Case 3: Game of Choice

Rima's POV

Malakas ang buhos ng ulan sa labas na mas lalong nakakapagpalabo sa windshield ng sasakyan ni Skyler. Bawat kalye na madaanan namin parang lumulundag ang puso ko sa kaba. Hindi ko rin maiwasang mag alala para kay Sky. Ano kayang iniisip niya sa mga oras na toh? If only I can take away the worries and steady his heart.

"Stop looking at me like that Rima. I'm fine." walang pasabi siyang nagsalita as if like naririnig niya ang sinasabi ko.

I sighed and unbuckled my seatbelt tsaka ko siya niyakap. He stepped on the brakes that stopped the car.

A long pause was all there is to it. I can hear his heartbeat racing as the raindrops became heavy from outside the car.

"I know we don't have much time to be slacking off and hugging but just give me a minute." bulong ko habang nakayakap lang sa kanya. His scent was so manly as ever. Hindi ko mapigilang hindi pansinin iyon.

"Rima kung pwede lang tumigil ang oras, I can stay like this with you forever." Naramdaman ko ang kamay niya sa ulo ko.

Lumayo na ako at ngumiti sa kanya. He smiled back. Ewan pero I feel like he calmed down a bit than earlier.

"You want to kick some druglord a ss?" I said while smirking. Natawa nalang si Sky at mabilis na pinaandar ang sasakyan.

Mabilis na pinatakbo ni Skyler ang kotse sa freeway. Judging from how we're doing, aabot kami sa lugar na iyon. Walang masyadong traffic at kalmado ang daan.

*bang!*

Napayuko kami ng marinig namin ang gunshot na iyon. Skyler had to maneuver his car from side to side.

"Sh1t!" he cussed as soon as we both saw another car tailing us. May isang lalaki rin na nakalabas ang ulo at may hawak na baril.

Umilaw ang radio transmitter namin. "I spy, two spies, trying to run away from naughty bullets." narinig kong muli ang boses ni Ruru Genesis. Nawala iyon kasabay ang pagtawa niya.

"That son of a—"

"Ahhh!!!" napasigaw ako ng makarinig na naman ako ng putok ng baril. Nasira na ang salamin sa likod ng sasakyan ni Skyler. He then pushed my head as if telling me to hide under the dashboard. "S-Sky!" I called.

"Just hide under there!"

I pouted at hindi ko iyon ginawa. Kinuha ko kaagad yung baril ni Sky na nakalagay sa tabi niya at binuksan ang bintana.

"What are you doing?!"

"I'm not going to hide and be some stupid damsel, Sky. You know me well to let me do that!"

I saw him rolled his eyes and smiled. "Okay then babe, kick some ass." sabi nito at agad naman akong lumabas ng bintana at inasinta ang mga nasa likod namin.

Maulan pa rin pero sanay na sanay na ako sa ganitong barilan. A moving target is such a delight for me dahil may thrill ito unlike a target who doesn't even move.

I fired one shot, agad pumasok ang lalaki sa loob ng sasakyan nila. I aimed for their tire. Sapul ko naman iyon at nagpaikot ikot sila sa freeway pero hindi parin sila natinag. Lumabas ulit ang lalaki at agad nagpaputok. I have to find cover and reload my gun. Agad akong bumalik sa position ko and fired three shots na tumama sa kamay at braso ng lalaki na nagpatumba sa kanya. Nahulog siya sa kotse at napangiti ako kahit pa basang basa na ako.

"Ohhh yeah!!! Eat my bullets!!!" masaya kong sigaw pero natigil din ako ng makita ko ang driver na inilabas ang baril niya at nagpaputok din.

Skyler turned the car para makailag ako. Agad kong kinasa ang baril ko at inasinta ulit ang gulong sa harapan. Tumama ito at nagpagewang gewang na lalo ang kotse. Binaril ko rin ang hood ng sasakyan niya. Umuusok na ito at napatigil ko na. Hinampas ko ang bubong ng sasakyan ni Sky.

"Sky! Drive faster!!!" sabi ko at agad pumasok sa loob at inantay ang pagsabog ng sasakyan.

Nakita namin sa rear view mirror ang isang napakalaking inferno fire na gawa ng pagsabog ng sasakyan ng mga bumabaril samin.

I felt relieved. Ang tagal ng katahimikan after that pero hindi ko mapigilan ang adrenaline rush sakin. Ako na ang bumasag sa katahimikan.

"Oh yeaaaaaah! Nakita mo ba yun Sky??! Parang daig ko pa yung sa mga James Bond moviesss!!! That was so awesome!!!" excited kong sabi.

Natatawa nalang si Skyler saken. "Yes, yes. You are awesome." sabi niya habang napapailing.

Tumingin kami sa oras na nakaflash sa monitor ng radio transmitter. 20:01. Ten minutes na lang!

Skyler stepped on the gas and drive as fast as he can until we reach the dock. Dito kami dinala ng gps ni Skyler. Sa isang warehouse na nasa tabi ng dagat. May mga nakatambak na trucks at cargos. Pero kapansin-pansin na walang tao. Skyler pulled out his gun and unbuckled his seatbelt.

"Rima, ikaw ang back up. I will call your attention if I need a back up."

Aalma pa sana ako pero mas okay nga kung ganoon. Kung sabay kaming papasok, pupwedeng may kung anong sorpresa na naman ang Ruru Genesis na iyon. We can't afford any flaws. Hawak nila si Chiefy and we need to be cooperative with each other.

"I understand. But—"

"I will take care." he cupped my cheeks and kissed my forehead. "I love you Rima."

"I love you too Sky. Please be safe."

"You too." hinawakan niya ng mahigpit ang kamay ko and then kissed it. Huminga siya ng malalim bago bumitaw at humarap sa warehouse.

Pinanuod ko siyang tumakbo palayo. Dahan-dahan siyang pumasok sa warehouse. Naiwan ako sa labas, somehow praying that everything will be alright when I heard a beep sound inside the car. I went to check it out and saw the monitor in Sky's radio transmitter flashed and opened.

"Care to play another game while Abalos is not around, Rima Dela Vega?"

Skyler's POV

I try to not worry too much of all the things that's happening. I need to rescue Chief first and then I can think of the rest. I must keep everyone safe from Ruru Genesis, yun lang ang palagi kong iniisip.

I saw two guards roaming around the second floor. I hid under the huge boxes and checked if m revolver is ready. I walked slowly and I had to check the two guards from time to time. One of the guards saw me and aimed but I was faster. Nagtago ako kaagad sa malalaking cases na gawa sa bakal while trying to find a nice and clean shot.

I found it and hit the other guard. Tumakbo kaagad ako sa taas and found them both lying on the ground. I searched the whole area and the last door was at the very end of the hallway. Ang cliche, hindi ba pwedeng sa unang kwarto naman minsan yung ililigtas para hindi sayang sa oras? Tss.

Binuksan ko iyon and found Chief tied up and had his mouth covered. I smiled to see him pero he was shaking his head and somehow wants to say something. I heard something behind me creeked and ducked quickly. Nakailag ako and luckily I grab hold of his arm and twist it. Itinutok ko kaagad and revolver ko sa ulo ng lalaki but as I did that, I felt a cold metal pointing my back.

"Game of choice. Who shall it be?" narinig kong may nagsalita sa likod ko.

"Ruru Genesis!" sigaw ko habang hawak pa rin ang isa sa mga tauhan niya at ramdam ko pa rin ang nakatutok na baril sa likuran ko. Hindi ako makagalaw.

"Have you made a choice?" hindi ko maintindihan kung anong pinagsasabi niya. "Good." I heard him chuckled and biglang nawala ang malamig na baril sa likuran ko. I pointed the gun at my back and turned around pero wala ng tao.

Sinuntok ko nalang ang lalaking hawak ko at nawalan ito agad ng malay. Tumakbo ako palapit kay Chief at tinanggal ang tali sa kamay at bibig niya.

"May kausap siya sa phone!" sabi ni Chief as soon as I untied him.

"Sino? Si Ruru Genesis?"

"Oo! May kausap siya. Asan si Rima?" tanong agad ni Chief.

"Nasa labas— don't tell me—"

Nagkatinginan kami ni Chief at kaagad na tumakbo palabas ng warehouse. Naabutan namin si Rima na nakasandal pa rin sa kotse at nakangiting sumalubong sa aming dalawa.

"Chiefy! Sky!" niyakap niya kaming dalawa. "Thank God nakalabas kayo ng maayos!"

"Rima did someone called you? Nakipagcommunicate ba ulit si Ruru Genesis?"

Rima shook her head. "Hindi. May nangyari ba sa loob?" she asked the both of us.

"W-Wala naman. Never mind. Tara." sumakay na kaming tatlo. Hindi namin ala kung saan pupunta but I'm glad both of them are safe.

We heard a frequency jam sa radio transmitter. Here comes Ruru Genesis.

"Congratulations for completing my I Spy game. Your official time is 29:34. Almost had it." we heard him laugh.

"Shut the fck up Genesis! Turn yourself over to FDD!" inis na sabi ni Chief na nakaupo sa likuran.

"Not just yet! Maglalaro pa tayo! Since the first game was completed by Skyler Abalos, the next game will be played by Rima Dela Vega!" nanlaki ang mata ko at agad akong tumingin kay Rima.

She was holding a gun and she pointed the gun at me. She was crying. "Stop the car!" she yelled at me while pointing her gun.

"R-Rima!" I tried to talk to her but she seemed uninterested.

"I said STOP THE CAR! NOW!" I had no choice but to stepped on the brakes. I looked at her and she pointed the gun at me straight up.

"Rima..."

"The next game is Game of Choice. Make a choice, make your choice! Nyahahaha!" gusto kong suntukin ang radio transmitter but I had to calm myself down. It's the only communication we have with Ruru Genesis. I think I'll save my punches when I get my hands on him.

"I choose myself." Rima said as she pulls her gun and points it on her head.

"Rima!" pipigilan pa sana ni Chief si Rima pero I stopped him. I looked at Rima and smiled.

"Don't be scared. Everything will be alright. Okay, Rima? Play the game. I trust you." I said, which made her cry.

Binuksan niya ang pintuan ng kotse and she stepped out of the car while her gun was still pointed on her own head. Biglang may mga dumating na kotse at agad itinali si Rima at ipinasok sa van.

As soon as the cars left bigla akong binatukan ni Chief. "You stupid ignorant talk sht! Look what you've done! Pati si Rima hostage na din ni Ruru Genesis!"

"If we stopped her, she will pull that trigger no matter what."

Natigilan si Chief sa sinabi ko. "Pero—"

"Kausap ni Ruru Genesis si Rima kanina sa loob ng warehouse. The choice was already made doon palang. If she chose not to become a hostage, malamang binaril niya na ako. But he did not, ibig sabihin, Rima chose to be the hostage as well. We have to track her down." agad kong kinuha ang phone ko and access the tracking device na inilagay ko kay Rima.

Lumapit si Chief sa tabi ko and he was obviously impressed. "That was neat. Sige na. Magaling ka na." he said.

"Yes. Alam ko, because even if everyone else fails, I don't. Now let's kick Ruru Genesis' ass so we can continue this pre-emptive honeymoon of yours!" I stepped on the gas and drive as fast as I can while following the tracker.

Wait for me, Rima. Babawiin din kita.

Sorry for the long hold. It took me some months to write action again. Nasanay na kasi ako sa teen fic at fantasy! Haha. Well, we still have two more updates for S*S specials. I wonder what will happen? Hahaha.
