"Twilightpaw, what are you doing" Spottedmist gasped when he saw her face. After a brief moment of hesitation he pounced on her and pinned her down.

 "I should be asking you that, talking to that Shadowclan she-cat. Poisonclaw I think isn't she the deputy of Shadowclan, also what are you doing up so late?" Twilightpaw hissed. 

"Yes she is and what does that have to do with anything, and I am a warrior and I can stay up how ever late I want. You are an apprentice and should be in your nest or with your mentor" Spottedmist hissed back. 

"I am going to tell Goldenflame and can you get off of me" Twlightpaw spat. "tell me what" a voice asked "Goldenflame" Spottedmist Twlightpaw both said in unison both shocked. "yes it is me and what is going on, First Spottedmist get off of Twilightpaw and Twilightpaw what did you want to tell me".

"Spottedmist is mates with Poisonclaw" Twilightpaw blurted out. "is that so" Goldenflame questioned, "yes it is" Spottedmist sighed. "well I don't see a big problem in that it is his fault if he gets caught or if he gets his heart broken. But you Twilightpaw are in big trouble and if you tell anyone about what Spottedmist is doing I will never make you a warrior" Goldenflame snapped.

"but but.." Twilightpaw stammered "no but I am your mentor and what I say goes so get back to your nest now"! Twilightpaw stumbled back shocked by how strict her mentor sounded after a moment she darted back to camp. 

"Spottedmist, you need to stop seeing Poisonclaw she is not the cat she seems" Goldenflame sighed "but why did you not let Twilightpaw tell Hawkstar" Spottedmist mewed confused. "You are my brother and I love you but you need to stop seeing Poisonclaw, now lets get back to camp".

The next day Hawkstar told Spottedmist that Cloudpaw could have his final assessment today. When Spottedmist told Cloudpaw he was ecstatic "when do we start" Cloudpaw bounced "how about now" Spottedmist purred.

"So Cloudpaw for your assessment I would like you to hunt in till sun high and then meet me in the training clearing to begin your battle assessment, begin now! " 

Spottedmist watched Cloudpaw in secret as he did his assessment. At sun high Spottedmist waited for Cloudpaw in the training clearing as he waited he thought about what Goldenflame said Poisonclaw is a good she may be a bit intense and takes thing too far but she is a nice cat at heart.  

"You wanted me Spottedmist" Sunpaw mewed as she walked in to the clearing "Thank you for coming Sunpaw, I want you to fight Cloudpaw and don't hold back. Don't take this the wrong way this is his final assessment and I need to find out his strengths and his weaknesses."Spottedmist mewed with out turning around.

 "Did I do good, Spottedmist" Cloudpaw bounced as he walked in to the clearing holding 3 mice and 2 voles "I have more I need to get. 

When Cloudpaw got back he was holding two sparrows and a fat hare. "Good job Cloudpaw you passed your hunting assessment. Now it's time for your battle assessment, Sunpaw and Cloudpaw fight" Spottedmist called. 

As they fought Spottedmist observed how Cloudpaw fought. He seemed to duck and weave to dodge blows and would strike from the below to knock his opponent down. Sunpaw was having trouble dodging Cloudpaw's swipes and kept stumbling backwards until she fell on the ground and Cloudpaw pinned her down. Easily due to the fact that he was bigger than his sister.

"Good job Cloudpaw you passed your final assessment. Sunpaw you did well too I will talk to Hollyberry about making you a warrior" Spottedmist mewed to the two apprentices "yes" Cloudpaw bounced. "ok thanks Spottedmist" Sunpaw mewed as she got up and picked up some of Cloudpaw's prey to carry back to camp.

When they got back to camp Spottedmist walked to Hawkstar's den to tell him that Cloudpaw passed. "so Cloudpaw passed ?" Hawkstar asked "yes he did" Spottedmist replied "then I will make him a warrior now" Hawkstar decided.

"May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather below the high rock" Hawkstar announced "today we have a new warrior, Cloudpaw step forward. You have shown immense talent in battle and successful hunting skills. Do you Cloudpaw promise to uphold the warrior code and protect your clan even at the cost of your life". 

"yes I do" Cloudpaw called. "Then from this moment forward you will be known as Cloudstrike" Hawkstar announced. "Cloudstrike, Cloudstrike, Cloudstrike, Cloudstrike, Cloudstrike" Everyone chanted.

                                 ----------Cloudstrike's perceptive-----------

"good job my kit" Shadowsong purred as she ran up to Cloudstrike. "mom give me some space" Cloudstrike complained. "Well done Cloudstrike" Sunpaw mewed "thanks" Cloudstrike mewed "nice job, Cloudstrike" Twilightpaw mewed glaring at Spottedmist. What is that about Cloudstrike thought,  it must be nothing important.  "So Cloudstrike are you ready for your night vigil" Spottedmist mewed.

Cloudstrike had been so hyped about becoming a warrior he had completely forgot about his vigil. "yes I am" Cloudstrike mewed confidently.

"Good because it starts now" Spottedmist mewed. 

"ok, Spottedmist you don't have to worry about me I'm not your apprentice any more I'm a warrior" Cloudstrike purred

"Even though you're a warrior doesn't mean you don't make mistakes sometimes". Spottedmist sighed as though he was regretting making him a warrior.

"I'm fineeeeeee" Cloudstrike moaned "stop acting like my mother, it's annoying". "Ok, Cloudstrike" Spottedmist mewed as he walked towards the warrior's den. 

During Cloudstrike's he felt like someone was  watching him. "Anyone there" Cloudstrike asked. no response

"This isn't funny, come out now" Cloudstrike called his voice firm but worried, still no response.

It must just be my imagination Cloudstrike thought. 

The rest of the night was uneventful other than the rustling of prey and the occasional bird taking flight.    

At dawn Cloudstrike heard a voice behind him. "Cloudstrike, time to head back to camp"  Winterfrost called to him. 

"ok, Winterfrost" Cloudstrike called back. I hope Spottedmist is on a patrol Cloudstrike thought as they made their way back to camp in silence. 

When they got back to camp he saw that Spottedmist was leaving camp. "Cloudstrike you can get some rest you've had a long night. Winterfrost join Gingersong's hunting patrol" Striketalon ordered. "Ok, Striketalon" Winterfrost dipped his head and than walked toward his sister.

"thanks" Cloudstrike mewed as he walked into the warrior's den. "you can sleep here" Shadowsong mewed gesturing to an empty nest. "thanks" Cloudstrike mewed as he lay down to finally get some rest.
