Favorite Child From Own Books Challenge

I was challenged to do this by shinymewgirl ! So, onwards!

*sits down at a table with a list of OCs slowly crossing off names* That book doesn't exist yet... Those two are too similar... She hardly did anything at all...

*One hour later*

FINALLY!! Done! ^-^

Okay, so unlike most of the people who did this challenge, I'll count backward, starting with number five and ending on one!

Also, I'm just going to slap a huge "Spoiler Warning" on this chapter, because some parts I will be referencing you may not have read or don't exist yet, but I chose to include them because they were important to the development of the character. So, yeah...

Now that we've gotten that out of the way...

Let's begin!!

5. Aaron (Zapped)
Why did I stop writing chapters of Zapped, again? *sits down at computer to type new chapter* *is slammed by writer's block and the characters' complete flatness* Oooooh... riiiight... Oops. Although I do think that most of the characters in Zapped were kinda flat, one- note, or just too cliche, I was kinda happy with Aaron's character design. True, he's a complete jerk, but it's fun writing the chapters that include him, although I don't know why. Maybe because he reminds me of Kaiba... Hm... Nah. For those of you who don't know, Aaron is the third trainer to have received a starter from Professor Sycamore, and he's the son of the rich tycoon who owns Parfume Palace. I initially created him to give Morgan and Nick a rival. However, out of all the trainers, he has the most personality. Which, now that I think about it, is sorta sad since his personality is pretty much just being a rich, shallow jerk. But deeper into the book I was going to add a bit more... *looks at book* Anyone got some dynamite so that I can destroy the writer's block in my way?

4. Chespin (Zapped)
Remember what I said previously about most of my Zapped characters being flat? Yeah, well, that's true, but most of my Pokemon characters have a little bit more personality than their trainers, a mistake on my part. However, I really do like Chespin. He is extremely determined, kinda obnoxious, and has yet to grow into his large ego. However, his antics are extremely funny and entertaining for me to write. And say nothing of his constant bickering with Fennekin and Amanda. I'm surprised Connor hasn't lost his mind yet! If you haven't read Zapped, Chespin is Morgan's starter Pokemon, and one of the first people Amanda meets when arriving in Kalos. Although she initially finds him annoying, Amanda becomes somewhat fond of Chespin. But she's quick to reprimand him anytime he does/ says something silly (which is often). And despite acting a little immature sometimes (*cough* all the time *cough*), Chespin will do anything to protect his friends and trainer, which I would have shown in more detail, if dumb writer's block would go away!!!! *sigh* I really should try to continue Zapped, shouldn't I?

3. Celestia (Shifting Dimension)
Where'd my icing go? And my Pixie Stixs! And my chocolate cake!!!! *looks around* CELESTIA!! GIVE THEM BACK!! *chases after five- year- old* Celestia is one of the youngest characters I have ever chosen to include in a book. She's super hyper, on a constant sugar high, probably too happy- go- lucky for anyone's good, and seriously need to learn to keep her voice down indoors. But she's also extremely powerful and devoted to her twin sister, Luna. And before you even ask- yes, I did name them after Princess Celestia and Princess Luna from MLP. If you haven't read Shifting Dimension, Celestia is a young Espeon Shifter from the Pokemon world, who had some... odd circumstances going on at the time of her evolution, so she and her twin sister, Luna the Umbreon, evolved as different Eeveelutions at the same time. That's explained later. She is placed under the care of Leo, Lia, and some other mysterious characters that haven't appeared yet. I enjoy Celestia's character because her constant hyper optimism, even when faced with danger and uncertainty, is uplifting and fun to write. And she loves sugar, which is a bonus and is fun to include in the little side- scenes that I write for the books purely for my own entertainment. Although she did just manage to snag this spot from a certain hyper, emoji- loving Phantump from Phantump Woods...

2. Malacia (Phobia)
Is the fact that I placed Malacia on here as opposed to Acer or Valens somewhat biased? Probably. What can I say? I love Vaporeons! They're my second favorite Pokemon of all time! Of course, there are other reasons I put Malacia on here, despite the fact that Acer and Valens have similar experiences. I relate to her the most out of the three. You see, I based each of the Eeveelutions off something that their element represents- Valens is strength, Acer is speed, and Malacia is wisdom. Of the three I prefer wisdom. If you haven't read Phobia, Malacia is a Vaporeon who is scared of water. How? Well, long story short Articuno attacked her family, so her parents ordered her to evacuate her siblings to the river, where the currents over took them and Malacia was forced to watch all of them down. She would have died as well, had Acer and Valens not pulled her from the river. So, yeah. Fun. But despite this, she manages to (somewhat) recover, and she, Valens, and Acer start a strange sort of family of their own. Malacia is the mother figure of the family, being the only girl. And despite her extreme fear of water, she manages to face it and gains enough strength to take out Articuno- with a little bit of help from Lugia. And "The Power of One." (LOVE that song). So, a definite strong character, and the reason she places second on this list.

And finally

First place goes to-

Drum roll, please!

1. Leo (Shifting Dimension)!!

I LOVE Leo's character from Shifting Dimensions! Why? Well, let me get into some more detail on his role in the story before I explain that. So, Leo is a Latios Shifter in the Pokemon world, who is tasked with watching over the twins Luna and Celestia, along with his sister, Lia. However, the evil seeking the twins' power corrupts Lia and turns her against Leo and the twins. Yet, despite this, Leo manages to put on a brave front to help Ruby, Flicker, Flash, and Shimmer get back to their world, and even faces his sister in battle, four times, to protect them and the twins. Not only that, but he continuously resists the evil that attempts to corrupt him the way it corrupted his sister. I love his character so much, because even though he is constantly faced with extreme uncertainty and the betrayal of his sister, he still manages to be cheerful as opposed to sinking into depression, and does what he believes is right, even when everything is turned against him. I greatly admire his strength and determination to continue, and he reminds me of myself in many ways. He never back down when he knows he is needed, and he fights against all odds. Even though he is more of a side character in the story, he is still my favorite character for his determination and never yielding spirit.

Now, then, who should I challenge... Oh! I know! >:3

PurehearttheNeko , Saraevo , and Alphanix .

Have fun!~
