Shaded Sky woke up to growling wolves. He quietly got up from the comfort of one of the Phi's and poked his head out of the den. The full moon's light glittered across the camp, the horizon glowed orange the sun would be rising soon, shapes and shadows moved, snarling angrily. "What's going on?" A voice whispered, Shaded Sky turned around in alarm but it was only Jay Talon.

"I don't know, it's too dark even with the moon light" Shaded Sky replied in a hushed whisper. "What are you pups doing out of bed?" The Phi asked "I heard growling outside" Shaded Sky explained, still whispering. "Stay here I'll see what's going on" the Phi then padded out of the den.

A howl of grief sounded outside, Shaded Sky shivered. "What's happening?" Mist Fall asked, her voice tired. "I heard growling, then that howl" he shook out his pelt, voices sounded outside. Shaded Sky couldn't tell what they were saying or who was talking "lets go look" Jay Talon then exited the den, Shaded Sky and Mist Fall followed.

Shaded Sky saw a shape on the Alpha rock, there was a group of wolves in the heart of the camp others surrounded them. Shaded Sky realised the wolves in the middle was the battle patrol! But where was Leopard Breeze?

Shaded Sky didn't recognize the other wolves that were surrounding the battle patrol. He crouched hopefully out of sight Mist Fall and Jay Talon on opposite sides of him. "Donu al ni la kubon kaj ni ne forpelos vin" a voice growled "Ne, Ember-Ĉielo! Ni neniam kapitulacigos!" Another voice called.

"morgaŭ je la noktomezo, se vi ankoraŭ estas ĉi tie, ni mortigos vin ĉiujn" Ember Sky growled, then he padded out of the cave, with his own battle patrol following behind. Shaded Sky didn't understand the native language, neither did Jay Talon or Mist Fall. Dark Gaze limped over to him and his friends.

Dark Gaze had many scratches that were bleeding and even a few burn marks. "Shaded Sky follow me" he sighed. Shaded Sky stood up and started to follow when Dark Gaze spoke again "Just Shaded Sky. Mist Fall, Jay Talon go back to your den" he commanded. They nodded and went back to the den.

Shaded Sky followed Dark Gaze to the middle of the camp, the battle patrol moved out of the way so he could see.

Shaded Sky stopped. The whole world seemed to stop. Blue eyes gazed at the fur in front of him. He looked over to see Rain Storm bloody and beaten but crying. Not crying about the pain of his wounds. But crying about the once golden fur, now bloody and still.

Shaded Sky trembled and padded over next to Rain Storm. The rest of the battle patrol had already left to see Spark Flame about their own wounds. "She saved me" Rain Storm's voice trembled "I was fighting Ember Sky, and he was about to k-kill me when..." he stopped and looked away. He shook with grief "she push him out of the way" he continued "he did it so fast I couldn't stop him" he finished.

Shaded Sky couldn't tear his gaze away from Leopard Breeze's body. There was a deep gash on her neck, not done with claws or powers, but with a sharp bladed weapon. Shaded Sky dug his claws into the the sandy dirt "I can feel your angry, sad, and confused. And I'm sorry you have to experience this at such a young age but, death is apart of life, and life can't exist without death" Rain Storm sighed then left to get his wounds treated.

Shaded Sky blinked multiple times to get rid of the tears, but they fell anyways. He gritted his teeth in anger, he glared at the sky. White puffy clouds drifted across the sky the sun blazed brightly as it continued to rise higher into the blue sky. Shouldn't the sky be crying too? Why is it all sunny like nothing could go wrong?

When in fact, everything went wrong?

I'm going to update this book every weekend. If I don't, I have this other book that I will publish instead as a backup.

So for example lets say I haven't finished the next chapter due to lack of characters, then I would publish one chapter of the other book instead, then by the next weekend hopefully I can publish a chapter for this book.

The other book is a MCSM (Minecraft Story Mode) fanfiction and at this point about 10 chapters are completed. For this book chapter 3 is done and I think chapter 4 is done or almost done.

This book is my first priority though. The other book will only be updated or published when I have not completed a chapter for this book.

By the way you can make as many characters as you want now, as long as you have made one male and one female.
