[ Chapter 05 - The movie night ]

3nd pov
You and the kids walked to Skid's house, you were still holding the full bag of sweets, while the kids were finishing theirs.

You then noticed a police car in front of Lila's house. You raised a brow, wondering what could have happened now.

You noticed Jack slamming the police car, before getting to the front seat. You looked who was in the back seat, before realising. It was the two masked thieves you read about in the newspapers!

You felt relieved, a bit of your stress going down.

One of the thieves in the car nudged the other one with his elbow, pointing to you and the kids. You looked confused at them, before looking down at the kids, who seemed to be waving at them eagerly.

One of the thieves waved back at them, smiling. The another one seemed to be annoyed.

The kids started to do spooky dance, making the thief repeat the spooky dance, before the second thief had to take him out of it by hitting him slightly.

You then noticed Lila getting near you, a blanket wrapped around her with a mug of tea in her hand.

"Oh hey there!" Lila came to stand next to you, letting her head rest on your shoulder. "Where have you been?" Lila asked the kids.

"We met a new friend!" Skid says "And he showed me the stars!" Pump added

"The stars?" Lila questioned, moving her face a bit to face the sky. "That's new!" She smiled.

"OH! And we showed him the spooky dance!" Skid excitedly said "For spooky month!?" Lila said, returning the energy, taking her head off your shoulder, placing the mug in your hand, before doing the spooky month.

You only watched them with a smile on your face. Lila was such a good mother. You were proud to call yourself "her best friend".

"Well then, let's head inside, shall we?" You said to them, the kids nodding as an answer.

When you got inside, you went to the couch with the kids while Lila went to the kitchen to prepare the snacks. The kids sat on the floor in front of the couch, while you sat on the couch. You grabbed the remote, turning the Tv on.

You hummed while going through movies that you could watch. You lightly groaned, frustrated about not being able to find a movie, that would be enjoyable for all four of you.

You glanced down at the kids, who were playing on Skid's Ipad, playing a game for two people. "Kids? What would you like to watch?" They turned to face you. They looked at eachother, before screaming out 'horror!'.
"But it isn't fitting for your age.." you told them, with a frown.

"But.. we love spooky movies." Pump said, while Skid nodded his head. You sighed, before handing them the remote.

"LET'S WATCH OOGA BOOGA 2!" The kids screamed in joy making you giggle at them.

Lila then came into the living room, her hands full of bowls filled with snacks.
"Hey [Y/n], hey kids, what have you picked?" She sat down next to you on the couch, placing the bowls with various snacks on the table. "The kids chose Ooga Booga 2, we've already been at the cinema at Ooga Booga 1." Lila's mouth then formed an 'O'.

The kids started the movie, smiling widely while Lila leaned on you, resting her head against yours. You smiled at her and leaned back on her with your whole body. You grabbed a blanket from the side of the couch, and covered both you and Lila.

▪︎ After one hour of the movie, you yawned, trying to focus at the movie and not fall asleep. You heard quiet snoring from Lila, turning to face her, seeing she has fallen asleep already. You smiled, before yawning again.

You looked at your phone, checking the time to see it was 22:22. An angel number. How nice. You put the phone away on the table, returning to watch the movie. You kept blinking, closing your eyes trying to wash the tiredness away.

But before you could open them again, weakness washed over you as you fell asleep.

▪︎ The movie ended with a jumpscare of Ooga Booga, making the kids giggle. "WOAH THAT WAS F-" Skid screamed before going silent, because Pump whispered 'shhhh' to him, before pointing over to the two adults sleeping on the couch. "Ohhh..." Skid whispered. He then yawned, rubbing his eyes.

The kids then climbed on the couch, Skid leaning against Lila while Pump leaned against [Y/n]. They quickly fell asleep.

▪︎ The [h/c]nette woke up in a white room, with no exits. They rubbed their eyes, before looking around. They then turned to look at their hands, not being able to count their fingers, as the fingers kept switching. 'Oh right. I'm in a dream' they thought.

They stood up, looking around. Were they lucid dreaming? They tried to think of a door, or an exit, and then in front of them, a door appeared.

They walked to them, before opening it.
They walked inside, looking around. They suddenly felt more sleepier, and as if everything became heavier. But at the same time everything became more vivid around them.

They suddenly couldn't move, and then they turned on their own to face a tall, big man with a red sweather and a red mask with red horns. His eyes glowed teal in the dark, his eyes looking straight at them. They could see his unsettling smile which kept getting bigger as if it was possible. A drool came out of his mouth, as he was about to grab their shoulder, but they quickly closed their eyes and appeared in another room.

In front of them, there were people in red cloaks with holes in it to be able to breathe, surrounding a hole in the ground. Wait, were they back in the mansion?

Then, the people in red cloaks noticed the [h/c]nette, looking at them. Suddenly, a tentacle appeared from the hole, aiming right at them.

They closed their eyes, waiting for an impact but it never came. Instead, they opened their eyes to be met with another room.

They looked around, it was dark. Then, in front of them a faceless person appeared. They were fully dressed in white, their face non-existent. They had a [y/h/c] hair color, and on top of their hair was a flower crown made out of white petals.

"Veritatem reperi. Visita mansionem iterum ut alterum gradum propius accedat." The mysterious person said, making [Y/n] process what they just said 'Find out the truth. Visit the mansion for one time again to be one step closer..?'

The person in front of them dissapeared, as [Y/n] tried to reach out for them, only failing as their hand went through the dust.

Suddenly, they felt a heavy pain in their chest.

Their eyes shot open. Their breathing and heart beat was fast, and they tried to calm themselves down after realising they were on the couch in Lila's house. They sighed, before noticing some strange teal glow. They looked at the TV, the TV being a replacement for a mirror. They noticed that their eyes glowed teal and they tried to rub them, blinking. The teal eyes then dissapeared.

Did they just experience a vivid dream?

[Y/n] sighed as they looked at the trio. Lila was hugging their side, her head resting on their shoulder. Skid had his back leaned against Lila while Pump was leaning against them. They smiled at them, before putting the blanket that fell down, over them. Then they closed their eyes, drifting off to sleep...

Authors note : HEYAA GUYS IM SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING MY SLEEP SCHEDULE IS HONESTLY SO MESSED UP I GOT 2 HOURS OF SLEEP YESTERDAY AND NOW AS IM FINISHING THIS ITS 23:13 ALSO I HAVE BIRTHDAY ON FRIDAY!! 9.12.! PLUS I GOT CRAMPS JUST HOUR AGO AND IM SICK AS HELL. PLUS MY SHOULDERS HURT AS HELL BCS I GOT VACCINATED IN BOTH OF THEM. ALSO SORRY IF I DESCRIBED THE VIVID DREAM WRONGLY I NEVER HAD ONE AND TRIED TO MAKE THIS FEEL A BIT REALITSTIC. BUT I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS CHAPTER ANYWAY!!
