Levin, Malachi, and I all toured the classes. One was a haunted class made by 4th graders and a few high schoolers. After exploring for a bit we came across a small classroom cafe (made by the teachers) where you can sot down, relax, and enjoy a cup of tea.

"Can we go in there?" Levin asked as he tugged the hem of my shirt.

I smiled and gave a curt nod. "Of course!" I said just as excited as him.

We walked inside and a staff member (3rd grader) greeted us with a big toothy grin. They lead us to a table and we sat down. "This is so cool!" Malachi said excitedly.

"Is is. By the way, what did your class do Malachi?" I asked curiously.

"We didn't do much, we just helped with the other classes...all we really did was decorate our class with posters and stuff." Malachi answered.

"That's still cool. What about you Levin?" I asked turning my attention to the small blond.

"Oh, we didn't do anything. No kindergarten classes did any activities." Levin said.

"That's disappointing." I said.

Levin nodded and I then ordered the three of us apple juice. After we finished our juice we left the classroom cafe and wandered the halls. I continuously checked my phone in hopes for a text or call from Aaron but no...I didn't get anything. We wandered around for about an hour before we went outside to look around. Nothing big was done outside, just a few decorations here and there but nothing too much.

We walked until our feet hurt so we sat on the swings. "Hey (Y/N)...is dad even coming? It's almost dark." Levin said, a bit upset.

I felt bad that I couldn't get ahold of Aaron. "I'm sure he'll show up soon. Work is probably just busy." I said reassuringly.

Malachi frowned slightly, "I hope he shows up soon...I'd be fun if we could walk around as a family..like we did at the aquarium...until dad messed up." Malachi whispered the last part.

I chuckled lightly and swung back and forth on the swing. "A family huh? So..am I part of your family?" I asked.

"Duh!" Malachi said as if it was obvious. "Of course you are! You're the only one besides dad who treats us like family and not a burden."

I smiled. They think of me as family...that makes me so happy. And..maybe, when I confess to Aaron and if he accepts, I might actually become family. The thought made my heart flutter but I didn't want to hope for too much. It would be too painful if I got rejected but I wouldn't be able to just leave the boys. The only time I would, would be if Aaron fired me.

I groaned at my annoying thoughts and swung a bit more aggressively until I lost my grip and swung right off the swing and into the grass. I was just a few inches away from going face first into the pavement.... thank Irene that didn't happen.

Malachi was giggling as he got off the swing and Levin smacked Malachi over the head. "Don't laugh! She could be hurt!"

They hurried up to me as I was sitting up. "Hehe- are you okay?" Malachi asked still giggling.

I shot him a playful glare and grabbed him, pulling him down into the grass. Malachi continued to laugh even after Levin body slammed into him. I chuckled and got up off the ground. The grass was cold and made me shiver slightly. Malachi and Levin soon got off the ground as well and brushed off the dirt and dust on their clothes.

It began to get dark and I looked up towards the sky. The fireworks should be starting soon and Aaron was still not here. Did he not get my message or was he just too busy?...

"(Y/N), the fireworks are gonna start soon. Let's go find a spot!" Malachi said excited.

I gave him a small nod, "Yeah, I think this way might have a good viewing spot." I said as we walked into the school. We went up to the second floor and to the roof, having a beautiful view of the sky.

"Wow...so many stars!" Levin said excitedly.

Levin had a huge smile on his lips as he stared up into the sky. A smile soon formed on Malachi's face as the fireworks started. They were beautiful. Red, green, purple and many other colors exploded in the sky. I stared in awe. It's been forever since I've seen so many beautiful fireworks. Sadly, the many beautiful colors and the popping of fireworks came to an end.

"Aww...they're all gone....and dad still isn't here." Malachi said sadly.

I let out a small sigh, "Let's go home okay?" I asked.

"Yeah.." Levin said quietly.

When we turned around my heart skipped a beat as my eyed landed on a familiar face. He was breathing heavy, sweat rolling down his forehead and a bag in his hand. "Sorry...I was late."

"Dad!" Malachi and Levin yelled excitedly.

I smiled happily and approached Aaron. "I'm glad you could make it."

Aaron smiled, "So am I...I was afraid you'd be gone by the time I got here."

It was silent for a few minutes before Malachi spoke. "What's in the bag?"

"Oh! Right, I decided to pick up sparklers." Aaron said as he rummaged through the bag.

"Why don't we go to park and use them?" I suggested.

"Great idea!" Levin said.

We left the school and we walked to the park leaving our cars at the school. It wasn't too long of a walk. Finally we reached the park and went to the middle where a fountain was. Aaron pulled the sparklers out. He handed Levin two and Malachi two. He then pulled out his lighter and lit them for the boys.

They giggled as they made words out of the light and Aaron lit up a sparkler for me as well. I crouched down on the ground and Aaron did the same. I smiled as I stared at the sparkler as it made quiet popping sounds. It looked so pretty in the dark. Now would be a perfect time to confess my feelings...

"Aaron-...."
