the twins.

"See you tomorrow." Shikadai waved and headed out.

Naruto waited patiently while nursing a cigar, he soon heard the heavy pants. He turned to see his children running up to him. "You know, I never expected you to leave the park." 

"Sorry Dad but when the target moves, you move." Boruto grinned as he climbed into his father's lap, Shikadai sat beside him and pulled out a small red scroll. 

"We found this in the Uchiha's residence." Shikadai said turning over the scroll to his father. Naruto took it with an awe look. 

'Who knew Sasuke had been paying attention to the sealing lessons I gave during the war.' Naruto smirked. It was a good seal, not great and far beneath his level. "This helps so what did you learn?"

In hushed tones they told Naruto what they have discovered. Naruto wasn't surprised his winds told him of Sasuke searching for him. You would think that being the Raikage's right hand and guard you'd be well known. Nope, not even close. Naruto doesn't mind, it keeps his kits safer, the last time someone tried to kidnap them it did not end well. 

"Next is Ino's and Choji's. They have plans for momma, let's see what their planning." Naruto hummed. "This is why I think kids are better for spy missions. They never expect the little boogers to have ulterior motives when invited into other people's homes." 

"Are you calling us boogers?" Boruto looked offended, Shikadai scoffed.

"No, your mayhems. The boogers are the sloppy ones who ride their parents' name for fame when they have no skill to back up their name." Naruto said simply. "Mayhems are the ones who take their training seriously and can act on said training to bring good to the family name and generate their own fame."

"That's us but we don't want fame." Shikadai said leaning on his father's shoulders. "We just want to stay glued to you and Mama."

"For now that's what you'll want but eventually you'll grow out of our little den of a home and strive to build your own den and have kits of your own." Naruto said with a distant look. "I should've had more kits with Shikamaru."

"No," The twins snapped in unison. Naruto laughed and snuggled them closer.

"We'll stay with you and mom cause that's what foxes do. Stay in packs." Boruto said under his father's chin. Naruto smiled, he didn't want them to grow up.

"Naruto." A cold voice said from behind him. Naruto patted his kid's head.

"Alright go play somewhere, Daddy's gonna have a important conversation." They nodded and ran off to the swings. Shikaku sat on the bench and watched the twins.

"We're coming for you." Was the first words that came from the Nara's mouth. Naruto chuckled at the threat.

"Shikaku threating won't get you anywhere." Naruto said placing his cheek on a fisted hand.

"It's not a threat, I fully intend to take my son back and have those children come along." Naruto turned to give the man a bored look.

"It seems Shikamaru struck a nerve with how he acts now. I take it you plan to have someone undo the 'damage'. Good luck you won't get far." Naruto smirked and got up. 

"Come on it's time for lunch and you have playdates with some kiddies." Naruto called, they soon left Shikaku behind who glared into Naruto's back.

'Seems the seeds have been planted.' Naruto thought proudly, his wife did his deed now it was time for him to nail it home.
