V | you say the truth

Namjoon blushed furiously under the gaze of this random beautiful woman, and judging by the way she screamed his name she almost definitely was an ARMY. This woman was beautiful, the way her brown locks fell framing her sharp face, her intelligent grey eyes and even the way she looked at him was beautiful, no, it was ethereal.

He felt her hand softly pat him on the shoulder, "Uh, Kim Namjoon-ssi are you okay?". Namjoon finally broke out his daze, "Oh, I- I'm sorry".

Natasha, got over the initial shock of meeting her favourite idol and realised what had just happened. She slowly leaned towards him and whispered, "Take a picture, it lasts longer."

Namjoon watched in awe as she picked up her groceries and walked towards the exit with her daughter's hand secure in her own.

It was the cute child's wave that broke Namjoon out of his second daze, "wait!", he called out, but she was already out of his sight.

----------------------

The rain seeped through his black hoodie. To him, each drop felt like a reminiscent touch of the past. Back in the day when he was a trainee, he and his hyungs always had the worst luck when it came to picnics. whenever they went on a picnic, they came back soaking wet. And thus rain picnics had become a tradition among the 7. Those were the moments Jungkook could remember of him being truly happy, now those memories had faded into scars that burned whenever touched.

The rain started to feel heavy, just like the memories associated with them. The rain seemed to knock out the air from his lungs. Now common thoughts clouded his head. 'I don't want to liv-'

"Jeon Jungkook, get inside the car!", the voice broke Jungkook out of the trance he was going into. He turned her around to find his doctor getting out of her car.

"Dude, you're soaking wet", Lily commented, teeth chattering in the rain.

"Thanks, Sherlock", Junkgkook rolled his eyes, the vulnerabilities of the last few minutes dissipating into sarcasm.

Annoyance was etched into both of their features.

"Get in the car, I'll drop you home", Lily finally said, after a small staredown (which Jungkook won, by the way). Jungkook scoffed, "No, I'm not entitled to take orders from you Dr.Han."

Now it was Lily's turn to roll her eyes, "Maybe not",she started, "but if you get sick, you won't be able to come for the next few sessions and that means lesser money for me, which means that my poor sick mother won't be able to afford her medicines for the month. Do you really want to take away from a poor family's earnings?"

Lily knew that she had got to him when he let out a sigh of defeat and frustration. He slammed the door shut as he got into the car.

A few minutes into the drive it was Jungkook who surprisingly broke the silence. "What's wrong with your mother?", the part of him who missed his own mother back in Busan was curious to know about hers'.

Heat rushed to Lily's face, as her hands fiddled with the steering wheel. "Uhhh...., nothing", she coughed, "I haven't even spoken to her in like, years", the embarrassment and guilt was evident on her face.

Jungkook's eyes widened and his voice rose up an octave, "YOU WERE LYING ABOUT THAT!!"

Lily smiled unapologetically, "You know, I wouldnt call it lying. It was more of creative thinking to help you."

Letting out a small huff of annoyance and anger, Jungkook sunk back onto the seat, closing his eyes in the process.

---

Lily's heart was running a marathon, the fact that one of her favourite people on the planet was sitting in her car and something about seeing him in the rain, hit her harder than spending time with him- or rather, in front him, in absolute silence.

She needed something to calm her down. She needed her most trusted companion in times of trouble. She needed a-

Jungkook opened his eyes to the sound of slurping, and at finding the source he scoffed.

"What now??", Lily asked, hearing Jungkook's not so subtle expression of irritation.

"Chocolate milk? Seriously?? Who even drinks those? 5-year olds?", Jungkook asked words dripping with some sort of amusement and disproval.

"No! This 25-year old", Lily pointed at herself, "likes chocolate milk very much.

Jungkook ran his hand through his hair in agitation, " Everybody knows that banana milk is the best."

This was enough to trigger Lily, "Banana milk??, those taste like the after-taste of bananas drowned in poor quality processed milk!"

The gasp that left Jungkook's mouth was more than audible, he held his hand to his chest as he breathed, "Oh.My. God. I think I'm having an actual heart-attack."

"From the realisation that what I said was true?", Lily chastised.

"No, from the realisation that I spend four hours a week with someone with such poor taste."

"Nat, can you actually believe this guy?"

Lily and Natasha were currently resting on their couch in their shared apartment. They were living their childhood dream of living together as adults and it was the best thing in each others' lives. It erased their loneliness and gave them something to lean on no matter how tough their day was.

Sarang had just gone to bed, and the duo were having their usual glass of wine. A routine that Natasha called 'aesthetically pleasing'.

Lily had just recalled the day's events and Natasha listened quietly, providing sound effects at the required places.

"Nat, can you actually believe this guy?", Lily repeated, "I mean, for the rest of the ride he lectured on me on why banana milk is apparently better than water.

"You're in no position to judge Lils", Natasha laughed, "Just last week, you ran out to the convenience store at 1 in the morning to get chocolate milk just because you had a nightmare."

"This is not like that", Lily whined, "Also like, the dude never opens his mouth during a session and then he goes on to lecture me about banana milk for what seems like forever?!!"

"Lily-ah, then isn't obvious", Natasha said softly, "he doesn't need a psychologist to psychoanalyse him, he just needs a friend, just like how you and I did and still do."

A small smile broke out on Lily's face as she looked at her best friend, she was lost in her thoughts for a while, and then she shook her head as if shaking off all of her worries.

A teasing look replaced the thoughtful one, "Enough about Jungkook, I hear that I'm not the only one who had a situation with a celebrity", she teased, "what is this that I hear about my best friend and Kim Namjoon?"

"PARK SARANG!"
