Chapter 17: Sick

Chapter 17: Sick

Hiccup's POV

Today, we were going snowboarding! Jack should be jumping with excitement, but instead, he was looking at the empty seat next to him, looking worried. Elsa never wakes up this late. Today, she didn't even do the wakeup call. She can't still be asleep, can she?

"Where is she?" Flynn asked. Everyone was waiting for Elsa to wake up, but it seems like that's not happening.

"You guys eat first. I'll get Elsa," he said. As he walked out of the dining hall, we looked at each other and nodded in silent agreement. And by we, I mean, the Moons.

"Hiccup, you know what to do," Bunny said, smirking. I nodded and released the fly camera. It was a camera that could fly and follow anyone around. It needs to be controlled by a controller, to move around.

I tossed the controller to Hiro, as I set up the screen. The Royals looked confused at what we were doing.

"Um... Hiccup? What are you doing?" Merida asked.

"We're going to spy on Jack and Elsa," I answered nonchalantly.

"What?! Is there no such thing as 'privacy'?" Anna asked.

"When it comes to boys like us, intruding privacy, is what we do," Flynn laughed. The Moons agreed. The Royals just stared at us, mouth agape. Even the Royal leaders looked shock.

When I finished setting up the screen, and the back of Jack's head was shown on it. The fly camera was connected to my computer and whatever it is following will be shown on the screen, in this case, Jack.

We saw Jack at Elsa's door, and he just walked right into a huge room, covered in snowflakes.

"Wow, he didn't even knock," Punzie said.

"Her room is huge!" Astrid said.

Elsa was lying on her bed, still sleeping. She looked rather peaceful, except for the fact that her eyebrows were arched a little. Jack smirked.

"Elsa, time to wake up," he said. Elsa stirred in her sleep. "Elsa! Get up, you promised me snowboarding, remember?" he asked like a child.

"Wait, how are you guys going snowboarding? There's no snow! It's in the middle of summer!" Anna said, confused. We didn't know how to answer, so we ignored it.

"Elsa, come on!" Jack said. He walked towards Elsa. She was still sleeping. She must be very tired. Jack smirked, like he just got an idea. He bent down and whispered into Elsa's ear.

"Hey, Elsa, it's nine o'clock," he said. At that, Elsa's eyes shot open.

"What?!" she exclaimed. In her surprise, she rolled to her side and would have fell off the bed if Jack wasn't there to catch her. We laughed at the scene.

"Whoa! Easy Snowflake," Jack laughed. Suddenly, Jack's facial expression turned from the usual mischievous one to one of concern. "Elsa? Why does your skin feel so hot?"

"Never mind that! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?" Elsa said, before jumping out of Jack's arms and racing into her closet. She stumbled a little as she went. She came out wearing a white shirt, black pants and blue jacket. She looked around for something.

"Jack? Have you seen my boots?" she asked. He shook his heads.

"Did you check your whole closet?" he asked.

"Of course I did! I can't find them anywhere," Elsa said.

We heard sniggers and looked around. We saw the triplets holding Elsa's boots. Oh no... she's going to kill them.

"Elsa, you have a walk in closet, you could have missed them," Jack answered.

"No, I checked every inch."

"Well, take one of your other boots then."

"You think it's that easy?" Elsa asked sarcastically. Jack was about to answer, when his eyes widened.

"Oh..." he said. We were confused. What's so hard about getting some boots?

Jack sighed and walked into the closet with Elsa. The girls gasped at the number of outfits Elsa had. There was a huge box at the top shelf. It looked like it could burst any minute. Jack sighed again, and went and took the box down. It looked really heavy. It didn't help that the ceiling was very high, so the top shelf was well, very high.

"Elsa, did you really need all of these shoes?" Jack asked, panting heavily, trying to keep his balance while holding the huge box.

"Yes," Elsa answered.

"Geez, how can shoes weigh that much?" Jack asked again.

"That's because shoes are awesome," Elsa answered. When Jack put down the box, all the girls gasped. The box was filled with shoes.

"Those shoes are perfect!"

"Oh my gosh! How did she get those?"

"Wow..." was all the guys could say.

"Now where are those boots?" Elsa asked herself as she started rummaging through the box. Even though all the shoes were all placed in one box, it looked very organised. Just then, Elsa pulled out a pair of high-heel boots, which were white, and had blue snowflake designs on it. "Found it!"

"You own too many shoes, in my opinion," Jack said.

"And you own too many sweaters," Elsa retorted.

"No one can have too many sweaters," Jack answered.

"And no one can have too many shoes," Elsa scoffed.

"With the number of shoes you have, you could open a shoe store," Jack chuckled.

"And with the number of sweaters you have, you could give it out free, to a whole country who needs it," Elsa said.

"At least mine is for a good cause," he smirked.

"Oh no, you had to give them out free, because no one would buy them," Elsa said, wiping the smirk off Jack's face.

"Hey! But you can't deny they're comfortable," Jack replied, smirking again.

"Okay, maybe they are comfortable. But shoes are too!" Elsa argued on.

"Are we really going to do this?" Jack sighed.

"You started it!" Elsa said accusingly.

"Ok, fine, I surrender," Jack said. "But I still like to see you in my clothes," he smirked. The Royals gasped, while Flynn, Kristoff and I burst into laughter. We remember that day.

"Jack!" Elsa exclaimed, blushing furiously.

"You look cute when you're red," Jack said. "Just like when you're wearing my sweater!" he laughed. Elsa gasped.

"Jack! Now, I'm really starting to regret playing with you in the rain," Elsa pouted.

"You don't regret anything," Jack laughed.

FLASHBACK

"Come on Elsa! Let's go outside!" Jack yelled.

"Jack! It's raining!" Elsa gasped.

"Yeah! That makes it fun!" Jack said, pulling Elsa out into the rain. They were at our house, and Jack pulled Elsa out into the rain. They soon came in soaking wet. Elsa was having a fit.

"Jack! Now I'm wet! And I can't change into anything," she said.

"It's fine, you can wear one of my sweaters," Jack said. Elsa followed Jack up the stairs to his room. She soon came down, wearing one of Jack's blue sweaters.

"Hey Jack! Elsa! Are you sure you didn't do anything up there?" Flynn asked. We laughed as Elsa and Jack turned red.

"What the hell, Flynn?! Seriously?" Jack yelled.

"We didn't do anything!" Elsa shouted.

"Well, from the sounds coming from your room, I beg to differ," Kristoff said.

"We did nothing!" they both shouted. Then they dashed up the room, while we laughed.

FLASHBACK END

They were so embarrassed that day.

"Okay, fine. Let's just go now, the agents must be starving right about now," Elsa said. She stood up, but fell to the ground again, as if her legs were weak and couldn't support her weight.

"Elsa! Are you okay?" Jack asked as he helped her up.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Now, we need to get this box back up there," Elsa said. Jack was still wearing this worried look, but listened and helped Elsa put the box back.

As they walk towards the door, Elsa suddenly held her head like it was going to explode.

"Elsa, are you sure you're fine?" Jack asked.

"Yes, I'm fine," Elsa insisted. But as soon as she said that, she fell to the ground.

"Elsa!" Jack said. He picked her up bridal style and put her in bed. She looked really weak and sick. Jack touched her forehead and looked at her, worried. "Elsa! You're burning up!" Jack exclaimed.

"I told you, I am fine," Elsa said stubbornly.

"Elsa, you're sick. You are in no condition to go out now," Jack said firmly. Wow, I've never seen Jack so serious.

"Jack, I am fine. It's just a headache. Plus, like you said, I promised to go snowboarding. I can't disappoint you and the guys," Elsa said.

"Elsa, I'd rather sit here with you than have you doing vigorous work out while you're sick," Jack said.

"Aw..." the Royals said.

"They care so much about each other," Punzie said.

"Yup," we said in unison.

"Jack! I'm fine," Elsa groaned. She tried to sit up, but Jack pushed her down. She pushed Jack off her bed and tried to make a run for the door. But Jack was too fast for her. He caught her by the waist, causing her to scream a little. He made her lie in her bed as Elsa struggled against his grip.

Elsa pouted. Jack sighed. "You are really acting like a child, you know that?" Jack asked.

"It's your effect on me," Elsa said.

"I must have been really annoying then when I got sick," Jack said, rubbing his neck.

"Tell me about it," Elsa said, rolling her eyes. But held her head again.

Jack laughed. Then he sighed. "Alright. You can go, but just take some medicine before you go, okay?" he asked.

"Okay," Elsa said happily. Jack walked towards a cupboard and took out a bottle of some kind of serum. He poured it into a glass of water. Then he offered it to Elsa.

Elsa looked at the water with distaste. "Drink it, you said you would," Jack said. Elsa took the water and drank half of it. Jack gave her a look of warning, and she drank it all.

"It's sweet," Elsa commented. "I thought it was supposed to be bit-," Elsa started, but cut herself off. Her eyes widened as she realised something.

"Jack!" she yelled, but she was getting sleepy. Jack let her lie down on her bed again. But she was hitting Jack like there was no tomorrow. "How could you?! I said I promised to drink medicine," she said, her eyelids threatening to close.

"It is medicine. Medicine to make you better and get you to sleep," Jack laughed. By now, Elsa was too tired to say anything.

"You're mean," Elsa said as she finally drifted off to sleep.

"It's for your own good Elsie," Jack said. He kissed her forehead before standing up. It was then he saw the fly camera. He narrowed his eyes at us.

"Oh shoot!" I said as we saw Jack took hold of the fly camera and the screen went blank, which meant that Jack just smashed the fly camera to bits.

"Uh oh," we all said as we heard running footsteps coming our way. Jack appeared at the door. He saw the screen and me with the computer, also Hiro with the controller.

"Seriously guys? Spying on us? Again?" he asked angrily.

"Um...yeah?" I answered weakly.

"Hiccup, you are so dead!" Jack yelled as he ran towards me. I made a run for it, but it wasn't that easy with an artificial leg. I quickly ran behind one of the Royals closets to me, which happened to be Merida.

"Jack, don't hurt me please. There's a Royal in front of me, and if you hurt her, Elsa's not going to let you off easily," I said.

"So I'm your human shield now?" Merida asked, amused.

"Um, yes?" I answered weakly again.

"Frost, you can totally have him," Merida said as she stepped aside, smirking.

"Hey!" I said. Jack took advantage of that moment and put me into a head-lock. "Jack! Stop it!" I said and I could hear everybody else's laughter. But her laughter stood out the most.

When Jack finally finished his revenge on me and ran after Hiro, I stood up and saw Merida still laughing at me. "Haha, you find this very funny, don't you?" I asked.

"Yes, your reaction was very cute," she said, then she realised what she just said and clasped her hand over her mouth. I smirked.

"Oh, so you think I'm cute?" I asked.

"Well, yes, sometimes," she tried saying it defiantly, but it was kind of hard when she was blushing so hard.

"I think you are beautiful all the time," I whispered into her ear. She blushed even harder. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Astrid glare at Merida. I knew Astrid liked me, but she is just so mean to others.

I smirked at Merida, and returned to my seat. Flynn and Kristoff smirked at me.

"Good job, man," Kristoff said.

"Yup, who knew a guy like you could get such a tough girl like her?" Flynn laughed.

"Hey!" I said feeling a tiny bit offended.

"Hiro! Get back here!" we saw Jack yelled as Hiro still ran from him. Jack was getting very frustrated.

"Uh... should we stop him?" I asked.

"Nah," they answered in unison, sipping on their coffee as they watched Jack chase Hiro all around the dining hall.
