You walked along the street breathing in the fresh air, enjoying the cool breeze that kissed your cheeks. You really loved morning as it was your favourite time of the day; loved how birds would fly high while some would be singing some song only they knew, loved how the morning breeze would make your hair fly which was tied in a low ponytail, loved how the beauty of nature would be at peak at that specific time of the day.

In short, you were head over heels for mornings, if that would describe your love for them. You did not even realize that you were nearing the bus stop which was opposite the pathway you were walking on which meant that school is just a few blocks far. You sighed, thinking about Eunae who is definitely going to find a way to do a good beating of you again. My life sucks.

You thought as you kept walking but abruptly stopped in your tracks when you found Jungkook halting, a confused expression plastered on his face. You had forgotten that Jungkook was also walking beside you, as he had promised so that he could keep an eye on your surroundings if anyone tried to do anything funny.

You almost laughed again when remembering his words back in your apartment,

"Now that I am here, you don't have to endure it anymore. I will protect you."

You had laughed so hard at his serious expression back at the apartment, that he had made a cute pissed-off face. You had tried to control yourself but failed miserably because it was so funny seeing his serious face. But you were confused about one thing, how the hell will he be able to protect you when he is a soul himself?

You were snapped back to reality when he said, "Grim reaper?" You immediately turned your head towards him before following his gaze and looking over at the bus stop. There stood a man in all black leaning against the bus stop. His front was towards your side, so you were able to see his face and it was pale like snow.

You squinted your eyes at him since you could not see his face clearly except for his facial complexion as he was hiding it under his hat. Woah, amazing!! That's the grim reaper?! I have never seen him before! You watched him but his eyes were on something else or rather someone else.

You furrowed your eyebrows and turned towards the direction he was looking, where you saw a blonde-haired man waiting for the light to turn green so he could cross the road. The reaper was watching him intently while glancing at the wristwatch once in a while.

"Looks like someone is going to die today," Jungkook mumbled while shaking his head. You turned your head towards Jungkook, who still had his eyes on the reaper, before turning your head back to the blonde. This time, you saw a girl behind that man, there were two to three people beside him but you had not seen that girl there before.

Strange, she wasn't here before. Wait... You started taking fast steps towards the girl as you wanted to see her shadow to confirm your doubt of her being a ghost. But as you were almost near her, she pushed the blonde-haired boy making him stumble and fall on the road. He was caught off guard and tried to stand up but froze in his place when he saw a fast-moving car coming towards his direction.

You paced up to save him as he closed his eyes and waited for the impact, but it never came. The driver of the car, as he saw the man on the road, turned the steering wheel only to get his car unbalanced and it rolled over the road multiple times, catching its engine on fire. The car was upside down, and people there shouted and were shocked at the sudden accident.

You ran towards the car praying for the people inside the car to be safe, ignoring the calls of Jungkook as he tried to stop you. You watched the car in horror as the flames kept growing, you moved your eyes here and there to see past the flames but failed to see anyone.

That was until you saw a soul of a man, who looked like a driver due to his uniform, coming out of the car, "No, no!" you shook your head while continuously chanting no. But who you saw next, ached your heart. Your chest tightened upon the sight of a boy, around seven years old, following his driver out of the car.

You were late, they both died in front of your eyes and you could not save them. A moment later, you saw that grim reaper from before, talking to them as he had some kind of cards in his hands, his back facing you. He then turned around, facing you directly, his eyes were now visible to you.

You both stared at each other as you felt something weird. It felt like your heart was in pain and without any reason, you were gasping for air as you felt your throat tightened, the feeling resembled that of someone strangling you. You dropped to your knees feeling weak all of a sudden.

Jungkook quickly crouched down too calling your name in worry, "Y/N! Y/N! Are you okay?! What is happening?!" Jungkook then looked over at that grim reaper, "What did you do?! You, asshole Suga!!" The reaper named Suga, darkened his gaze as his eyes locked with Jungkook.

He stared for a few seconds before vanishing with the two other souls. As he disappeared, your lungs were finally able to inhale air again, as you breathed heavily. Jungkook looked at you in concern, waiting for you to get stable again. You shook your head, never ever in your life, had you gone through this much pain of not being able to breathe.

You stood up on your own, looking at the burnt car and watched as people surrounded it. You could hear the sirens of the ambulance from the distance as you took your bag from the ground and left the crowd. "What happened to you back there?" Jungkook asked you as you turned your head towards him.

"I don't know what happened. I was completely fine but as soon as I stared at his eyes, I felt immense pain in my heart and then, the next moment, I was gasping for air. It felt like someone was choking me." You sighed and looked at the front again, only to see that girl from before.

She wore a shocked expression, her hands covering her mouth as her eyes were observing the car. You moved your eyes down to see her shadow but as expected there was none. "Jieun noona?" Jungkook whispered with a confused look but it was enough for you to catch her name.

She looked at Jungkook's direction at the mention of her name, running towards his direction when she confirmed that it was Jungkook who had called her. She hugged his waist, crying miserably on his chest. "Jungkook what have I done? I never meant this to happen. They died because of me."

You clenched your fist at her words. She was right, they died because of her, if only she had not pushed that man, they would have been alive now. "You are right, it's your fault. Why did you push him? Why? Just because you are a wanderer and can't ascend from this world, it doesn't mean that you have the right to take your anger out on humans."

She watched you with teary eyes before wiping her tears and disappearing from there. You were fuming with anger not being able to control yourself anymore. Jungkook put a hand on your shoulder, "She is also not a wanderer, Y/N."

You snapped your head towards him furrowing your brows in confusion, "What?"

Jungkook sighed before explaining, "She didn't kill herself. She is still in this world due to some reasons which she will let you know, only if she wants to."

You were confused as hell, but you decided to shrug it off and continue your journey to the school because you were going to be late if you would not hurry.

What you did not know was that someone was watching you, as you scurried towards your school. "Who are you?" He whispered but his friend beside him caught his words.

"She is Lee Y/N," his friend answered him with an 'it's obvious' look.

Suga tilted his head as he was in deep thought, "You mean the Lee Y/N who can see supernatural beings, right?"

His friend nodded his head as Suga hummed, "I see. That's why she could see me and Jungkook." He scrunched his face in disgust at the mention of Jungkook's name.

"Why? Are you in love with the girl?" His friend wiggled his eyebrows at him which urged Suga to slap his sunshine friend.

"J-hope, don't speak nonsense. We are grim reapers and we don't fall in love. We collect the souls and guide them to the afterlife. That's our duty and we are only living for that, so better think before saying anything stupid," stating his speech, Suga vanished into the thin air. J-hope shook his head, soon following suit.

"Your destiny is what God has planned already. You can't run away from it. You can't run away from falling in love...again."
