Akihito POV: Present Day

"You can't just forgive the Nakiris on what they did to your wife, am I right, Taka-niisan?" I asked him while I walk away.

"You were hurt by them. That is what Seto have told us. She came to rescue you and stop her family from doing any other," he told me.

I just laughed at him and told my dear brother, "I lied, brother. I was never hurt. I was the one who sent the letter so she can rescue Seto from her family. You think your love story resembles that of Romeo and Juliet but what you did not know, your problem at that time has a much deeper reason why our families do clash. That is your son's responsibility now. He has the responsibility to know the root of the feud and pull it out so he can end it."

"Do you think he can do it?" Taka stared at his wife's grave while I keep backing away.

"Among our dreams, you know how much our lone family wants to end the feud. Arima Aina and Prime Minister Arima Akio were the only ones who do look at the Nakiris as enemies who'd kill your son. Most of all, are we so sure that the people who wanted to kill him are the Nakiris? No, doesn't it?" I told him. After that, I left him alone.

I stared at the sky and I reminisced the days that I saw how dangerous the past 21 years were for my brother and sister-in-law.

Akihito PoV: 21 years ago

"I'm begging you, mom... dad... It wasn't Seto's fault! I am deeply in-love with Akihito's brother! Please, don't hurt her!" Saki was screaming to the two people in front of us.

"Daughter, how could you fall in-love with an Arima? You do know what those Arimas have done to our family many years ago!" Nakiri Oozaki, Saki's father told her while she's trying to be a human shield for us.

"What did the Arimas do many years ago? What did they do? The generation of Arimas today have already forgotten about it! Only us know what it is and you still can't forgive them? The feud is so pathetic. If only you could join hands with them again, everything will be so much better!" shouted Saki to her parents.

Her mother, Nakiri Saya went closer to her. "If you join them, we will all forget that you are my daughter but, they won't be free. We will keep hunting your dear friends and destroy them completely. We won't kill them. Only they will live in fear but if you say that you would stay with us and you won't meet Arima Takahiko, they will be free. Your choice, Saki."

"If that is your will, I will stay here," she told her parents.

I was surprised and before we were dragged away from the Nakiri household, I shouted at her, "What about my brother? Have you forgotten that he is waiting for you? Saki!!!!"

We were free. The truth is, the Nakiris locked Seto inside their basement to interrogate her about the relationship of my brother and Saki. She was crying bitterly while we both sat beside a large fountain. Her tears were like pearls falling down her eyes but those weren't for good. I can totally see that she is blaming herself for telling everything about them but I do know that it was my fault why Saki was locked up inside the Nakiri household and at the same time, we all heard that Saki will be forced to marry someone she doesn't even know and love.

My brother quickly knew about it and he quickly went at the Nakiri household using my motorbike to stop the wedding and save the girl whom he loves so much.

I went with him and I told Seto, "Stay here. We will definitely save her from the fate she shouldn't have."

She was just silent. She couldn't speak but her tears stopped and I knew that she is giving us her strength for the unknown journey we will both be embarking.

The journey to the Nakiri household was just a few hours away from the Arima fountain. The atmosphere is cold and agonizing. I could also see that the door of the mansion of the Nakiris were locked up. It was only at the time that I noticed how scary their mansion is. It wasn't very much the same as the modern mansion of the Arimas. It was very much like the old house of the Japanese Samurais.

"Brother?" I asked him. "When I got out of this place, our eyes were closed up. Are you sure this is the Nakiri Household?"

He just nodded at me.

I looked around more and I noticed that there are so many Sakura Trees scattered around the mansion. "She lives here. The Nakiris live here for decades. You wait here, Akihito."

Takahiko PoV: 21 years ago

I have to save her no matter what. It was the only thing that kept me going. The weather doesn't bother me. What bothers me more is the pain that she will be stolen from me and our love would just end like that. I have to find her and free her from the clutches of her parents who were forcing her to marry someone whom she doesn't love.

When I finally drew close near the balcony of her house, I climbed a tree to peek inside and in my joy, I have seen the miracle of my life, Saki.

"What are you doing? What if my parents see you?" she asked me. She helped me get on the floor of the balcony and we kissed each other. She was wearing a very elegant white kimono.

"I'm here to save you. I have heard that you are to be married with someone else today," I told her.

She was definitely surprised. "That is true but how will you be able to take me away?"

"We'd do something about it," I told her.

She stared at my eyes seriously and that is when she told me, "Liar. You seriously went here without a plan, am I right?"

She's right. I went here without a definite plan on how I could take her away from them.

"I have no choice then, Taka. I have to be honest with them but before them, you have the right to know. You are to become a father, Arima Takahiko."

"What are you talking about?" I was definitely confused.

"I don't care if they throw me away as a Nakiri if I confess to them that I am pregnant. If I tell them that I am having your son inside my womb, they would do everything to kill the one person who could unite our two families in the future and be the bridge of unity! I have to come with you as it is my dream all along. Your father and I have the same dream for our two families! To merge them as one!" she told me.

"What..." I couldn't contain myself. Tears just went out of my eyes. She revealed to me the truth about the reason why our families do hate each other.

"It was a story so long ago... that it turned to be like a legend... a myth from so long ago. Our son could be the bridge of forgiveness but my family wouldn't like that. They will do everything to separate the two of us.What we are doing is an unbreakable sin between our two families but we have to do this for their sake."

She held my hand tightly and both of us soon told her parents about Saki's pregnancy.

When I looked up, her parents were both devastated. Mr. Nakiri Oozaki punched my face and cried, "You're both young! How could you do this to my daughter! How could you!???"

Her mother was on her knees asking her daughter, "How can you do this? You do know how big their sin is to our family! If they have forgotten their sin already, how could you dodge it and fall for a descendant who threw our dignity away??? You are a musical prodigy."

She turned her back on her mother and told her, "If you want me to stay... forget about it but if you can't forget about it, I will leave and you mustn't consider me a Nakiri anymore. I am married with an Arima. I am Arima Saki now, mom."

Her father turned on her and told her, "LEAVE!!! BOTH OF YOU!!! Saki... If you think your son will forever be safe, you're wrong. It is because of that child why you were stolen from us. Leave, NOW!"

I quickly stood from the floor and held her right hand. I could totally see her tears beginning to flow down but this isn't a time for that. I am pretty sure she wished that her parents acted in a different way. I couldn't blame them. I took their daughter away from them. We're totally so young to begin with... both of us aren't ready to begin raising a child yet. More on, both of us were only college freshmen.

That is why when we were already near where I left Akihito who seemed to have slept, I embraced my wife.

"I won't leave your side, Saki. Forgive me for hurting you," I told her.

She dried her tears. "What are you talking about?"

She was beginning to laugh while there were still tears on her eyes, "You didn't hurt me at all! Shouldn't I be saying thank you to you?"

I embraced her and my tears fell down bitterly. I couldn't stop it. My tears wouldn't just leave me alone!

I cried on her shoulders like a child who lost everything but she just hugged me and tried her best to calm me down.

Akihito POV:

I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep and so when I heard an angelic voice, I pry open my eyes and that is when I realized, the voice I was hearing was my brother after all.

"Aren't you cold?" she asked me.

When I was finally awake completely, she stared at me and I could definitely see on both of their eyes, they have just went through a very hard struggle.

I tried to reach out to both of them since they began living as a couple until she gave birth to their child.

"Are you alright?" I asked her.

"I am fine, Aki."

This was the only time I could do something for my brother. I have the responsibility to protect his wife while he is away, working.

"He asked for divorce... Am I right?" I asked her.

She sat on the wooden chair and she told me, "He wasn't the one who asked for it. It was me. I have to completely disappear and take Kousei away from a far away province where my parents wouldn't get a hold of him. I left and married him for my child's safety. I also asked for divorce to protect him. I don't know where to go, Aki!"

I gave her my hand and told her, "I know a place. We would leave as soon as possible... you... don't need to have a divorce, am I right?"

"That is not possible. I have to get divorce to free your brother from pain," she smiled at me.

I am very much confused.

What is she talking about?

Her eyes were teary and she faced me while her tears fall down completely. "I'm dying. Slowly... SLOWLY!!! Both of us tried to find a cure already but we can't just find anyone who could do something! Everyone tells us the same thing. I have a progressive disease, an incurable one and I will die soon! My life will whittle away just like a cherry blossom! No one can save me! No one can save me anymore!!!"

She cried and cried in front of me. How... How can this happen?

Present Day: Akihito POV

Brother, you weren't just the one who fell in-love with her. You were just the first man in her life. I hate to admit it but I have also fallen for her and it was her death that made it hard for me to find another partner in life.

I don't know if there'll be anyone but I just know...

We both saw her battle against her disease.

We both witnessed how she gave her best to raise your child in spite of her sickness.

I was the one with her when you're busy...

But I always know, you were the one for her. If reincarnation is real, I do wish that both of you could meet once again and that there will be no barriers for both of you.

I looked up at the sky and shouted, "Saki... don't you leave your son!!! Your dream for him will soon come! I promise you, he will live happily soon!"

Tears came out of my eyes and I prayed that William... No... Kousei... he may say he has already killed him but no matter what happens, he will always be Arima Kousei.
