Prologue - I
Jeongguk
To Jeongguk life was monochromatic. For a life that was once coloured with hues of every bright colour, darkness had befallen quite suddenly but not unexpectedly. He knew that Bangtan would disband eventually but he tried his best to not think about it or what he would do after it.
To him, his hyungs were his world; when they were happy, he was happy, and when they cried he would cry. They practically raised him—they walked with him, they were present with him at every step, nevermind if it led up or down. They hadn't deserted him, of course, but they were more prepared than Gguk. They had plans, dreams and ambitions they wanted to—or perhaps had to—seek alone.
It was the lack of those very same ambitions, and something else, that led Jungkook spiralling down into a void he didn’t know existed.
Two years went by after the disbandment and Jeongguk stayed where they left off; but he was not quite the same Jeongguk whose smile would light up the entire universe of their ARMY's. The new Jeongguk didn't find happiness in his former self that would sing, dance, direct or just smile and move on. He had confined himself to his apartment, doing nothing much other than wallowing himself in self pity. Anything that would've brought him happiness disappeared from his life, so he thought.
Jeongguk's life had become an insatiable void.
