Chapter 7: The First Notes

*Ian's POV*

I blink awake and look around. I'm still in slender in the room. Mia and Rin are still asleep. I sit up and stretch. My head still hurts a little but this is more like a throbbing and no where near as bad as yesterday or whatever I don't really know how time is kept here. I look outside and to my amazement it's actually day time! But considering this is slenderman I doubt it'll be day time for very long. I look back around the room and in the middle of the floor is a scrap of paper. I crawl over to it and pick it up. On one side in scribbled hand writing was the letter 'E'. Curiously I flipped it over to see if there was anything on the other side. In the same scribbled hand writing as the 'e' it read 'I'm always watching'. My heart race picks up and the throbbing in my head gets worse as I vaguely remember the booming drums in the back of my head from the first time I played this and just how much 'fun' that was. I set the paper down and shake my head clearing away the memories and throbbing of my head.

"You ok Ian?" I hear Mia ask from my left. She must've woken up while I was looking at the note.

I turn my head to look at her. "Yeah, just remembering the first time I played this." I reply.

"Yeah... I watched that video." She said under her breath.

Wait, how could she know about that video, I took it down. (A/N: sadly he did take down his slender video, I was really sad I loved that vid. 😢) Unless... "Your a fan?" I ask with a smile.

She nods and it looks like she's blushing a little. "Since your first videos." She replies.

I chuckle, and she turns to look at me. "What?" She asks.

"You embarrassed that your a fan?"

"N-no!"

"Then why are you blushing?" I tease.

She shrugs. "Maybe nerves of meeting you. I mean your a big inspiration to my friends and I."

I smile. "Well, I don't bite."

She giggles. "Good," she looks over and sees the scrap of paper. "What's that?"

"I think it's one of those notes that this game usually has."

"Hmmm... Well let's ask Rin when he wakes up."

"Yeah..." I look over at Rin who's still asleep, but it's not a peaceful one. He's very tense like he's having a bad dream or something. I can't say I'm surprised, I can't imagine sleeping in this place would be very easy, especially with freaking slender basically right at your freaking front door. I walk over to him and gently shake his shoulder. "Rin wake up."

His hand comes shooting out of nowhere grabbing my wrist and his eyes snap open.

"Whoa, easy dood, it's just us." I tell him.

He takes a deep breath. "Please don't do that again..." He mutters.

"I won't, you seemed to be having a bad dream so I decided to wake you."

He nods. "Thanks. So what's up?"

"Well, this." I say handing him the note.

He takes it and looks at it. "Where'd you get this?"

"I found it in the middle of the floor when I woke up."

"Well, my guess is that this is the start to Slenders tasks. You know the eight pages?"

I almost sarcastically laugh going to say do I? But I don't because if he's right that means we're going to have to find these pages and not die.

"Nine in this case." Mia says.

"Nine?" I ask.

"Probably... I mean this one was too easy to find, he wants this to be hard and scary so this one must be his way of hinting at the task." She explains.

"Makes sense, but where would we find them?" I played a version that was inside a building so there wasn't any trees or anything like here.

We turn to Rin who is still examining the note. "Uh, Rin?" Mia says.

He looks up. "Yeah?"

"Where do we find these notes?"

"Well... You can find them anywhere hung up on things but they're usually on trees, abandoned buildings and other things..."

Great, so not only could we get killed trying to find these notes but it might take us forever before we find them all! No! We've got to find these notes! Beat the challenges! Escape this place and go home! For my friends and for my fans... I will not give up.

"Well let's get looking." Mia says standing up.

Rin and I also stand up. Mia walks over and picks up her black hoodie which I some how ended up using as a pillow and throws it on over her dark gray t-shirt. "Oh Ian, how's your head feeling?" She asks.

"It's still throbbing a little but it's ok." I reply.

"Ok, if it gets worse tell us and we can come back here to rest."

I nod and we all head outside.

"Oh Rin, I can take the note." I say.

Rin nods. "That's probably a good idea. I have a tendency to lose things." He replies handing me the note.

I take the note and put it into my pocket and zip it up so I don't lose it. The sun was already starting to go down, go figure, so we pull out our flashlights and keep looking for notes.

(Still Ian's POV)

Not very long after the sun went down and us wandering around aimlessly we finally found another note. It was hanging on a tree as Rin said. I walked over to it and in the same scribbled hand writing as the first it read 'No escape' I pulled it off the tree and flipped it over and there like the first one was a scribbled letter, only this one was the letter 'H'. As I put this note in my pocket with the other one I hear some rustling nearby. I look at Mia and Rin.

"Did you guys hear that?" I ask.

Mia cocks her head and Rin looks confused. "Hear what Ian?" Mia replies.

I don't want to worry them, we're all already enough freaked out. If I hear it again I'll tell them. "Nothing, probably just my imagination." I say.

"Ok..."

I smile trying to reassure them that it's fine. Rin still looks confused and slightly worried while Mia looks full out concerned.

"Ian if something's bothering you tell us so we can find somewhere to rest." She says.

"I know, but everything's good right now let's keep looking for these notes." I reply.

"... Alright..." She says sounding unconvinced but we continue making our way around looking for these notes.

Option A: I have a story for Mitch! My friend I came up with the idea that if Mitch was half elf but he never told anyone until it came back to get him.

Option B: I was thinking maybe a enderlox, skybrine and witherMU or something of that sorts.

Option C: Team crafted meets two five year olds who have no home, no family except each other (they're twins) and they have a troubled past that has consequences that are still after them.
