I know it's supposed to be Snow White but I realized that the princes in Snow White and Cinderella barely does anything in the story unlike beauty and the beast so I chose red riding hood instead. This is an Ike x child!reader cuz I realize that nobody tried this yet so...

Once upon a time...

You were preparing to go to your grandmother's house and you had to go through a forest and you were thinking 'yeah okay I can do this' so you grabbed your basket that was full of goods and exited the door.

On the way there you were suddenly picked up "what? Hey!" You squirmed. You pulled up your red hood to reveal the face of a bulky dude with a poker face "put me down! Grandma is waiting!" You screamed "didn't your mum tell you not to play in the forest alone?" He asked and you glared at him.
"I'm not alone! I have my friend Bob with me!"
"Yeah well either Bob abandoned you or he's imaginary"
"Let's go with the second option, now put me DOWN!!!" You screened in his face and he put you down. He brushed his blue hair out of his eyes then began to walk away "whatever you say kiddo, just be careful there are wolves in this forest" you frowned and began to move.
'Stupid good looking guy, thinking I can't handle myself...' You thought kicking a stone. You continued to follow the pathway until you spotted a small little cottage with a chimney "grandma's house!" You exclaimed and immediately ran towards it.

You entered the house with a huge smile "graaandmaa~" you placed the basket on her table and pranced over to her bed. You blinked, either grandma was getting really old or she had plastic surgery "wow grandma, what big nose you have!" You exclaimed peering even more "oh wow! What big ears you have!" Then you frowned "grandma? Have you been cutting your nails lately?" You asked looking at the large, sharp nails she had. Then grandma lunged.

You realized that whoever was tucked in the bed was not your grandma. You screamed as a wolf jumped out of the bed snarling "HELP!" You shrieked as you ran around the house trying to escape the wolf. You ducked under chairs, tables and even grandma's bed until the door burst open.
You looked over it was the blue haired dude from earlier! And he had a giant sword in his hand "AETHER!" He shouted and killed the wolf.

"Thanks" you said crawling out of the bed, he shook his head "no prob where's your grandma?" He asked, you pondered for a while then you glanced at the wardrobe. You rushed over to the wardrobe and flung it open "grandma!" You exclaimed hugging the old lady inside "oh! (Y/n)! How are you? What happened to the wolf?"
Let's just say it took a looong time explaining what happened.
"Then-errr what's your name?" You asked the dude with the sword "Ike" he simply said.
"Ok thanks. Then Ike showed up with this huge sword and killed the wolf!" You said making wild gestures with your hands "o-okay dear, since that crazy fiasco is over why not we get something to eat"
"Yeah!"

~a few choco-chip cookies later~

You played with a butterfly while waiting for Ike and grandma to finish talking "escort her home will you?" She asked. Ike nodded "I will" then grandma gave Ike one last pat on the head before going back inside "ok kiddo let's move" he exclaimed starting to walk back. You eagerly went beside him and held his hand "so what's your name kiddo?" He asked holding your hand tight "(Y/n)!" You replied.
"Nice name kiddo, next time you go into the forest be more careful"
"Yeah yeah, you'll protect me right?"

"Of course"
