Far From Home

A/N: I hope you're still here with me!

Third POV:

"William," Kaori kept knocking on his door back at his home in Japan.

He is now living with his father and grandfather.

"Leave me alone!" shouted Kousei.

His scream surprised Ling Yuen and Takahiko. "What happened? Why is he acting this way?" asked Takahiko.

"We fought. We spoke harshly with each other," she told him.

After that, Taka decided to knock himself and screamed, "Open this door, now!"

But after he had screamed at him, a sound of a bottle, breaking inside his room was heard that alerted all three of them.

Kaori quickly took the keys and opened the door. All of them were surprised to see him that he had fainted under his piano with a bottle of wine on his hands.

"Damn Park Tae Hee!" screamed Kaori that shocked Ling Yuen and Taka.

"Park Tae Hee? Who is it? Is that person the one that made my son like this?" Taka asked her.

"Sirs, don't trouble yourselves with her. I'll be the one to contact her while you trouble yourselves in stopping Arima Aina from trying to hurt your son," she told them.

"Take care of him," he told her.

"Hai. Arigatou Gozaimasu," she promised.

They quickly moved him on his bed and Taka stared anxiously to his son. "How can Arima Aina do this to us, dad?"

"She's not the problem right now. Your son is safe under our wings. Most of all, my elder brother had decided to accept my decision. There's nothing to worry about. Joining the Nakiris is the right decision," Ling Yuen told him.

"But how can he be drunk like this!? Why is my son torturing himself? Otousama! Naze desu ka?" cried Takahiko.

"Endure it for a while, Taka. Whatever happens right now is your own decision," Ling Yuen tapped his back to comfort him.
...

Inside the garden of Arima Family, Thomas and Miyazono Kaori stayed to talk privately while the two Arimas are busy taking care of Kousei. "Mr. Thomas... I have to talk to Ms. Park Tae Hee."

"Her? Doushite?" asked Thomas.

"Her son can't accept what she did! How can I endure it while he is torturing himself!? He never got drunk like this before!" she told him.

Suddenly, both saw Akihito enter the garden and were surprised. "It's been a long time that I haven't been here. What's happening?"

"Can you be of help if we tell you?" Thomas asked.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Please, please make sure your nephew move on from his mother's death. He hasn't truly moved on yet," Miyazono Kaori said.

Akihito sighed and held himself. "I'll go there. Where's his room?"

Kaori answered him, "His bedroom's in the middle of music room and the library upstairs."
...

When Akihito came by to visit Kousei, he had just seen his father and brother going outside of his room. Both quickly saw him and stared at him with sad eyes. "Why do both of you look so gloomy? How is Kousei?" he asked them.

"How is my son? Akihito... It's been a long time that I have let both of you reconcile but here he is, having another problem but that problem can't even be avoided. He has to fight against it to live," he told both of them.

"We just need to support him. That's the only thing we can all do," Ling Yuen told them.

"Can I enter?" Akihito asked.

"He's asleep. Don't wake him up," Takahiko sighed.

Akihito opened the door silently and found him sleeping quietly but with his breathing very much labored. Most of all, there were tears flowing down his eyes. He kept hearing him murmur, 'Okaasan! Okaasan.'

He sat on the chair near his bed and stared at him. He had grown handsome.

Then, he slowly whispered to him, "Stories of people like you are not easy to create, Arima Kousei. I don't know if you can hear me but if you can hear me right now, you must know that your mother loves you. Please, accept whatever decision she chose. Yes, the only people who do not know about her being alive is your father. Just him. There will be a right time for her return. Please endure it for a while. She'll return, I vow it'll happen."

Tears slowly went out of his eyes and held his right hand. "Be strong... For everyone."
...

The next day, William woke up and saw that there's a short letter under his pillow. He quickly took it up and read it.

Kousei,

Your mother will return in the future. Please don't torture yourself. Keep it a secret for a while until she is ready to leave the identity of Park Tae Hee.

Your uncle and godfather,

Arima Akihito

William sighed and asked himself, "Can I trust my uncle?"

He quickly stood up from his bed and went inside to the music room and opened the piano. He touched the keys and smiled, "It's been a long time... I wonder if I could still play this the same as before."

As he was playing the piano with the tune of Amazing Grace, he quickly missed the old days and realized, he was very much far from home.

Tears bellowed him after a while and screamed silently to himself, "Why can't it calm me down? Why doesn't it  have the same effect with me like before? Yui... Yui... I need you by my side."

There, he went out and ordered Mr. Thomas to fetch Yui. "Yui... you mean Miyazawa Rei?" he asked. "Why, Kousei?"

Kousei flinched and Thomas knew that he was angry with him for saying it in front of him. "Forgive me. Why, William?"

"Tell her to bring a violin with her. Tell her that I want to play Amazing Grace with her. I may regain my strength if ever I play it with her."

"I understand. I'd call her quick," he bowed and left.

"Can't I play with you? It's been a long time that I haven't played my violin. Is it alright?" asked Kaori.

Kousei asked, "Is it fine if I want Yui to be our audience?"

Kaori grinned, "I heard she's close with Tsubaki and believes that you're dead."

"Then it's time for me to reveal myself to them." After he said it to them, Kaori and Thomas realized that his smile is still depleted with sadness. Kaori quickly hugged him and vowed, "I'll stay with you forever, William."

Tears slowly went out of William's eyes and hugged her back. "I'm giving you permission to let everyone know that you're still alive. I'd let her come here," Kaori told him.

She quickly nodded at Thomas to call Miyazawa Rei. After a while, after the call, Akihito was shocked that his nephew wants Yui to see him back. "I'll go with you," Akihito told her.

"Wait, why?" she asked.

Akihito held himself on Yui's shoulders and told her, "William and Kousei are one and the same."

Yui stared at him and told him, "I... pretended that I don't know who he truly is, father."

"You...," Akihito was deeply astounded and shocked from what he heard. "You've always known the truth?"

"Forgive me," Yui bowed her head.

"It's ok. We've got to go. If my nephew needs us, we'll have to go," he hugged her quick.
...

After a while, Miyazawa Rei and Arima Akihito arrived at the Arima Mansion in Tokyo.

There were attendants that welcomed them and escorted them in the Music Room.

William smiled happily after seeing both of them again. "I actually want both of us to play Amazing Grace with you but Kaori insisted that she'll.do it with me and since I wanted an audience, I chose you. I hope you like it."

William quickly sat on his seat in front of the piano while Kaori readies herself to play the track.

As he is playing the track with Kaori, he was surprised to find out that he is slowly healing himself from all the pain that baffled him.

After he played it with her, he looked at Kaori with tears going down his eyes.

Kaori stared at him and she felt relieved to see that behind Kousei's tears is a smile of happiness.

He stood up and hugged her quick. "Are you now free at last?" Kaori asked.

Kousei held her, "I'm happy you're here with me, Kaori."

Miyazawa Rei grinned and clapped for their great performance. "Amazing Grace, huh? I remember that I told you once that every time I'm sad, I play that track. I couldn't believe that it'll help you too," she told him.

"Thank you for sharing it to me," he told her.

"Time can heal wounds, Arima Kou-," she stopped when she noticed that Kousei doesn't even want to hear that name and she wonders about the reason.

Akihito also noticed it.

"William," ended Rei.

"My life automatically changed after meeting you," Kousei told her.

"Forgive me."

Kousei stared at her in shock, "There's nothing for you to apologize for. It may be destiny that gave me this life, Yui."

Rei smiled after hearing her old name from his mouth.

"What about Tsubaki and Emi? Would you tell them?" she asked.

"It's not yet the right time. Don't tell them, I'm begging you," he anxiously.told her.

"If that is your choice," she hugged him after saying those words.

"I'll reveal it at the right time," promised Kousei.
