Chapter 20: Ariana Frost... and New Training
Chapter 20: Ariana Frost... and New Training
Jack's POV
When she stepped through that portal, all I could do was stare at first. Until I came to my senses. "Mom," I gaped.
"Everyone, meet Agent Ariana Frost."
I think Elsa was looking at me shocked, while the rest of the Big 5 Moons were asking me some questions, but I wasn't listening. My attention was on the lady in front of us. Her attention was also on me, as she looked at me in disbelief.
"Jackson?" I heard her whispered out.
"Mom."
"Jackson!" she ran up to me, and threw her arms around me. I in turn, wrapped my arms around her. "My boy!"
"Mom, I missed you," I said as I hugged her tightly. She still looked the same as she was when I left them at the age of 11, except for a few wrinkles. I had left the family, when that jerk of a father left us, I know, it sounds weird, but I left so that there was one less mouth to feed. Sometimes I leave some food outside the house.
"Oh, my son, you've grown up! Where have you been all these years?" she cried, tears were streaming down her face. Tears of joy. My face was probably the same.
"I've been away, doing fine, Mom. What about you? Where's Emma?" I asked, realising my sister wasn't here.
"Oh, she's fine. She's back at the house, doing some school work. She's safe," Mom answered.
"Good, I don't want her in this business," I said, sighing in relief.
"Yeah, she shouldn't," Mom said.
Before I could say anything else, I was interrupted by Adgar. "Aria, is this really your son?"
"Yes! Yes, he is," Mom cried.
"Well, that's good. Then maybe you could teach one of them how to behave," he said sourly.
"I am a Moon, not a mind controlled Royal," I said coldly. Seriously, I'm starting to really not like this guy. I heard my mom gasped at that.
"You're a Moon?" she asked.
"Yes."
"I see. How did you become one?" she asked. I laughed.
"Mom, we have a lot of catching up to do," I said. Just then, I caught sight of Elsa, Flynn, Hiccup and Kristoff standing by the side, smiling at us. "But before we do..." I said, and pulled them over here. "Mom, these are my best friends, Kristoff, Hiccup and Flynn."
"Hi, Jack's Mom," they said.
"Nice to meet you gentlemen, and who's this?" she asked, smiling at Elsa.
"This is Elsa," I said, wrapping my arm around her waist. "She's my-."
"Girlfriend?" Mom cut me off.
"Yeah," I said, ruffling my hair.
"Pleasure to meet you Mrs Frost," Elsa said. The two shook hands, smiling.
"Pleasure is all mine, but call me Aria, please, all of you," she said, looking at my friends. Then her attention was on Elsa again. "Now tell me dear, has Jack been up to trouble? What kind of mischief has he made?"
Elsa giggled at that. "Not much, just a few pranks, that's all," she replied sweetly.
"Oh, what a nice girl, now listen to me Jackson, if you break this girl's heart, you will receive a spanking. Mother or not. Is that clear?" she said sternly. I nodded quickly. A scary Mom is not to be messed with. "My son, you're back! You're back with me! And you are never leaving us again."
"Yes, I won't leave again. I promise," I said, as I gave her another hug.

Third Person's POV
The next morning, all the agents were all looking grim as they ate their breakfast in the dining room. Most of them didn't know what the new training will be like, but they do know is that there's not going to be any fun doing it. Even though they were not looking forward to it, they all knew it was like Mani and Elsa said. It was crucial.
"I'm going to hate this so much," Jack said.
"Same," Flynn and Kristoff said, along with the Moons around them.
"I can't believe that most of the training is done by the Royal instructors. The only training sessions we have is One-on-One Combat and Technology Hacking," Bunny exclaimed. "While they have all the others. They have the Sneak Attacks, Weaponry, Stimulation Training, and the Getting Past All Terrain."
"This is preposterous! Why on earth would Mani agree to this?" North asked.
"He says this is crucial time, and the training is much needed. As for why most of the trainings are by them, I don't really know why," Elsa said.
"Well, at least Mom's here," Jack said, smiling at his Mom who was talking to Adgar. Apparently, she was going to be one of the trainers training them, and she'll be there when they train during One-on-One Combat.
"Yeah, and my Dad is not," Elsa sighed, a little disappointed that Mani wasn't there with them.
"He'll come," Hiccup said.
"Yeah, and when he does, we'll crush him," Flynn said jokingly, and they laughed at that, earning a few curious looks.
Just then, Adgar stood up. "Alright agents, to your trainings," he said. All the Royals listened to him, but the Moons were looking towards the Big 5 Moons. "What are you Moons waiting for? Off to your trainings. You all have a schedule. Go follow it!"
"Moons," Elsa said in a clear voice. All heads turned to her. "Go on, let's start this new training schedule. Tonight we'll have a jam out!"
The Moons started cheering, when Adgar disagreed. "No. The agents will need their sleep for the next day of training."
The Moons were glaring hard at the Royal Leader. Including the Big 5 Moons. Elsa took in a deep breath to calm her nerves, and said in the calmest voice possible, "We'll see how tired they are. If the Moons are up for it, they shall have it. Am I clear?" She was raising her voice towards the end.
Adgar was about to say something, but Idun gave him a warning look not to. "Yes, we here you," she said, smiling. Elsa gave her a nod, and a small smile.
"Now, you guys can go to training now," Elsa said.
"Oh wait, I nearly forgot," Adgar said. He walked over to the Big 5 Moons, and laid five pieces of paper on their table. "Since you five aren't technically leaders, you'll have to do some training."
"What?!" the 5 asked.
"What?!" the Moons echoed.
"Yes, now, run along now," he said, smiling a really fake smile.
The Moons and the Royals sauntered out of the dining hall, and towards their respective training rooms.
"Is it just me? Or does it feel as if the Royals just took over?" Flynn asked.
"Same here," Hiccup, Jack and Kristoff said in unison.
"Elsa?" Jack asked. The girl has been quiet for some time.
"I just- I don't know. We're training with the Royals, no big deal. But it's just the fact that my adoptive father seems to hate me, a lot. He hates us," Elsa said.
"That's because he doesn't want the Moons to be superior to the Royals. He's just trying taking this rivalry too seriously," Jack said.
"How did the rivalry even start?" Flynn asked. That made the five silent. How did the rivalry start?
"I don't know," Elsa said, breaking the silence.
"Does anyone know?" Kristoff asked.
"I don't think so," Hiccup said. "Maybe I'll ask Mom, or Dad."
"I'll ask the Guardians, North, Sandy, Bunny," Jack said.
"We'll ask around to see if anybody knows," Flynn said, gesturing to him and Kristoff.
"And I'll ask Dad, he must know for sure," Elsa said firmly.
"So, what's first on the schedule?" Kristoff asked, looking over Elsa's shoulder to see the schedule in her hands. They all had the same schedule.
"Weaponry," Elsa said. They sighed, and walked towards the weaponry. They were all very familiar with the weapons. Well, they were the ones in charge of the Agency, of course they would know their own weapons.
They entered the weaponry room where they test out all their weapons. They entered, and saw the Royals and Royals instructors already there.
"Late. So predictable," Elinor said. The Moons ignored her, and went to step behind the Royals. The instructors were Elinor and Fergus Dunbroch. Parents of the triplets and Merida Dunbroch.
Elsa scanned the room, and saw Anna, Punzie, Merida, Astrid and many other girls with them.
"Alright," Fergus said. "The most important thing to an agent is your weapon. Without a weapon, you are as good as dead."
Hiccup raised his hands. "But, that's not true. Not everyone needs a weapon. All you need is quick thinking, and you'll be able to get out of almost every situation."
"Ah... but the keyword my friend, is almost. What if you are facing a bear, cornered against a wall, and can't defend yourself. Then what are you gonna do, eh, sonny?" Fergus asked.
"You could jump over the bear, and improvise," Hiccup said.
"Improvise? How?" Fergus asked, with a judgemental look.
"Well, you could look for a stone around you, and throw it at the bear's eye. That's its weakest point," Hiccup answered.
"But what if you only have dirt all around you, and you have nothing to throw into the bear's eye?" Fergus shot back.
"Then I'll just step on its eye," Hiccup said simply.
"Ha! And how's that going to help?" Fergus asked, laughing. A few girls snickered along with him.
"Well, I do have a metal leg," Hiccup said, pulling up his pants to show his leg. The girls who had not noticed before gaped at it. Fergus smiled.
"Ah... you have one too!" Fergus said, looking down at his own wooden peg. "How'd you get yours? I lost mine to Mordu." Mordu was the man-changing bear that Merida had imprisoned a few years ago.
"I lost it while trying to stop the prisoners from escaping the other day," Hiccup said nonchalantly, covering the leg again.
"Ah..." Fergus said in understanding. Elinor cleared her throat, and Fergus snapped back to being the strict instructor. "Well, back to business," he said, holding up a real good-looking gun, pistol to be exact. "Do you know what this is?"
"A gun?" Snotlout answered. The Moons snickered at that, earning a disapproving look from Elinor.
"Yes, but what model is it?" Fergus asked.
"That's a .44 Auto Mag, semi-automatic pistol," Hiccup answered immediately. "It was produced from 1971 to 1982. It is designed to shoot 429 inch, 240 grain bullets at about the same velocity as the .44 Magnum revolver."
Fergus nodded, and held up another gun, a revolver. "What is this then?" he asked.
Once again, Hiccup answered immediately. "That would be the .44 Remington Magnum. It is produced from 1955 till now. When loaded to its maximum and with heavy deeply penetrating bullets, the .44 Magnum cartridge can bring down almost anything. It has good accuracy, and when loaded with a heavy, non-expanding bullet, the .44 Magnum will easily shoot through large animals, such as elk and even bison.
"But it is unsuitable to use as a police weapon for .44 Magnum delivers a large, heavy bullet with high velocity for a handgun. In its full-powered form, it produces a lot of recoil and muzzle blast. Rapid fire would be difficult and tiring on the user's hands," he said without missing a beat. Then he added quietly, "Especially for shooters of smaller build or with small hands..."
Fergus looked at him a little shocked and impressed at the same time. He then held out a long gun. A machine gun. "What can you tell me about this?"
"That would be a M1919A4 Browning Machine Gun. It is one of the many variants of the M1919 Browning Machine Gun. It is a .30 calibre medium machine gun. It was produced from 1919 to 1945, and is still in used till present day. It was used by many armies in many wars and conflicts in the 20th century, such as World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Korean War. It saw service as a light infantry, coaxial, mounted, aircraft and anti-aircraft. It weighs about 14kg, and is 37.94 inches," Hiccup said once again.
Fergus looked determined to find a gun model that Hiccup did not know about.
"What about this gun then? I bet you don't know what this is," Fergus said, pulling out a gun from his belt. Hiccup gaped at that.
"That's a Franchi SPAS-12. It is a Combat Shotgun. It was produced from 1979 to 2000. Its production was stopped due to the newer enhanced SPAS-15, but that production stopped shortly after. It was designed to primarily function as a semi-automatic firearm, with a pump action mode used to reliably fire low-pressure ammunition such as tear gas or less-lethal bean bags.
"That is a 18-inch barrel, and it is an extremely rare model. It is also the only known model to ever receive the pistol grip safety," Hiccup said.
Fergus then started laughing out loud. The Royals and Moons, including Elinor stared at him weirdly. What's he laughing about?
"Boy, you sure know your guns," he said.
"Of course, I was the instructor here," Hiccup muttered to himself.
"Why don't you have a go?" Fergus asked, holding out the Franchi SPAS-12. Hiccup looked at him as if asking 'Are you sure'. "Well, go on."
Hiccup took the gun, and Elinor fired up the simulator. This simulator was just random projections of people walking all around. But within the midst of these random innocent people, there are many criminals just waiting to strike. There were robbers, murderers, and terrorists. The aim was to shoot the criminals before they strike, without hurting the innocent people.
"What level would you like?" Elinor asked.
"Level 20 please," Hiccup said. The Royals gaped.
"But, that's the highest level, and the hardest," Punzie said.
"Exactly," Hiccup muttered.
"Go Hic!" Flynn yelled, followed by the rest of the Moons Agency.
"Come on Hic! Show 'em what you can do!" someone yelled.
The Royals were looking at the scrawny techno geek standing in the simulator. "He's not going to do it," one murmured.
"Yeah, look at him. He's just a geek. A computer guy!" another whispered. Merida, Astrid, Anna and Punzie looked at the guy in silence.
Hiccup shut out all the noise from the room, and scanned the people in the stimulator. Elinor had started the stimulation, and now, he found himself on the streets of New York, in the midst of random people just walking about. It was really crowded, and there were many people rushing past him.
Being in the highest level, it was the hardest. But he had done this many times before. Hiccup scanned the crowd. Suddenly, he spotted a man holding a gun by the side of the street. Immediately, he held out his gun, and shot the man in the heart, dead centre.
He spotted another man about to steal a woman's purse, and another man with another gun in his hands. Dodging a man coming in his way, he shot two bullets and both hit their targets. One in a hand of the pick pocket, and another on in the heart of the sniper.
He spotted another man placing a bomb at the bottom of the building. He ran to the other side of the street, and was about to press the button that triggers the bomb. Hiccup swerved around a pregnant lady, and shot another shot, past the heads of innocent projections of strangers, and into the head of the terrorist.
Then, he saw something, or somethings. One, there was a bomb by the side of another building, and someone was about to press the trigger. Two, there was someone holding a knife to an old woman's neck. Three, there was once again another man holding a gun at the top of a building.
Instantly, as if instinct, Hiccup shot the man on top of the building, it hit his chest. Then, he shot another three shots in rapid succession. One was towards the man about to press the trigger, knocking the trigger out of his hands, another was at the skull of the man holding the knife, and one last one at... an innocent little girl.
At the end of it, Hiccup was panting hard. The Moons cheered for him as the stimulation ended, while the Royals just gaped.
"You scored a score of 198,094," the stimulator said, showing Hiccup's score with his name at the bottom.
"Awesome! New high score!" Hiccup said.
"This is preposterous! You shot an innocent little girl!" Elinor exclaimed.
"Not that innocent," Hiccup said.
"What?! She couldn't have been more than ten years old!"
"Have you see what she was holding in her hands?" Hiccup asked. "Stimulator 8.0. Please show the last criminal."
The stimulator was turned on, and on the glass of it, was a screen showing the little girl. Wearing a backpack, and carrying a book in her hands.
"See that book? That's a Medical Economics, Level 6, Version 4. A textbook used in university. Why would a little girl, less than ten years old be holding a book like that?" Hiccup asked.
"She could have been delivering it to her older sister, or maybe just helping someone fetch it from a library," Elinor argued.
"Then why is she out of school? In the stimulation, it was about 10 o'clock in New York, and it was rush hour, and students should already be in school," Hiccup answered simply.
"Maybe she's a bad student, and likes to skip class," Elinor retorted.
"So does her being a bad student, allows her to have guns in her backpack?" Hiccup asked.
"What?" the Royals asked in confusion. Hiccup pressed his hands against the glass, and like a touch screen phone, he zoomed in on the girl's backpack.
The backpack seemed full of things, But there was something protruding out of the zip of the bag. It looked like the handle of a gun. And, you could faintly see the imprint of a gun muzzle by the side of the backpack.
The Royals gaped at the picture. "How in the world did you see that?! The girl was just so far from the point where you were standing!" Merida exclaimed.
"Simple, did you really think that I could stare at computers all day without the need for specs?" Hiccup asked. He tapped on the skin under one of his eyes. "I invented my own contact lenses, such that I could zoom in on anything. Thus, I could see everything clearly."
The Royals gaped at Hiccup, speechless, while the Moons cheered.
"Damn, he's good," Anna said to the other girls.
"Yeah, he is. He scored higher than you, Astrid and I ever did at Level 20! Considering we were the best, he just totally beat the whole agency!" Merida said, a little bit too loud.
"Why thank you Merida," Hiccup said, winking.
Merida turned a little red at that. The Royals giggled, well except Astrid.
"You know, this may not be such a bad training after all," Jack whispered to Elsa. She smiled as Fergus patted Hiccup on the back.
"Maybe training with the Royals may be the best thing yet," Elsa thought.
"Told you," she could hear her Dad's voice somewhere in the back of her mind.
A/N: Ello!!! I'm back!!!!
Finally, after so many minutes! I am back! And with a new update. I did a lo of research on the different gun models, with very slow internet if I may add.
Jack: Damn Hic! Being awesome, while beating my high score!
Hiccup: Why thank you! xP *bows*
Roger: I thought you weren't going to update today?
Me: I know, but I just finished this chapter today, and I thought why not? Am I awesome or what?
Flynn: What?

Flynn: You said it, are you awesome or what? And I said what.
Me: -_- You know, I can totally just tell Rapunzel about your little crush on her...
Flynn: Can you please just write out the part where I would ask her out? Or better yet, when we get married?
Me and Roger: DUDE! You're already thinking about marriage?!!? O.O
Flynn: Um... *looks at wrist where an invisible watch lies* Oh, look at the time! Gotta go! Goodbye!
