You honestly didn't know how you ended up with Marth in the first place. You weren't even sure if he wanted to be with you in the first place either. Until you found out from Lucina that Marth was very cautious of what others think of him "he doesn't want rumors to go around, as a king I guess his reputation is important" she said.
You decided to take things a step further.
"Maaarth~♪" you sang. You and Marth sat at the shorelines of the beach along with other smashers for some relaxation time. Marth looked a little uncomfortable with his blue swimming trunks. He looked even more uncomfortable with you sitting so close to him in your (f/c) bikini. "Yes (y/n)?" He asked, it was obvious he was trying to keep himself from bursting into red. You hugged his arms allowing it to press against your chest "ne, Marth isn't the weather great today?" He nodded.
"The water is so cold!"
He nodded.
"Let's build a sandcastle!"
You got the same reaction-he nodded. You pouted before grabbing his arm and started dragging him to the water "come on Marthy! Don't be such a kill joy!" You giggled splashing some water at him. "I guess I have been" he said returning the splash. The two of you had a water fight when you accidentally landed on Marth. He caught you by your hips and your hands were gripped on his shoulders. Marth quickly steadied you and let you go. "There it is again" you said crossing your arms.
"What?" He replied.
"Your always holding back"
"I don't understand"
"Are you afraid of people seeing you show your affection Marth?"
He didn't say anything "so that's a yes?" You asked.
He nodded. You sighed and started to walk back to the hotel the smashers were staying since the smash mansion was really far from the beach. Once you reached there you took a shower, after taking a shower you put on a plain white t-shirt and shorts.
You were surprised to see Marth in your room. It looked like he had taken a shower since his hair was still dripping wet. "What do you want?" You glared at him. Marth took a deep breath before saying "(y/n), I'm sorry for being such a bad partner. I'm sorry that I was afraid to show my affection towards you in public...I'm sorry I really am" you stopped glaring at him and smiled "it's fine, let's take a walk at the beach yeah?"
He smiled "that sounds relaxing" so the two of you went to the beach.
The two had a small water fight, your shirt got so wet it showed your dark colored bra but you didn't care. Then before you react Marth pinned you down on a mat "M-Marth?" You stammered "admit it, you were being flirty back then weren't you?" He asked. You laughed nervously "hahaha! okay you caught me!" He smirked and whisper huskily in your ear.
