Training From Wilddragon

Squiddy rushed over to Wilddragon. "Wilddragon! I want to be the strongest in the world! Can you please train me? I know the whole alien thing is coming closer, but it's still "

"Of course, my dear Animalcolm!" Wilddragon placed her hand, palm up, in front of him, and he jumped on it. Wilddragon lifted him and petted him, close to her heart. "To become stronger, you must train."

"Of course!" Squiddy nodded his head. "Let's train!"

...

"All right, Squiddy. Take a look at the training equipment."

Squiddy scanned the giant space in the Elements Gym. Every part of it, it was rugged with training equipment for Octos.

"Squiddy, follow me. We're going to start with aiming first." Wilddragon went to a part of the gym and showed him the archery boards and the moving targets, then pointed to the gun that shot some tiny seeds. "Today, we're going to start with the archery boards and the moving targets, and then when you're more advanced, we will work on the gun that shoots seeds."

Squiddy went to stand behind a line far from the archery board and transformed into Typhoonbringer. He aimed with his trident and shot a narrow beam of water. The water sailed in the air and hit the two rings outside bull's eye. "Great." he groaned.

"Nice, Typh! That is already going good for a beginner!" Wilddragon called.

After a few more tries, he finally hit bull's eye—dead center. "YES!" he hollered, pumping his trident in the air up and down.  He tried again and hit it again. After ten times of not hitting outside the bull's eye, Wilddragon nodded.

"Squiddy, time for the moving targets. Here's a hint: Your powers need time to reach the target, so I suggest you practice what speed your power goes."

Typh pointed at a moving target, but by the time the power reached the area where the target once was, it was already gone. He calculated the time. "About 1.5 seconds to get there."

"Alright, you have to try predicting where the opponent goes."

Typh looked at a target it seemed like it was going in a circle. He chose the exact moment to shoot a beam of water. The water hit the target and it got blasted off the stand.

"Good!" Wilddragon exclaimed. "Do it a few more times."

One minute dragged to two. Then to an hour. Typh was still in the gym, training hard. He had moved from aiming to Power, where he had to unleash a lot of power to degenerate the clay monsters-turned-alive surrounding him to dust. After he mastered that, he went on to Speed, where he had to run on a ramp, grab a flag stuck in the floor, and run through a hole in the wall at the far wall to escape the huge stone looming down on him.

"ARGH!!" Typh snarled as the clay monsters surrounded him, raising their weapons to strike. Wilddragon watched patiently and intently. He gathered in his energy, then let it explode, like a supernova. He heard grunts from the clay monsters as they disinigerated. Wilddragon nodded and let him do it more times, then let him go to the speed test.

Typh rushed towards the red flag, his eyes focused on it. The noise of the humungous stone rushing towards him faded to a hum, as he snatched the flag and sprinted back with all his might. He leapt through the hole, and the rock slammed into the wall, the wall shuddering with the force.

"ALL DONE TYPH!" Wilddragon swept her hand and the training equipment redid itself, so it looked like he didn't even touch it. "You may rest."

"Thank you!" Typh bowed, and felt himself returning to her Token.
