Hallucinating
The next day was more busy than the day before. He was working the afternoon shift, so today it was more people, even more flyers, Vanny being really excited everything was going that well, Evan not knowing which order to serve first and so on. But all of this didn't occur to him as important as to see that man again. He looked all around the station for hours but wasn't able to spot him anywhere. What he would give to know this man's name, or just the first letter so he could fantasise about what it could be. His thoughts drifted off, making him wonder what he was going to do after work.
He finished his shift at 7pm, no thoughts, head empty, just thinking about that guy he had been dreaming about all day and all night, and nearly overslept that morning because he was convinced he would magically know his name when he wakes up and pressed the snooze button twice almost missing the time to take in a few bites for breakfast.
Opening the door to his room he was welcomed by the mess he had left behind this morning. He threw his bag into a corner and started cleaning his room by putting all his clothes out of the luggage bag so he could finally hide it next to the wardrobe in his room making the room at least appear a lot more spacious than it actually was.
After taking a shower he felt a lot more refreshed and less tired so he decided to check out the bar tonight, he had to work the late shift tomorrow anyway. He got dressed up in a pair of black ripped jeans and a black dress shirt leaving the top two of the buttons in the front untouched while, again, buttoning up the ones in the back to make his wings fit. He made his way down the old creaky stairs to the bar and squeezed himself onto one of the barstools while making sure to place his wings in a way they wouldn't bother anybody. This place really got quite busy in the evening hours, he wouldn't have guessed.
He ordered a Vodka Sunrise to start with, nobody knew where this evening would be going. All he wanted was to numb out his thoughts, spinning around this man all day long. It would make him go crazy if this didn't stop soon. He wasn't used to not being all bubbly most of the time, he never was out of focus for as long as he could remember.
Being all caught up in his thoughts he didn't notice two girls approaching him at the bar. „Hey, may we take a seat?", one of them asked politely. He snapped back to reality, „Sure, want something to drink?", he asked sliding both stools a little further from the bar. They sat down and started talking. Turned out they had seen him handing out flyers yesterday, but didn't approach him because they didn't want him to feel even more embarrassed than he already must have felt. In the middle of talking about where he came from originally and where he wanted to go in the future he realised he never asked for their names. Keigo wasn't sure if now was the best time to ask but asked them anyway.
The girl who asked to sit with him was Rebecca. She was a little shorter than him, at least from what he estimated and had brown hair that dangled down to her shoulder and green eyes. Her friend, that was a lot shorter than her, was called Jane. Short blonde hair that went down to her chin framed her face perfectly and made her brown eyes glisten in the lights of the bar. They went on about what they were going to do these upcoming days, especially this upcoming weekend. „Excuse me, I have to step out of here for a second, gotta call a friend we've been waiting for", said Rebecca and left the bar.
Jane and Keigo continued talking about their hobbies and goals they wanted to achieve in life and were about to order another drink as Jane's gaze wandered over to the door. He ordered their drinks and took a sip. „Dabi! You made it!", she exclaimed loudly. As he heard a familiar voice, it was deep and sounded rough, he felt goosebumps build up all over his body. Even on the inside if that was possible. Keigo's wings puffed up, taking up more space than before and he felt a soft try to move them a few centimetres out of the way. He did not dare to turn around, but as soon as he did he felt like he was going to have another heart attack.
Next to him stood that masterpiece of a man. Even though he wasn't wearing a suit he looked spectacular in every way. „Good evening Hawks", he said looking at him from top to bottom. Rebecca and Jane looked at each other and started laughing simultaneously. „Hawks? Where did you catch that one Dabi?" Rebecca smacked his shoulder softly making him lean closer to Keigo who already was as red as a stop light. Dabi looked at him, sensing that the blonde probably was not going to be comfortable all the way if the girls what he heard him say to the girls in the train station. „I don't know, that was the first name that came to my mind when I bumped into him the other day on my way home", he chuckled a little, „and I think it's quite fitting actually." The smile Keigo's eyes met when he looked up to the tall male made his hand feel all weak, his hands went cold like ice. He gathered all the courage he could find within him and answered „Dabi sure sounds fitting too."
Dabi winked at him. Keigo felt like his heart was going to stop. He had no clue whatsoever what that man did to make him feel that way, but he enjoyed the feeling he got being around him.
„Jesus, would you two like some alone time?" Jane asked bluntly giggling and leaning onto Rebecca's shoulder. „You two seem to be needing some alone time", Dabi said jokingly putting a theatrical pout on Jane's face. Hawks meanwhile had chugged down his cocktail to help him cool down. The bad part about this was, that it did the exact opposite. He felt Dabi looking at him as he finally gained some courage to ask him. „Would you like a drink? It's on me."
The temptation was big for this one. How badly he wanted to ask if that coupon for coffee also applied at this bar but he composed himself. He didn't want to push him down that rambling hole again so he went with a simple nod instead while figuring out what he wanted.
They talked and drank for hours, Keigo didn't realise how time flew past but he couldn't have cared less at this point. He had been dreaming about this guy for far too long to go back to his room now. As Rebecca and Jane got up to leave he looked at the clock on top of the bar, close to midnight already. As he hugged both of them goodbye Rebecca winked at him and Jane giggled. What was that supposed to mean? Keigo didn't have the chance to ask. The girls left as sudden as they came here.
"Would you probably like to take that conversation to a more comfortable place?" a low voice asked. His face must have flushed all red then and there again. Why did this always happen? That wasn't typical at all! He always was that smart guy who always knew what to backfire, but not with him, not with Dabi. "Where would that be?", he asked, his voice close to breaking in the middle of this already short question. Dabi pointed over to a chesterfield sofa.
Keigo wasn't really relieved nor disappointed but what he felt sure was a weird mix of both.
The black haired brought their drinks over to the sofa and Keigo followed him taking a seat next to him. His jeans slid up as he got comfortable revealing his ankle to the cold leather of the sofa. They drank and talked about a lot of topics he had already talked about with Jane and Rebecca but he didn't mind. Dabi was a very humorous man in his mid twenties studying hard at university while mastering an internship at a big bank often working hours after closing time. Sometimes Keigo could feel an awfully tensed connection. He didn't even know what of the things Dabi did or said made him feel like that. These piercing blue eyes wandering all over him, starting at his wings, stopping at his eyes made him feel weak again. He couldn't even try to avoid them, no matter how badly he would have wanted to.
The looks Dabi gifted him with sure played a big role in making him blush like he did. "I will have to go to my room now, it's gotten late and I'll have to work the afternoon shift tomorrow and you probably should also get some rest as well", Keigo said and nearly forgot how to breathe when Dabi leaned over to him getting real close to his ear. He was able to smell his perfume even better now and damn did he smell godly! "Rest sounds good", he purred into the winged ones ear. "Would you like me to keep you company so you can relax properly?". The way he rolled the r in properly sent shivers down Keigo's spine. Was he being seduced? Right here? He was a blushing mess by now. Not knowing what kind of intention Dabi had and if he understood the tone of his question correctly he looked at him, his amber gold eyes sparkling with curiosity. Dabi grinned at him, obviously enjoying the mess he turned him into. "Just kidding", he laughed. Keigo felt kind of stupid for thinking something sexual could have been the intention. "Unless", as this word left Dabi's mouth Hawks was over and done with everything including himself. He blushed and covered his face with his hands. "Sorry", Dabi laughed, "Would you probably like to meet up again? I'd love to, you're easy going and a nice guy. And the girls seemed to be really fond of you already as well." Keigo felt flattered, agreed and wished him good night after downing the rest of his drink.
As he arrived in his room and closed the door behind him he flopped onto his bed. Has he been hallucinating this entire evening? There was no way Dabi really did flirt with him, was there? Keigo wasn't even sure if he would know if intimacy between two men was something he would like since he only had one girlfriend before and got kissed by one guy at a game of truth or dare. The thought of kissing Dabi excited him though, making him a little nervous actually.
Thoughts still spinning around the raven haired he got undressed, thoughts drifting off to how much easier it would have been if Dabi had done that for him and where the night might would have taken them. But in the end he came to the conclusion that they both had too many drinks today for this to be a good point of time and he really did not want to get played or disappointed by a moody guy during his first week in London. His thoughts still wandering around Dabi and all the things they had talked about this evening he felt joy building up in his chest by the pure thought of Dabi stopping by tomorrow.
