Surveillance

Since Mike and Zoe were not part of the mission, they had to sleep in my room. The room wasn't very big, and someone had to sleep on the floor, every day. It was days since something exciting happened. I was dragged out of bed by someone in a black suit. She yanked the mask, and I was face to face with Erica, I blushed. Erica blushed a little too, which struck to me as odd. She then told me, "Get Changed!"

        "Why?"

"Surveillance."

I ran off into the bathroom the only private place in this cramped hotel room. I had come back only seconds later. We had gone out of the hotel. It wasn't easy at first, because employees were still out there. We had to crawl on our knees and go through the doors when no one was looking. When we had finally gotten out of there, it was midnight.

"Where are we going?" I asked Erica.

"Somewhere," Erica responded not fully answering the question.

After miles of running, we had reached our destination.

The Big Ben clock tower. I honestly gasped in surprise and toppled over. I sprawled on the wet sidewalk. I was soaking wet. Typical me. Erica was way ahead. I could barely do anything when I caught up to her. But she ran well ahead of that. Then I could see what she was planning. there was a crane store a few miles away. She jumped on the crane seating, and I sat in shotgun.

When we had malfunctioned the crane, we operated it to go to the clock. We walked on the chain that held the magnet, and eventually sat on the big, black magnet. We jumped onto the Big Ben. Erica made it elegantly. I meanwhile failed the jump and began falling to Great Britain's clean sidewalks. I had grabbed for a metal frame. I grasped the 33 one down. My plan started sweating, and I was losing my grasp on it. Thankfully, I managed to find an open handle a few feet away. I leaped onto that and began climbing away. When I finally reached the top. Erica was still there, waiting for me. "Too dramatic for you, huh?"

           "What are we doing here?"

           "We're going inside the clock."

"Why!" I exclaimed.

            "Shush, I'll explain it later."

When we worked our way through the clock, there was one wheel, which was turning faster than usual.

"Erica, there's this wheel..."

"Stand back! It's gonna blow.

"Huh?!"

I blinked my eyes and turned unconscious when the wheel blew up.

I blinked my eyes open 4 hours later. A normal kid would never have known that, but I wasn't normal. I had extreme math skills, and could easily, figure out how long I have been out cold.

Plus, I had experience. Spyder had knocked me unconscious many times before. Too many times to count. I shook all of these thoughts off of my head and looked at where I was. There were quartz tiles and black walls. I notice Erica lying next to me, still unconscious. I walked out of the door and walked through the halls. Well, at least some of it. The halls were destroyed and filled with dirt. I felt something bothering me about this place. I realized it when I walked outside. There were a swimming pool and a few broken balance beams. The pool was muddy and looked contagious. This was Spyder's old headquarters.

A million questions popped up in my head. Before I had a chance to answer them, I noticed Erica walk out of the door as well. She seemed to already know where we were. I asked her the second she came.

"Why are we in New Jersey?"

"I honestly don't know."

I noticed something stuck in my sweatshirt. "We're back, Ben. And we're stronger than ever." I didn't know what to think after that. I already knew who sent that. I just wondered how they did it. Right near us was a plane fully dismantled. That kinda answered the question.

Erica had a flinch if the eye and said, "Come'n we're going to the plane."

"Where exactly?"

Erica gave me a "Your an idiot signs." "Inside of course."

"Why?" I asked incredulously. The plane was broken into a million pieces..

Another look. "What do you think! To look for legos." My face reddened. I followed Erica as she ran to the plane. When we came, we both heard chatter.

"No, Glasgow will work."

"Edinburgh is enough."

"Glasgow has a hotel."

"So Edinburgh has one too."

"I meant an evil one."

"What's its name?"

"Glassy Stays."

"Sound good."

They both ran off near wherever they were going.

I asked Erica, "Do we have to go to Glasgow."

"Looks like we do."

And thats how a nice trip turn into something horrible.
