[ Chapter 06 - Robert's surprise gift ]

- 3rd Pov -
The black haired man sighed, closing the door of the candy shop, a hoodie over his uniform. It was currently five in the
morning, and his shift ended.

He walked home, his left hand in his pocket, while the other one was holding his phone. He stared at it, a familiar telephone number shown.

"Shit." He mumbled. 'Should I text them? No not right now, they're probably sleeping. I don't want to wake them up. But they said I should text them right after my shift ends. They probably didn't know when it ends.'

He argued with his thoughts. He looked up from his phone, quickly freezing in his place. He almost crashed into someone's car. Jeez. He really needs to watch where he's going.

'Gosh can they get out my head already.' He groaned to himself. 'Not like there's anything THAT special about them. They're just... so sweet and caring. Just like everyone is. And their [texture] [h/c] coloured hair and [e/c] colored eyes.. How excited they are whenever picking a candy.. How sweet they look whenever they blush...- Okay, this might be enough.. I sound weird.' Kevin thought, weirded out by himself. 'Maybe it's a small crush. Probably.'

He finally walked home, locking the main door. He took off his shoes, and then headed right to his bedroom. He lived alone so no one was there to bother him. When he got to his room, he fell straight on his bed, his face hidden in the pillows. He took his phone out of his pocket. He brought the phone to his face, while he brought his head up from his pillows. He swiped on his phone, until he got to your telephone number. He clicked on a 'message'

'Heyy.. this is Kevin, the worker from candyclub haha. Which you might probably know.' He deleted the message, and wrote again.

'Hey. This is Kevin here. I just got out from my shift and thought of texting you.
Sorry if this wakes you up.'

He clicked 'send'. He putted his phone on the night table, and went to sleep. Forgetting to put a blanket over himself.

Your pov
■ You woke up, a drool coming out of your mouth. You quickly wiped the drool from your face. Then, looked around yourself, noticing everyone is still asleep. You didn't really move, trying not to wake them up yet.

You then noticed your phone glowing, showing '1 new message from 'Unknown'.

You grabbed the phone and looked at the message, smiling after reading it.

'Hey. This is Kevin here. I just got from my shift and thought of texting you.
Sorry if this wakes you up.'

You quickly typed an answer, trying for it to not sound dry.

'Hey Kevs! I'm glad you texted me. And don't worry about waking me up! I woke up by myself. How are you doing though?'

You sent him a reply. Then you thought of a nickname for him. 'Hmm.. what about.. ah! A petunia!' You smiled satisfied. You then put the phone away and went back to sleep since it was only about eight in the morning.

- 3rd pov [ Robert's pov ]
■ The curly blonde boy came home from his sleepover with his friends, the bag filled with sweets and various of candies in his hands. He placed the bag on the table, before taking off his cap and hoodie. "Radfooord, Robinnn? I'm homeee!"

The boy shouted, awaiting a response.
"Robert? You're home already?" He heard his brother say from kitchen. Robert quickly hurried to the kitchen, taking the bag with him.

When he arrived at the kitchen, his brother turned to face him, and looked at him with a raised brow. "What's in that bag? You don't plan to prank anyone again right?"
His older brother Radford questioned.

The younger boy looked at him, before looking at the bag, shaking his head.

"Nonono, it's for Rose! While hanging out with the gang, I met [Y/n]! We talked for a bit and they gave me this gift for Rose, oh and she says hi!" Robert said, making Radford perk up at the mention of his old classmate. "[Y/n]? How are they doing?" His older brother questioned, his attention set on making his breakfast, glancing there and there at his brother.

"I never asked them.. but they seemed to be doing fine! They were babysitting the trouble kids Skid and Pump though." Robert said, going to sit on a chair. "Ahh I see." Radford said. "Can we go visit Rose today? I'd like to see how she's doing and give her the bag."

Robert said suddenly, making Radford stop his actions. "Of course we can, I'm sure she'll appreciate it." Radford said smiling.

Radford started the car, Robert sitting in the back seat looking out of the car. He watched the street, with his elbow placed on the car door, holding his cheek. He watched as the sky got darker.

When they finally arrived, Radford parked the car and they went to the hospital.

Inside, a blonde woman in a blue mask and hat was calling with someone, probably for work.

When she noticed the two, she quickly ended the call and brought her attention to them.

"We'd like to see Rose, room 209. Both of us are her relatives, brothers." The woman nodded, and gave them both white bracelets.

When they arrived at her room and opened the door, the blonde haired girl turned her attention from window to the door, before smiling. "Rad.. Rob you came." She smiled, as both of her brothers hugged her form carefuly. "Heyy sis.. how have you been doing..?" Robert said, sitting on a chair, taking his sister's hand in his.

"I've been doing -" before she can finish, she coughes really loudly. "Sorry.. I've been doing fine." She smiled.

"I've got something for you." Robert went to search for something in his bag, making Rose perk up. "Here!" He took out the bag that was filled with sweets. Rose's eyes sparkled as she happily took the bag and opened it. "Thank you so much Rob!" Her smile got bigger.

"[Y/n] gave it to me and told me I should give it to you, she's the one you should be thanking." Rose's expression changed to slightly shocked, before she smiled weakly, looking at a table. On the table, there was a vase filled with light pink roses.

"I see.." Rose said, facing Rob. Suddenly, the TV started to play, as both of the siblings turned to face the older one who had a remote in their hand, facing the TV.

They turned to face the TV too, and saw that the happy fella show was on. "I love that show!" Rose said, watching the show excitedly. Suddenly, an ad came, introducing a new happy fella doll.

"Are you a big fan of the show "Happy Fella"? Well! Don't worry! We got good news for you! We've made a brand new happy fella doll exactly for you! Buy in the stores on 12.12. 20××."

The ad ended, returning back to the happy fella show. "WOAH! He looks so coool!" Rose said, placing her hands on her cheeks trying to hold in her excitement.

Both of her brothers looked at eachother, nodding.

"Sayy, since it's going to be Christmas.. Why don't we buy him for you?" Radford said, looking at his sister.

"REAL-" She was about to shout out before coughing really hard. "Yes really, but you have to promise us that you'll stay strong and get better, deal?" When she finished coughing, she looked up at him, grinning. "Deal."

Edit : While rereading the stories and slightly editing them, I realised how much my writing has improved 😭🙏

Im really a lazy person so I didnt edit the entire chapters, only small things and grammar errors. And also I wanted to leave the chapter be this way so I can compare the writing in the future :3
