When Patrick star was just a wee little lad and all the little sea folk where playing on the playground Patrick made a friend. His name was Squidward, Squidward was the cool guy of the class and Patrick wouldn't have ever dared to talk to him if it wasn't for the fact that he sat next to him on the swing. As the two friends grew up and became moody hormonal teens and Squidward was dating all the Lasses in the sea Patrick realized he wasn't interested in the sea kelp. He was interested in sea cucumber. Whenever Squidward came around Patrick acted like a dumb fish in hopes to have more attention from Squidward. Squidward noticed this odd behavior and whenever Patrick came around his tentacles would quiver. Nothing ever came from this forbidden love for, who could ever except them? 

A long while later after they both finished their schooling days Patrick and Squidward moved in next door to each other. Life was happy and gay then, all of a sudden out of nowhere a pineapple fell from the sky! Not soon after they had a neighbor and Patrick was so taken by his beauty and grace he forgot about Squidward. Squidward was so heartbroken he became distant and cold to the world. Squidward shut himself up in his house all day only leaving for work which he once loved, now its a sad reminder of the magnificent dates him and Patrick shared. 

Meanwhile, Patrick grew closer to SpongeBob every day. He knew he could never forget his first love but, something was so enticing about Spongebob. It felt dangerous. Soon after the two where inseparable. Everyday Patrick's feelings grew stronger for SpongeBob every day but, he could feel Squidward in his heart, in every beat a small little whisper always said Squidward. 

The tension between Squidward and Patrick grew each day he could feel his love fading a little less. Patrick tried to talk with Squidward a few times but he became cold to him. Every fish in the Bikini Bottom could see Squidward has changed but, no one could do anything.
