it's society's loss,
with a statistical gain.

she's falling apart.
if only we had some tape,
to slap on her heart.

oh, how enlightening -
she was so bright.
but the dust clouded her mind
and dimmed out her light.

oh, that's depressing -
they knew all along,
and like her, they gave up.
they know they're wrong.

oh, what a tragedy -
the losses go on.
too bad she didn't know,
before she was gone.

oh, add to the percent -
countless are dead.
