[ Chapter 2 - A cup of tea sounds nice ]

3rd pov
The [h/c]nette person tapped their foot lightly, humming a tone along side the music.

A vibration could be heard, and they turned their head to face the place from where the sound came from. They hurried over to the table, to check their new message.

Hey! Skid can't wait till you arrive :) He's really excited to go out to town, since it's "spooky month" again.

Awh that's sweet! <3 Tell him I say hi and that i'll be there in no time.

Seeing the messages, they smiled at the action of the child. They grabbed the bag of candy that was placed on the table, which was meant to be for Skid and Pump. They then hurried over to their hallway. There, they putted their jacket on. They wore a white t-shirt with a turtleneck, black-greyish baggy jeans. Over their shirt, they wore a brown comfy jacket. They then covered their neck with a [favourite color] colored scarf.

They walked out, not forgetting to lock their door. They had their hands tucked in their pockets, looking around them. The walk to Lila's house was about two minutes, which is pretty good for many reasons.

Arriving before Lila's house, they checked their clock. It was 4:47 PM., meaning they were early.

They knocked three times, waiting before hearing noise from inside the house. The door quickly opened, before they were greeted by an embrace and happy noises. "Oh [Y/n]! I'm so glad you're here! Come inside! The tea is ready. Still a bit warm though."

The purplenette dragged her best friend into her house. She offered them a seat as she hurried to the kitchen. She came back with two cups of tea, putting them on table.

"Skid! [Y/n] is here!" Lila turned around and shouted. Soon, there were loud steps on the stairs, and soon the [h/c]nette was in an embrace. "[Y/N]!!" The kid hugged their waist, already in his costume, while they sat still on the chair. They soon returned the hug, smiling while ruffling his hair that still wasn't hidden underneath the costume.

"Hey there! How you doin'?" They questioned him, while he went on, ranting about his day. When he finished, [Y/n] and Lila talked about things while drinking their tea. The kid sat on the chair in the middle of them, playing a game on his Ipad named "Roblox", probably with his friend Pump. The [e/c] eyed colored person noticed. "What is the game you're playing? Is that roblox?" They asked, while Skid's eyes lit up. "You know roblox?!"
He shouted with excitement. "Of course! Me and your mom used to play it all the time!" They smiled at the child, embarrassing Lila. "Stop [Y/n].. it's embarassing to let people know we played it as adults.."

After a while, they finished their tea. The [h/c]nette stands up "Well.. thank you Lila for the tea and the small talk! It was nice. I'll come back later and we can watch the movie okay? I'll go to the candystore and buy you your oreos~ Well Skid let's go."

[Y/n] hugs their purplenette friend, and walks out of the house with the small kid.
They turn to face the kid "Have you texted Pump already?" He nods his head excitedly.
"Well, let's go pick him up." He shouts a 'Yay' before running off in the direction of the kid's house. They sigh, before trying to catch up with him.

When they arrive at Pump's house, Skid is already at his door, patiently waiting for his friend. Soon, Pump walks out hugging Skid, with his sister behind him.

She then notices [Y/n], and her face softens. "Hello there Mx. [Y/n]! Are you here to babysit Pump and Skid?" She asks them, as they nod.."Good, well then. Have fun you three!" She says smiling, shutting the door.

[Y/n] looks around, seeing a white van with a hat on it, probably meant for an ice cream shop. "Say, would you two like an ice cream?" They say to the kids, while they nod excitedly.

They walked over to the van, but it seemed closed. The kids knocked on the metal window, with no response. The person also knocked on the window, with no response.
The kids then started to agressively knock, as their babysitter tried to calm them down, but then an angered man came out.

"WHAT!" He glared at the kids and [Y/n], before his face turned into a shocked face, before turning to a smirk noticing all of them. He was a muscular man, with a white "origami" shaped hat, blue t-shirt with a name tag, the name on it scribbled out. He had a black hair, clean chin, most likely shaved.

"Ey kids, you want some ice cream? And maybe the person here has a craving for an ice cream too? Maybe somethin' else?"
The man's smirk got bigger while he said this in a deep low voice, winking at [Y/n], making them roll their eyes.

They turned to the kids, leaning bit to their height, as the man watched "Which ice creams do you want?" "WE WANT SPOOKY ICE CREAM!"

They turned back to the man, the smirk still present on his face. "Well, I'd like four spooky ice creams please. One of them being the sonic one please."

He raised his brow, looking around. "Four?"
"Yeah two for me." He shrugged
His smirk turned into a smile as he brought a finger up "Ha well, I've got something for ya HAHAHA." He went to look for something in the back. "Here you go, kids." He said as he handed them out two ice creams that looked like a replica of the two.

"Andd a sonic and spooky ice cream for the beauty." He said with a wide grin on his face that looked genuine. [Y/n]'s spooky ice cream looked a bit like a replica of themselves in a vampire costume. They didn't bother thinking about why the ice creams looked like a replica of them, but they were overjoyed of their ice cream being a vampire. "Vampire lover huh?" The adult turned to face the man,
who had his brow raised, a grin visible on his face, while he was leaning on his fist, his elbow placed on the counter.

"Well, of course. Vampires are one of the most interesting monsters!" [Y/n] tried to hold themself from ranting about their special interest on monsters and their history, mostly vampires. They quickly shutted themself up after finishing the sentence.

"Well, I like vampires myself, they're pretty cool monsters ya know." The man spoke up, [Y/n] turning their head to face him.
"Guess you have a pretty good taste." They smiled softly at the man.

"You don't have a bad one either. Frank by the way." "Frank" putted his hand out for a handshake. [Y/n] looked at it, before shaking it. "My name's [Y/n]."

"[Y/n] can we go nooow? Me and Pump finished our ice creams."

The adult looked down at them, before they felt something drop on their hand, then they realised they haven't ate their ice creams.

They quickly licked them. "Well then, see you Frank." They waved to him as they went away.

While they were licking both of their ice creams, a little paper with a note on it fell out of the napkin that was wrapped around one of the ice creams. They curiously picked it up, reading it, and it had a number on it. Telephone number.

They rolled their eyes playfully, a smile creeping onto their face. They put the paper in their pocket, walking with the kids.

"Let's go to the town for a laugh!" [Y/n] looked at them curiously. "For a laugh? To the town?" They looked at them. "There's this funny clown that always says funny jokes!" Skid says "Yeah! He's in that creepy alleyway with missing posters on the walls!"

"Yeaah... we're definitely not going for a laugh anywhere."

Authors note : HEYA GUYS! NEW UPDATE!! And it's written actually good than the other chapter! Anyways I'd like to do informations about the reader. Anddd I have some plot for the next chapters and I have motivation for it so I might post more often! ( plus no write block even though I had to/ tried to force myself into writing something for the past days but that's only bcs I was lazy )
