yoongi woke up extra early this morning and went straight to the cemetery. today is a special day since it is yura's birthday. he sat across her headstone and lit up two little candles, next thing he brought out was a cake. then, he took out his laptop and opened the file he last saved.
—
YOONGI
happy birthday, my love
—
a sudden rush of wind came, blowing the flames on the candles off. it didn't strike him as something terrifying but rather he took it as a sign that she received his greeting, this drew a wide smile on his face. he closed his eyes and counted to three, by the time he opened them, yura was there, that beautiful phantom fabricated by his broken heart.
—
YURA
thank you
YOONGI
i love you
YURA
i know
i love you too
—
she smiled at him, and that's all he needed to see. she was still as beautiful as before, nothing changed, except now that her eyes twinkled and her heart is happy. he knows she's in a better place, but still couldn't accept the fact that she's dead.
looking back at all those dates he promised but he never came, and those times he failed to visit her because of his busy schedule, he cried of regret. there's no way he could turn back time, nor bring her back to life. she died and she took a piece of him with her.
however, love was not supposed to be about eternally sulking of what's lost, but rather about moving on and letting go of it. yura surely doesn't want him to grieve about her forever. from the moment he asked her out, she had accepted the possibility that somehow, they wouldn't last together. she's a fan, he's an idol. this is her fairytale, and fairytales are just fantasies. they don't last.
yoongi, on the other hand, hoped that he could spend the rest of his life with her. her face was all he craved to see every morning, her voice reflected the sound of the angels singing, her presence was his only comfort.

YOONGI
will you help me finish the song?
YURA
i'd be glad to
YOONGI
you know it all
YURA
you're my best friend
YOONGI
the morning will come again
because no darkness,
no season can last forever
YURA
cherry blossoms are blooming
YOONGI
the winter is ending
YURA
i miss you
YOONGI
i miss you
YURA
if i wait a little longer
YOONGI
if i stay up a few more nights
YURA
i'll go see you
YOONGI
i'll go pick you up
YURA
past the end of this cold winter
until the spring comes again
until the flowers bloom again
stay there a little longer
YOONGI
stay there

at the end of the song, her ghost slowly dematerialized. he screamed her name with a great desire to see her again. his love has turned into a sad song, even so it possessed the greatest harmony of all for that song defied the rules of heaven and earth. he clutched his chest as he sobbed over her grave, heavily stroking the dirt beneath him.
and no, she wouldn't come back again this time. perhaps in the future, when yoongi has finally accepted her death, when the spring day has come, she'll be there like she always has been,
like she always will be.
