Chapter 21: More Training

Chapter 21: More Training

Kristoff's POV

After Weaponry Training, we had Sneak Attacks Training, trained by the one and only Count Dracula. "Well, this will be delightful," Flynn said sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

We gathered outside the Sneak Building, just outside of the castle, yes, unoriginal name, and yes, we have a building just for sneak around, and saw Bunny standing in front with the Count. It didn't surprise us. Bunny was the trainer for the Moons for Sneak Attacks. He was a pro at them. Never did any of us saw him coming. Bunny must have somehow argued his way into training the Moons as well.

"Today, we will be working on how to sneak around a huge, unfamiliar building, while trying to locate the item in one of these rooms, within a certain time limit," the Count said in his weird accent, wasting no time at all.

"You will all be given one gadget each, and you would have to use it to your advantage around the building. For the benefit of the Royals, who have not yet to use this building," Bunny interrupted. The Count gave an undignified 'hmph'. "This building was built to change its architecture on the inside, while the outside remains the same. It is used to train agents to navigate around an unknown building in times of which one has no clue at all about the building, and what's inside it.

"You will all be given 20 minutes to get in and out of there. Inside, you have to retrieve a flash drive that will contain your score. The moment you come out with it, it will tell if you passed the test, But remember, an agent always expects the unexpected. There will be a few 'guards' in there. You are not to be spotted by any of them. Do not sound the alarm," Bunny continued.

"You will be going in as a pair, so pair up," Count Dracula finally got a word in when Bunny finished.

"Flynn, you and me, bro?" I asked him.

"Well duh," he laughed. Around us, I saw everyone pairing up. Jack with Elsa, obviously. Hiccup paired up with Hiro. Two tech geeks together. I looked to the Royals, and saw Merida and Astrid teaming up, along with Punzie and Anna.

My gazed lingered on Anna a bit longer. Her blues eyes, and enchanting smile had got me staring.

"Alright, is everyone paired up?" the Count asked.

"Nope," Jonny said, raising his hands.

"Same here," I saw a girl with jet black hair, and was wearing very gothic clothes and makeup. I recognised her as Mavis, the Count's daughter.

"Is anyone willing to give up their partner, and pair up with Mavis?" the Count asked immediately. I smirked. Protective father alert!

"Dad," the girl smiled. "I can handle myself." She walked over to Jonny, and glared. "Don't you dare mess this up for me."

"Yes, mam!" Jonny saluted her goofily. Mavis rolled her eyes, but we all could see that a smile was tugging at her lips. I looked back to see that the Count's eye was twitching.

Before he could say anything, Bunny cut in, "Alright, everyone's paired up, and we can start. Flynn, you and Kristoff start first."

"Here's your gadget," Count said coldly as he gestured to the box on the table.

"Ready Bro?" I asked turning to Flynn.

"Always," he smirked. We ran into the building, Flynn snatching up the gadget on his way. We entered the building, and instantly, it was like time came to a standstill. The clean, white walls of the building gave an eerie feeling. The deadly silence always gave me the chills.

Immediately, I heard footsteps. Flynn heard it too, and we ran to the door with the words 'Janitor's Closet' on it.

We hid inside, and I heard the footsteps walk past the door. They were probably the robots that were programmed to be the 'guards' of the building.

"So, what's the gadget?" I asked. Flynn opened the box. We gaped at the gadget inside.

"A paperclip?" Flynn asked incredulously.

"How helpful," I said, rolling my eyes. A paperclip is hardly considered a gadget. Well, unless you work in an office that is.

"Great, so what do we do know?" Flynn asked.

"Scout the building," I said. Cautiously we opened the door, and slid out of the room. Slowly, we passed through corridor after corridor along the first few floors.

"Strange, there aren't any more doors, except for the janitors' closet," Flynn commented quietly.

"Let's go up," I said, and opened the door towards the stairs that go up. We scout the building, but there weren't that many doors. Each time we found one, we would listen quietly before opening.

We reached the fifth level, after scouting the other levels. As soon as I opened the door, I saw at least a dozen robot 'guards' standing along the corridor. Quietly, I closed the door, and faced Flynn. "What now?"

"We go my way," he said, pointing to the air vent. Great, I hate climbing through vents.

"Come on," Flynn said, yanking the metal cover. "Let's go." With that, he climbed in, and I followed him with a sigh.

The vent was big enough for us, but, it had this weird stench. Which in my opinion, smells worse than Sven's waste. Another reason why I hate vents is that, I am always so lost inside. That's why Flynn is always in front of me when we climb through vents.

Soon we reached a crossroad, and without a pause, Flynn went straight on. I have no idea on how he navigates around these things.

After passing through who knows how many crossroads, I saw a light at the end of the vent. Flynn stopped there, and raised three fingers. I tapped his heel once as a signal that I understood. Then I tapped both of his shoes twice. He tapped on the vent wall very lightly, twice.

It was the communication system that Flynn and I developed a few years ago.

Fingers raised means guards.
Two taps on two identical things means, 'Is the target there?'
One tap on something means 'Yes'.
Two taps on something means 'No'.

Then he started climbing backwards, so I did the same. We went back to the last crossroad, and Flynn went the opposite way. We came to a rest, and Flynn started whispering. "There were three guards, but I don't see the target. The flash drive was nowhere to be seen."

"Then, why would they have a room with three guards in it?"

"I don't know, why don't you go up and have a look?" he asked. I nodded, and quickly climbed through the vent again, and towards the light.

Through the metal cover slits, I could see the robot guards in their white, metallic suit, and holding rifles in their hands. Those aren't real rifles that shoot real bullets. The shoot paint, so in case they spot you, and you get shot, we can tell. But once they shoot, they'll trigger the alarm.

I scanned the room. There was a table with a computer on it, but I couldn't see a flash drive anywhere. The table was scattered with things such as a wallet, a phone, a book, a few pens, a half-eaten banana... Wait! Why is there a black rectangular looking thing sticking out of the banana?!

I smiled. Gotcha!

I quickly slid back to Flynn, who was still at the crossroad, looking hard at the paperclip. "I found the drive. It's in that half eaten banana on the table. And we're going to need this little guy to help us getting," I said, taking the paperclip from him.

"Good, because we only have 10 minutes left!" Flynn said. Quickly, I took out some string I found in the janitors closet, and tied the paperclip to it. I pulled the metal of the paperclip to make it turn into a hook.

"There, you can probably get that banana with this," I said. He took the 'fishing hook' that I sort of made, and quickly climbed towards the vent. Knowing Flynn, he'll get the job done. So I started making my way back towards the vent opening that we came in through. "I meet you at the first level," I whispered. He gave me a thumb up, and we went our separate ways.

Flynn's POV

I looked through the vent opening, and saw the banana that Kristoff was talking about. So that's where the flash drive was hidden!

Slowly I pushed opened the cover – which I had unscrewed – and climbed out. These robots are really stupid. They're programmed to go in a certain pattern, unless they are alarmed, or some idiot go and set them off.

I climbed along the walls, jumping from the vent, towards the top of a bookcase. It was my specialty. So be able to sneak around without being seen. They don't call me Thief for nothing.

Swiftly, from the bookcase, I tossed the hook towards the half eaten banana. It hooked onto the flesh, and I reeled it in slowly, stopping every time a guard turned. I looked at my watch, four minutes left! Finally, the banana was in my hands, and I pulled the flash drive out.

I swung myself back to the vent, and quickly climbed through the metallic tunnels. When I was out, I rushed down the stairs, jumping down over the handles.

One minute left. I saw Kris at the door. He was gesturing for me to hurry up. 20 seconds left.

I ran as fast as I could, and both of us rushed out of the building. "We did it!" Kristoff said.

"And just in time too," Bunny said, looking at the timer on the big screen on the building. Which is also how the other agents were able to see what we did inside the building.

"Awesome job!" Jack said.

"Great use of the paperclip," Hiccup said.

"Yeah, it's not the best gadget, but it worked," Flynn shrugged.

"Alright, next, the Royals will you how they do it," Count Dracula said. "Agent Arendelle and Corona."

Anna's POV

Punzie and I slipped through the doors of the building, and immediately, we were swallowed by darkness. The only things lighting up the hallways were very dim lights. It felt as if we were in some dark castle. The exact opposite of the building that Kristoff and Flynn had entered.

I opened the box that I held in my hands. "A grappling hook. Well, at least it's better than a paperclip," I said. I saw Punzie smile in the dim light.

"What should we do now?" Punzie asked.

"We should started looking around for a door or something," I said. We stealthily started sneaking down the hallway. We stuck to the walls, hidden in the shadows.

Suddenly, Punzie pulled me back, just as I was about to round the corner. It was then I heard very quiet footsteps. We stuck to the wall as two 'guards' walked past us. Wow... they look so weird... yet awesome.

When they were well past us, we continued our way. We scoured the whole building within less than 10 minutes. There weren't many guards around. In a situation like this, they must be very sure that the target is safe. That means...

"We have to look for the flash drive in someplace where no one would imagine on hiding," Punzie whispered, ending my thoughts for me.

"Right... but where?" I asked. Just then, we climbed up another flight of steps. I opened the door, and found myself inside a very small room. But the room seems brighter than the whole building, but it was more of a shaft. I looked up and saw there was brightly lit room at the top of the shaft. "There."

"On it," I heard Punzie said. I saw her about to swing her hair up to a beam hanging from the top. But, just then, I saw something.

"No wait," I said.

"What?" Punzie asked confused. I pointed to a black looking machine by the side of the walls. They were all over the walls. Lasers. "Oh."

"How are we going to get up there?" she asked.

"Like this," I said, and pointed the grappling hook at one of the lasers. One by one, I shot the grappling hook, hooking onto the machine, and pulling it out of the wall, disabling it. But the time I was done, there were a few dozen or so of those machines on the floor around us.

"Go Anna!" Punzie said, giggling. Then she swung herself up with her hair.

She reached the top, and I saw her reach over to the room. A second later, the flash drive was in her hands, and she slid down.

"Great, let's go! 5 minutes left," I said.

We ran, avoiding all the guards, and went towards the exit. But, twenty feet away from the door, the floor started rising at a rapid speed.

"What's going on?" I asked, as I tried to keep my balance.

"Run!" Punzie said. We started running as fast as we could. The door was just a few metres away, and the floor was already halfway up, we had to crawl our way towards the door.

"Come on! We can make it!" I exclaimed.

We made it out just in time, before the floor could squash us against the ceiling. Punzie and I tumbled out of the door, and onto the dirt ground outside.

The Royals and Moons were cheering.

"We thought you wouldn't make it!" Merida said, running towards us.

"Well, we did," Punzie laughed.

"Well done, ladies," Count congratulated.

"Thank you Count," I thanked. Just then the Moon with the weird Bunny name came up to us.

"I'm impressed. You made it out even though you triggered the alarm," he said.

"We did?!" Punzie and I exclaimed.

"Yes, when you pulled the lasers out of the wall. That triggered the alarm. Although I would never have though you could use your hair as a grappling hook," he said, smiling.

"Thanks," Punzie said.

"Alright, next! Hiro and Hiccup!"

*****

Punzie's POV

Sneak Attack was pretty fun. That building was rather exciting. It was like working on the field! Most of us passed, and got out in less than 20 minutes, except for a few.

Next we had Hand-on-Hand Combat. Which was trained by Stoick, and... the Big 5 Moons. This will be interesting...

As we were walking towards the training room, I felt as if someone was staring at me. It was weird. I turned around, but no one was looking at me. My gaze landed on a particular tall guy with brown eyes, and a goatee.

His eyes connected with mine, and I could not help but stare. He's really cute. And his cute brown eyes... I think I'm melting.

He smirked, and I snapped out of my daze. I could feel heat rising up my cheeks as I entered the training room. Yes, I have a huge crush on him! I mean, who wouldn't? He's just so dreamy...

Once we were all in the training room, Elsa, Jack, Flynn, Kristoff and Hiccup stood at the front with the huge guy, Stoick.

"Alright, today, we will be training in the style of a wrestling match," Stoick boomed. The Moons cheered at that, while we Royals are just standing there, like confused ducks, which we are kind of confused.

"In these," Elsa said, pointing to two large bowls with a lot of white papers inside each. "All of your names are in it. Stoick and I will pick a piece of paper each, and whoever's name is called, will fight against each other."

Astrid raised her hand. "But what if the person you picked out is two times bigger than us, and much, much stronger?" she asked.

"Well, then, good luck," Elsa said.

"You can't pick who you want to fight. Because in real battle, you have to fight. Even if the person is much bigger than you," Stoick said.

"Now, let's start! You will be fight against a different gender. Boys against girls," Jack said.

Elsa went to one of the bowls, and pulled out a piece of paper. "Mavis!"

Stoick's turn to call out a name. "Ralph!"

We gaped as the bulky, humongous Moon walked up to the mat in the middle of the room. Mavis against that mountain?!

"Do you think she'll win?" I asked Anna.

"Of course! Go Mavis!!" she yelled. The other Royals joined in.

"Okay, remember, no killing in the arena," Hiccup said sternly. "3, 2, 1, and FIGHT!"

"I'm gonna squash you like a bug Vampire girl," Ralph said.

"You can try," she shrugged. With that, she used her super speed, and started running in circles around the beast.

Ralph looked confused as he tried aiming a hit at Mavis, but she was going too fast for him. There was like a mini tornado going around and around him. We couldn't see much, but just then, I saw Ralph hold his neck painfully. Mavis was aiming for his weak spots.

After hearing a lot of grunts coming from Ralph, Mavis came to a stop, and was smirking as she inspected her nails. Then she aimed a kick at Ralph's head, and he fell down.

"And Mavis wins!" Jonny announced. "Dude! Did you see what she did?! That was wicked awesome!!"

Mavis just smiled, and walked back to us. "Awesome job Mav!" Luxa said, holding her sword.

"Thanks."

Next was Astrid against Snotlout. Needless to say, Snotlout lost.

"Alright, next is... Flynn!" Stoick said.

"And... Rapunzel!" Elsa said.

"Go get him," Merida said to me. I smiled, and walked up to the mat. I saw Flynn doing the same, and we stood there face to face.

"I hope you won't swoon for my awesome fighting skills," Flynn said, smirking. I rolled my eyes. Egoistical jerk.

"Oh don't worry I won't," I answered. I'm so going to win this.

"1...2...3... and FIGHT!" Hiccup yelled, and the fight started.

Flynn charged, and I dodged him. But he was quicker than I expected. He took me by the arm, and pushed me down to the floor. I jumped up and sent a kick in his way. He dodged it, and pushed me again down to the floor. I tried punching him, but he just dodges all my hits. Damn, he's fast, and very agile. He then gave me another punch slash push. I couldn't tell the difference.

"Had enough yet, blondie?" he asked, smirking.

"Not even close," I answered.

"Hey! Less flirting, and more fighting!" Tuffnut, the Moon, twin to Ruffnut, one of the Royals.

"We weren't flirting!" I yelled in unison with Flynn. I quickly tried to aim a kick at Flynn, and but he just jumped out of the way. He's too fast, and too agile for me

"Yo, Flynn! That was just weak!" Snotlout yelled, laughing. That was when I realised that Flynn wasn't fighting as hard as he should be. He actually doesn't want to hurt me. Aw... that's so sweet. But it's also a weakness that I should totally use to my advantage.

I charged at Flynn again, but once again, he stepped to the side, and pulled my hair, as if taunting me to come again. But, this time, he won't be expecting this. I just started crying.

"W-why do you keep doing this to me?" I sobbed, as I let fake tears fall. Thank goodness I was first in acting class. Flynn looked at me shocked. "Why are you s-so m-mean to m-me?"

Flynn knelt down next to me. "Blondie, blondie, I'm sorry. I really am. Please don't cry," he said. I looked at him through my fake tears. I could see the Moons looking at us weirdly. Most probably by the fact that they thought I just started crying like a spoilt brat.

As quick as lightning, as Flynn was distracted by my tears, I grabbed his hands, and flipped him over.

The Moons and Flynn just stared at us shocked. I giggled as I wiped the fake tears away and stood over Flynn. "I win," I smiled. Flynn just stared at me in shock. I giggled again as I bent down to tick his forehead, and stepped over him to join the girls. They cheered for me as I took a bow.

"... Um.., and Rapunzel wins!" Stoick said. Flynn got up from the mat and joined the other boys, who were laughing at him. But the weird thing was that he was smiling as the guys patted his back.

The next was Tadashi against Merida. How should I put this... well... Merida... lost. Shockingly, Tadashi is stronger and faster than he looks. It had been a tough fight, but Merida lost in the end because Tadashi had anticipated most of her moves, and was able to deflect most of them.

After them, was Hiccup against GoGo. You could totally imagine what happened. GoGo just fighting with supersonic speed, and Hiccup trying his best to defend himself. And lastly, GoGo aiming a kick at Hiccup, and he fell back, and lost the match.

Then it was Tarzan and Anna. It was kind of funny to see Anna trying to hit Tarzan, because he was jumping from one side to another, and Anna was liking playing the game 'Monkey' – you know that game where one person stands in the middle, while a circle of friends had to throw a ball around before the so call 'monkey' in the middle could catch them with the ball – with only one person, and she was losing.

Later, it was Kristoff against Honey Lemon. That's an easy one. Kristoff won.

On and on, the fights continued. I never knew that the Moons could take training so seriously. They really know what they're doing. And at the same time, they could have fun, and learn a few extra things at the same time. I love this new training schedule. And I guess the Moons seem to have started liking it too. They kept cheering each other on during their matches.

Finally, it came to the last pair. "Jack!"

"Elsa!"

At that, the Moons groaned. "What? What's wrong?" I heard Anna asked Kristoff.

"When those two start fighting, it usually never ends," Kristoff sighed. I looked as Elsa and Jack steps onto the mat. They smirked at each other as Hiccup said, "Okay. 1...2...3... and FIGHT!"

The two got into fighting stance, and circled around each other. "You're going down Els," Jack said.

"I beg to differ Frost," Elsa said.

Then Elsa charged, and aimed a few punches at Jack. But he dodged them easily, just like how Flynn did from before. Jack returned with a few kicks and punches of his own. Elsa aimed a few more punches, then did a round the house kick. But Jack caught her leg before it hit him, then he flipped her over. But Elsa recovered, and aimed a kick at Jack's chest. It hit it's target, and Jack staggered back a little, it gave Elsa time to get back up on her feet.

Jack was already onto her when she got up. He aimed punches, and kicks, all perfectly executed, but even so, Elsa dodged them. Then Jack grabbed Elsa's arm, and aimed a kick under her feet, knocking her over her feet. She fell, but as she did, she pulled Jack down with her. They struggled to get up, while trying to knock the other off balance. As they stood up again, Elsa started aiming her own punches.

We stared as the whole cycle of the fight repeats itself. It seems that every single time that Jack has the upper hand, Elsa seems to drag him down with her, and they start all over again. It's the same with Elsa, when you thought she was going to win, Jack seem to recover and it was back to fighting again and again.

"I see what you mean by why their fights never end," Anna whispered to Kristoff.

"Ready to give up?" Elsa asked.

"Give up? Ha!" Jack laughed. "That's not even in my vocabulary."

And the fight continued. 15 minutes have already passed, and we were getting a little bored. The two seem to be tiring, but neither were willing to give up.

"This is taking forever," I said. I heard a chuckle next to me. I turned, and jumped to see Flynn. "What are you doing here?"

"Nothing," he laughed. I looked at him suspiciously, feeling a bit of heat rising up my cheek. I turned my attention back to the fight.

Finally, Jack grabbed Elsa, and flipped her over, before climbing on top of her. "Hey! Get off of me!"

"I win," Jack said smugly. Elsa rolled eyes as she gave an undignified 'humph'.

"And Jack wins!" Stoick boomed. The guys cheered for Jack, as he stood up and pulled Elsa to her feet. She punched him in the shoulder as she admitted defeat. Well, that was kind of fun.

Just then Anna came up to me. "You know, this whole training with the Moons thing might not be so bad after all."
