Part 1 About Squeaky Clean Book Club

I have a confession to make. I don't like to read bad words. When I write, I won't put them in my stories. But it's very hard to find books without them here on Wattpad.

I'm not going to hate on people who write that way because I have no right to tell other writers how to write. There are probably a lot of good writers out there I will never read because of bad language and bedroom scenes. I don't comment about it because that's their work and a lot of readers do want to read more 'realistic' fiction.

But I have a feeling I'm not alone in my quest for the squeakiest, cleanest fiction out there.

So here's a proposition for you. A book club where any member can vote a story out if it doesn't meet his or her standards. Or, we can include categories for various degrees of inclusion of bad words for readers who aren't as picky. I'll let this new community vote on it.

The definition of 'squeaky clean' will vary. That's okay! One person's 'bad word' might not be another's. After all, there are certain 'bad words' in the Bible, so some folks might consider them okay.

I'm not here to judge my fellow members.

I just want to read some stories that fit my standards, not impose my standards on others. The only hard and fast rule here, is, no Mature stories. Authors who write both Mature and not-Mature are ok as long as the book we're reading is not Mature.

Are you with me?

Feel free to comment on what you feel this book club should be all about, and if you really don't like the name I came up with, feel free to put forth another name.

Let's talk about this!

And please do read the Wattpad Content Guidelines that govern all us Wattpaders. Especially for you writers who aren't sure whether to put a Mature tag on your story.https://support.wattpad.com/hc/en-us/articles/200774334-Content-Guidelines
