Lightkit shivered in the chill. It's time, she thought. Though the sun was high in the sky, the clouds were covering it and a cold breeze was blowing. She still didn't think this was right, but she knew Icekit wouldn't give up. When her sister had reached a decision, that's final.

"Come on!" Icekit called quietly. Lightkit hurried after her. When she glanced back, she saw Stonekit hesitating by the nursery. 

"I'm not so sure about this..." He mumbled.

"It will be fine," Icekit reassured him, her amber eyes glittering with excitement. Reluctantly, Stonekit followed his sisters out of camp.

Lightkit felt she was making the biggest decision of her life as she took the first paw step out of camp. She gasped, frozen in awe. The birds were singing, their calls echoing around the forest. The leaves made strangely beautiful sounds as they blew in the breeze. The undergrowth rustled in the wind, and colorful flowers seemed to bloom everywhere. She sighed happily, just standing for a moment as she took in the beauty. 

"This way!" Icekit's voice broke into her thoughts. Lightkit turned around to spot her sister sniffing the ground. 

Stonekit purred in amusement. "You look like a dog!" As if on cue, as he spoke, a low growling sounded from the trees.

Lightkit swallowed. "I don't think we need Icekit acting like a dog." She whispered. Amber eyes flashed in the bushes. "Run!"
