Mike's POV:
Zoe had always loved cute stuff. Kittens, puppies, bunnies, turtles, hamsters, baby animals, etc.

She was really supportive and I wanted to get her something. 

So I made her put on a blindfold and drove her somewhere.

"Mike, why do I have to put this on?"

"It's a surprise."

"You better not be trying to scare me."

"Trust me."

She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it.

"Don't you trust me?"

"... yeah okay. But if you're trying to scare me..."

"I'm not. Now get in."

I opened her door and helped her in.

I drove carefully and not too fast to make sure she didn't get too scared.

I saw the sign marked 'Petco' and parked.

I helped her out and slowly walked her to the back.

"Mike? Where are you taking me?"

I talked to the person working there and said it was Mike, could she bring her out.

She nodded and brought a small animal and put her into my arms.

"I want you to meet someone."

"Uh... okay, who?"

"Sadie."

I took off her blindfold and showed her the animal in my arms.

Her face lit up as she saw the adorable German Shepard puppy with blue eyes.

"Mike... you did not."

I put my arm around her shoulders.

"I did."

She smiled and put her head on my shoulder.

"She's all yours."

"No way! Ohmygosh can we take her home, er- to your apartment?"

"Of course. And mi casa es su casa, especially considering you stayed with me for the past month."

"And mi perrita es su perrita." She smirked.

I laughed and shook my head.

"All we gotta do is sign some papers and go have fun."

"Sweet! Thank you Mike."

"No, thank you for being there for me and staying with me while Ben as hospitalized. Meant a lot to me."

"Anytime."

We signed all the stuff and bought toys, food, bowls, and a bed for her.

Finally, we took her home.

We sat on the couch quietly after playing for a while. Soon Zoe and Sadie fell asleep on me, leaving me no choice but to sleep as well. Everybody knows you don't move if your girl falls asleep on you, and same goes for puppies. Appreciate the adorable little thing on you and whatever you do, DON'T MOVE.

Okay so one more update and I'm caught up on this book. After that, there will be one final chapter, and an epilogue. The book's final updates are this coming Friday :(
