Academy of espionage

1700 hours

January 4th

Bens POV

The paintball whizzed over my head. that was close, I thought. I shot back, like a stealth ninja, I quickly dodged all the paintballs and headed to where bull's eye was. I was Ben, in my 3rd year, a math genius, and having an all on crush on Erica, the dream of my life.

I quickly and slowly made my way up behind the hill. I could see bull's eye in the distance, trying to shoot someone with his paintball gun.

We were doing our SACSA exams in spy school. Where Junior says get to be trained to be a spy.

I had been recruited to spy school three years ago and have thwarted many plans of SPYDER, the most devious and evil organization. I had prevented them so much it was hard to count.

I had been improving these days. I now went to the firing range more often, and my skills in combat were getting pretty good. I slowly crept behind the hill and hid behind the snow fort that Zoe and Mike were making. She was a friend of mine, and Mike was one of my best friends since my childhood. Our plan was working.

"ok," I said. "To get bull's eye from here, someone needs to make a distraction, like last time when Warren did it."

Zoe made a disgusting face. 

"ugh Warren, I hate him."  

"hmm, should I be the distractor?" Mike said confidently.

 "Sure, I guess, now me and Zoe will slowly crawl into the hill, and shoot the butt off of bull's eye, and get the flag, understand?"

They both nodded, and we got our plan started. I hoped it worked. I saw Mike running in the distance, and screaming, which made bull's eye and the people guarding the flag dropped their guard and shot Mike. He was very skilled though, more experienced than Warren, and he rarely got hit by the snowballs when bull's eye sniped him in the rear end. "hey! that was karma!" 

Bull's eye looked around, confused. We slowly went up the hill and was about to shoot bull's eye. I made some quick calculations and reloaded my paintball gun, then was about to explode when...

...Erica jumped from behind and scared the pants out of me. She took a paintball machine gun and shot it at the people guarding the flag. Everybody on the hill was all coated with red.

Erica had beaten us again! She did this last time too, and I had never shot bull's eye. Erica took the flag from the blue team and then headed to our base. Everybody cheered for Erica.

Like last time.

Although I didn't hate Erica (I had a major crush on her), it was just annoying that she got the jump on me. Well, she is Erica. I mean Erica Hale, her family dating back into the revolutionary war. She was a legacy. She had raven black hair and beautiful blue eyes.

And she also smelled like lilacs and gunpowder.

She was usually cold and icy. But when she met me, the snow caps started to melt. And she wasn't that Icy as usual. We even kissed once back in a mission in Vail. But she was still icy as usual.

Soon later, I went to my classes. I went to self-preservation 101. where I met with Zoe and Mike. Erica was there too. And surprisingly, the ice queen seemed to have changed her behavior. She was sort of acting warm.

after all these classes, we soon went to the mess hall, and that's when the speaker announced: can "Ben Ripley and Erica Hale and his friends, please report to the office."

As usual, there were oooh's and ahh's as someone had been in big trouble. To me, Mike, Zoe, and Erica headed towards the principal's office.

Or let's just say the idiot's office. He still had the closet desk room, which was so idiotically funny. We sat in our seats. And to my surprise, Catherine and Alexander were there, but no Cyrus. That was confusing. Cyrus was the one who usually operated the missions. And Alexander was in the merge of tears.

Catherine was sad too.

Although Alexander got a lot of muscles, that was super strange. I never saw him work out.

 Since we defeated SPYDER once and for all, Alexander and Catherine had the same respect, and it was like the divorce was tearing apart, and becoming love.

Catherine even taught Alexander on some fighting skills. And he was doing a decent job at it.

"um, what's going on?" Mike asked.

the only thing Alexander said was: "he got kidnapped" "who got kidnapped?" Erica said, growing worried.

"your granddaddy." the idiot replied. Now Erica was even sadder and shocked than Catherine and Alexander combined.

"It is believed that SPYDER took him," Catherine said. "wait, I thought we defeated SPYDER once and for all?"

"Ms. E escaped jail somehow, and I think she's in the base on Alaska."

"ALASKA?" Zoe said.

"yes, and we need to save him and leave immediately tomorrow." 

Zoe and Mike looked at each other, excitedly "were going on a mission!" they said.

"The mission for the sake of Cyrus," Catherine said. But, Cyrus sent us a message before he was kidnapped.

she took her phone out and then showed it to us

If SPYDER kidnapped me, I would be fine.

"Are you sure it's him?" I said. "I think SPYDER hacked into his account and said that: Zoe replied.

"no, I am sure it was him, he made a special digit system with the help of Orion to make his account unhackable."

"but if SPYDER blackmails Orion, won't he tell the secret code password to get into the account?"

"Orion didn't make the password for Cyrus," Cathrine said. "he only made the program to make it unhackable, Cyrus only knows the password."

"I thought my dad hated electronics," Alexander said.

 "If Cyrus says he's fine, he is fine," Erica replied.

Her worries gave away and were replaced with a happy smile.

"um, Erica." I said. "you do know that your grandfather is kidnapped."

 "yes, I know that, but he says he's going to be fine. for my grandfather, it means he is going to be."

"yeah, but this mission is serious."

"I know its serious, so let's go get some transport to get to Alaska."

Mike and Zoe chimed in, and we were preparing to go to SPYDER. Right into it.

"right into operation life Saver."
